The Royal Mews var intressant och det finns alltid saker du får reda på om Royals som du inte visste. Jag är ingen "häst" person så det var bra att få en bättre förståelse för rollen som Royal Mews spelar och att faktiskt se vagnarna var en bonus - jag kommer nu att uppskatta dem mer när jag ser dem på TV! De statliga rummen var fantastiska - så fulla av historia, inredningen, historien bakom vissa stycken, konstverket av vilka några går tillbaka 500 år! Att se Camillas kröningsklänning så nära, den invecklade detaljen. En fantastisk upplevelse och så glad att jag gjorde denna turné.

Royal Mews var fantastiskt! Ljudrundtur i palatset... en besvikelse

Royal Mews-delen av turnén var bättre än palatset. . . Vi hade en levande person som gav oss rundturen i Royal mews, Francesca från Italien, och hon var helt underbar. personlig, kunnig, intressant och rolig. . . en utmärkt raconteur. Palace-delen av turnén var av ljudguide; berättaren var tröttsam och kvav, utan någon personlighet eller intressanta anekdoter. Dessutom var själva mekanismen besvärlig att hela tiden behöva ta reda på vilket rum jag var i och vilken knapp jag skulle trycka på. Jag lämnade Buckingham Palace besviken och överväldigad. Om det finns en rundtur där du kan ha en person som ger en rundtur på Palace, skulle jag definitivt gå den vägen!

Upplevelsen som helhet var otrolig. Jag planerade min resa runt besöket. Se till att inte ta med några drycker förutom vatten. Inga papperskorgar runt palatset för säkerhet. Ljudguiderna är mycket informativa och du kan styra takten så att du kan spendera extra tid i ett utrymme om du vill. Det finns även ställen att sitta ner då och då, men det är ca. 90 minuter lång om du tar dig tid. Missa inte målningarna... så många mästare att se. Och om du fångar det, finns det ett litet fotografi på väggen av drottning Elizabeth som sitter i en stol med utsikt över trädgården i en intilliggande hall (vi minns att det är på höger sida när du går in i en av de långa salarna). Försök att hitta det! Jag känner att hon håller ett öga på saker och ting?

Well worth it

I've lived in London for 30 years and never really wanted to visit Buckingham Palace but had family visiting who were very keen so we booked this tour. I was pleasantly surprised and absolutely loved it! There were 3 adults and 5 children varying in ages from 5 - 16, and everyone of them really enjoyed the tour. The Royal Mews was excellent, the horses a real highlight. The Buckingham Palace tour was fascinating, the art collection was amazing. The audio guide is well worth listening too but as with most audio guides the headsets aren't great quality. The ticket office isn't actually very easy to find, the details for collection were different on the website than on the tickets but once at Buckingham Palace we found the collection point easily on Buckingham Palace Road. I would definitely recommend this tour and may even do it again as I'm sure I missed some of the amazing things to see.

You have to see this. All the royal carriages and the stables including the gold carriage recently used by King Charles for the recent coronation. It’s hard to describe the opulence.

There’s no air...

There’s no air conditioner inside the palace. I would advice to visit on cooler days. Plus it was so crowded that added to the humidity.
