Like Having a Local along as You Drive

I was a bit skeptical about this audio tour, but took a chance since it was not very expensive. It was a good decision — as soon as we drove into the tour area, the audio began. I would compare it to having a local person who has lived in the area for a long time sitting beside you as you drive. You are presented with options on where to stop, which places offer the best views combined with a little background and history. Having the audio tour added tremendously to our enjoyment of seeing Sedona.

Great guided road trip

Nice stories of the past and very up to date guidance, including parking. We drove from Flagstaff to Sedona and enjoyed the commentary and directions.

Useless junk

It took 4 hours (and customer service) to download the tour. Once we arrived in Sedona, we turned on the tour. from that point, we had about 10 minutes of audio. We stopped for water. No more audio after that. Just useless screenshots and static data. Now we get emails asking us to re-book ??? How do we unsubscribe from this junk website ?

Daniel, our records indicate you didn't redeem the voucher code sent in the instructions sent by email and text/sms on the day you booked, in order to access your audio tour. Our toll free support (GuideAlong) would have been happy to assist, but never heard from you. Reach out to us per contact information in the GuideAlong app or our website so we can follow up. We do not have a subscription model, so I think you are confusing Viator and not us (the supplier) for assistance.

Good for price but a little sketchy on directions

The tour was easy to use and great for our long weekend in Sedona. Downside is directions we’re sometimes a little sketch at specific locations and it’s not interactive enough to ask questions

Effortless self-guided audio tour

Excellent audio guide for driving through Sedona; hours of interesting facts & navigational suggestions, effortlessly powered by GPS signal. We played the audio via Apple CarPlay through an iPhone and the guide automatically lowered the volume of—while not completely muting—our Spotify playlist. Well-priced for the content but you will miss out on a chunk of content if you don’t start or end in Flagstaff.

Hi Iqbal, I'm not sure you've experienced our self guided audio tour. The big "Where the Tour Starts" button lists the official tour introductions, or you can join anywhere along the route. There is no need to enter a destination (like a traditional gps), as all commentary plays automatically along the tour route. Audio commentary plays at regular speech pace, based on your location. Please reach out to us so we can follow up and resolve.

Waste of money

Very misleading when states self paced. Self paced for 24 hours only....not even 24 hours from when you download...you only have until midnight. Didn't even get to use. Downloaded toward end of day to get familiar for next day...next day...in app said completed. Total waste of money. Tried to contact help line no answer.....

The app uses offline maps as many of our tours go to places with no cellular service, and are only intended to show your location in relation to the tour. They are lower resolution to reduce size and not online quality maps, which require constant data connection. As the app works in background mode, many of our users enjoy using a dedicated map program alongside the guided tour. Worth the money and the timing on the guide and directions were good. Due to weather conditions we were not able to visit all the sites but once you buy you can have it and use it as many times as you need too.
