Great way to explore the outer barrier reef

This tour is a must do! We got to snorkel and explore two beautiful reefs. We swam with turtles, found Nemo and also saw a shark amongst many beautiful corals and fish. The staff were very friendly and helpful!
SeaStar is the best

Always choose a boat with limited guests like SeaStar. They are always checking up on you - from seasickness to safety in the water and if course ensuring one has a great experience while snorkeling

Exciting day in the water

The crew were so friendly and made for a great day. Lunch looked beautiful husband liked it I was little sea sick so couldn’t eat. The water temp was beautiful.

The 2 reefs locations are great picks. Beautiful colorful corals and fish. The staff are so nice to help kids and non-swimmers like me to enjoy the reefs. Highly recommend.

An unforgettable day

We had an amazing time snorkeling with Seastar! The crew were all very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed a guided glass bottom boat tour at the first stop (included) and guided snorkeling tours at both stops (included). Our snorkel guide, Hugo, was amazing with our 4 year old daughter. He pulled a life ring over the reef for her to hold on to and frequently stopped to help her adjust her mask. (She also had on a life vest.) He remained patient and friendly throughout and still managed to point out awesome fish and coral. The food was quite good. Coffee and muffins in the morning and fruit and cake in the afternoon. Lunch was chicken wings, cold cuts, hot and cold salads, and bread - our three kids found plenty that they liked (which is very impressive). Water was available all day and I think you could purchase other beverages. The whole operation was very smooth. They provided stinger suits, masks and fins (even a prescription mask for our son who wears glasses). They had high quality life vests for kids and adults as well as pool noodles. There were also very capable guides in the water and on the boat making sure all were safe. We didn't scuba dive but it looked like they were well equipped and the prices for dives seemed very reasonable (first dive 85 second dive 45 - cheaper if already certified). Everything was very well-organized and seamless. This tour is kept to a smaller group of people which also makes things work well and feel more comfortable. The crew even took our pictures through the day and later posted them where we could download them. We would HIGHLY recommend using Seastar for a memorable and wonderful experience - they thought of everything!

Beautiful spot on the reef, great crew

Amazing crew and amazing spot on the reef. I did three different reef tours and this one went to the best reef location. The coral was so vibrant and colorful, and we saw loads of marine life including turtles and reef sharks. The waters were a bit rough on the ride out (can't control the weather!), but the crew did a great job giving us a heads up and making sure those who are prone to seasickness had access to medicine. Overall I highly recommend this tour.

Great snorkeling tour in Cairns.

The crew on this boat were outstanding. The were personable and helped all passengers to have a great experience. The number of passengers is smaller that other boats which makes the experience much better.

Best Reef boat ever

Best tour ever! Captain Archie was so special in how see saw to my needs and everyone else too. The crew were all terrific and knowledge and shared with us lots of interesting facts. The food was very good and lots of it during the whole trip. Glass bottom boat was the best I’d seen for all the coral and fish we saw. One of the best parts for me was all the pictures the crew took and that we could see on their Facebook page. Not being able to take pictures myself this was the icing on the cake. One last thing I liked that there were only about 24 passengers and 8 crew. Thanks to all of them for the best boat tour ever.

The staff of the Seastar makes your day an incredible experience! They are so helpful, and provide such detailed information about the reef and marine life. With six different countries represented the crew is truly international. We saw everything we wanted, a turtle, fish, reef and more.

Amazing experience run by a fantastic crew

Totally a life highlight. The whole experience was above my expectations. Obviously, seeing the reef and snorkeling in such a magical place was a privilege. My surprise was how great all the crew were and how well organised and safe it felt. They were a well oiled machine from start to finish. Helpful, knowledgeable and great fun. The food was excellent. I truly had a fantastic day. Highly, highly recommend.

Amazing tour! Captain Chris and crew were fantastic with the small group setting! We were all taken care of superbly: snorkeling sites were private and vibrant, buffet lunch was fabulous, all the gears were in top shape. Their coral conservation program was very informative! A must at Cairns.

Amazing tour and crew! The food provided was delicious and there was plenty to go around. The boat was a smaller group so it was not crowded at all. The sites were absolutely beautiful. The crew on this boat were amazing. I had a great time and learned so much. 10/10 recommend!

This was a small tour which was great! The crew takes care of you and the spots are amazing! They offer guided snorkeling and the food and drinks were delicious. I did a lot of research and this met all expectations plus we got to see the birds hatching.
