Get lost in the beauty after frenetic city time!

Wow, there was so much packed into this day trip! The beauty of the surroundings, the luxury of the transport, the fabulous food, great company, variety of activities.....you won't be disappointed, book it! The video the guide put together on way back was phenomenal!

Worth a visit

If you are visiting Hanoi then a day trip to Ninh Binh province is worth doing. Two hours from Hanoi you get to see ancient temples and pagodas and the beautiful scenery which is described as the dry Ha Long bay. This is a long trip, over 11 hours and a good level of physical fitness is required to climb the stairs of Lying Dragon mountain, the Bich Dong pagoda and the bike ride. Humidity is high, you need to drink plenty of water and bring a hydralyte drink. I enjoyed the sampan boat ride through the caves. It’s 1.5 hours long (a 45 minute option is available) sitting on a metal bench mostly in the sun. Lunch was amazing, there was so much food to try, bring money for drinks as these were extra. Our guide Maya was great, very knowledgeable and helpful.

Amazing experience of Ninh Binh

We had an incredible day at the Ninh Binh tour. Our tour guide Trang was one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had - really friendly, informative and made sure we had the best time. Also a great photographer/videographer! The stops were stunning and interesting and we had enough time at each. Lunch was delicious. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Wonderful day in Ninh Binh

Very disorganized tour, nice locations

Locations were nice, but seemed very disorganized. First stop was literally being shut in a room with a woman trying to sell bamboo products for 30 minutes. I get that they want to make extra money but this started the tour on a terrible note. A lot of waiting around because they combined two different tours into one, so half the group had a different stop for first location. Tour guide kept asking for pictures, seemed like he needed proof of some kind for his agency (???). At the end tried to pressure the group to skip the last stop at a temple because "it was like every temple". Sounded like he just wanted to end the tour early to avoid traffic going back to Hanoi.

Ninh Binh sites in a day

Only have one day to visit Ninh Binh then this is your must do tour. Our guide Thắng was fantastic. His English was impeccable and the tour was the right mix of activity and cultural information. Add to this that it's a small group tour (only 7 participants) and you've got the perfect day out. Well organised, luxury vehicle to transport us and a fantastic lunch, all in all a great day out.

Breathtaking

Breath taking. Today was absolutely amazing our guide Tam Pick up a limousine van. Then from there, we 2 1/2 half hour drive to Ninh Binh. What a gorgeous site. Reclined all 400 steps give or take a few to the top and had some breathtaking views of the valleys below. From there we came down, had lunch and then went On a boat ride through the valleys. After that, we want to visit some ancient temples and also on a bike ride. Everything was absolutely stunning. My only thing that I would change would be spending more time in this region.

Great tour to Ninh Binh

From start to finish we had an amazing experience. Before the tour we were contacted by our guide Bob on WhatsApp to confirm the collection time from our hotel. The transport to Ninh Binh was in a brand new limousine van with massage seats! On the journey there our guide Bob enthusiastically explained about the history of Vietnam giving many details about the wars that the country had fought and won. On the tour we visited Mua Caves, Bich Dong Pagoda, Tam Coc grottoes we cycled through a local village. Enjoyed a lovely lunch near the river. The highlight for me was the lunch and the boat ride but the whole day was amazing. Thank you Bob.

A good outing

Our Guide "Hieu" was humble, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Whirlwind tour was smoothly conducted. If I have to honestly point out something it was that he was hard to follow as his command over the English language, including his accent as a tour guide leaves a bit to be disired (nothing against him, he is the best in general). Another point I would like to highlight is, I am not sure if it's a norm but they get pushy for a 5 star review ( in my opinion reviews should be our honest opinion). Another last but Not the least thing I want to highlight here is (not against the guide) I opted this tour after comparing other tours though it was slightly expensive after reading that for those who can't cycle a van would drop them to the final highlight of the tour as my wife could not ride a bicycle This option was politely refused and she had to wait for us alone at a lunch place till we finished our excursion. (it's misleading to advertise if it's not included).

Nice tour

We were a family of 4 with 2 kids under 5. The tour was great. Our family did well with the short ride. We enjoyed the boat ride a lot and our children we excited by the caves. We loved the hike to the dragon. I think the top is a little less safe than other places we’ve hiked but we were able to stop just before the dragon and that felt very safe. We didn’t do the bike ride because everyone in our group thought they might skip it. That was okay with us. I did wish we brought swimsuits because where we ate lunch had a beautiful pool that would be great to swim with the kids for a bit to cool off or while others rode the bikes.

Great Ninh Binh day tour

This was a great full day trip and very recommended for first timers in Vietnam, starting with the hotel pick up, Bob our tour guide was energetic, knows a lot about the history and takes time to provide relevant data and make the experience fun. Be prepared for hiking and lot of steps up the mountain. Lunch was great. Loved the bike ride through the Vietnam country side and the boat ride scenery through 3 caves and rice fields. Expect 2 hour drive in each direction in comfortable minibus with individual spacious seats. Bring cash for tips! Ponchos and 2 bottles of water provided at no additional cost; lots of restroom stops. Again, great way to spend a full day in Vietnam!!

An excellent, full-on day

An excellent day led by Bob, a very friendly and very knowledgeable tour guide. The scenery around Ninh Binh is beautiful, and the food provided at lunch was delicious! The day is full-on with a lot of (very enjoyable activities), but if you want a more leisurely day, this might not be the tour for you. However, this trip was perfect for us as we were on a limited schedule and it allowed us to see all the things we wanted to see. There is WiFi in the bus and the seats have massage facilities, which was also very nice!
