Vilken underbar dag med Andrea G.! Andreas passion för konst, kultur och mat i Spanien tog verkligen fram historien om Madrid, vilket gjorde att vi kunde dyka in i konsten på Pradomuseet och maten i de omgivande stadsdelarna på ett sätt som förde allt samman. Roligt, lagom tempo och så kunnig. Vi har varit över hela världen och den här turnén var överlägset vår favorit!

Pra a Tour var fantastisk, även för en konstnybörjare som jag själv. Vår guide var rolig och underhållande samtidigt som vi respekterade museimiljön. Lunchen på Botin var solid för de flesta av oss. De noterar att de kan ta emot vegetarianer för dem, det slutade med att det blev en ganska sorglig tallrik med rostade grönsaker att äta och det är allt.

Missade museet

Vi kunde gå med i gruppen för lunch på Botin vilket var värt det! Missade museet, Uber-föraren visste inte var den skulle lämna och när vi hittade museet var vi tvungna att gå runt 3/4 av byggnaden innan vi hittade mötesplatsen och det var för sent. Gruppen var borta. 2 saker som skulle ha varit användbara för oss i anvisningarna skickade via e-post... . notera att mötestiden är 9:30. Bara starttiden angavs. Notera också Goya-staturen som nämns på webbplatsen men inte anvisningarna i det skickade e-postmeddelandet. Första gången i Madrid och visste ingenting om museet och deras verksamhet. 100-tals kanske 1000-tals människor har redan ställt upp.

Out of fairness to punctual guests, we don't wait for latecomers but in fact can't wait for latecomers as we get the first entry tickets to the museum. We make it as clear as possible to arrive to the meeting point 15 minutes before the departure time but we will double check that the email you mention states this as well. We are glad you were able to join later on for the Botín lunch though and the VIP experience of seeing Botín at its quietest: before it opens to the public. Rundturen i El Prado-museet, även om den var lite kort, var stjärnan. Vår guide, Shawn, var extremt kunnig och personlig. Lunchen/turnén till El Sobrino de Botin var minst sagt utsökt. Maten var att dö för och tjänsten var i nivå med alla 5-stjärniga anläggningar.

It's true that one could spend hours even days in the Prado and not see more than a fraction of the immense collection. In our case, it's true that we aim to show our guests the master's and other curious pieces that we love in about 90 minutes. After that, we must head to Botín where we have special, early access to the restaurant which is like a living museum. Prado, reseguide tillbringade mycket tid på vissa områden, inte tillräckligt på andra, även om det var svårt att hantera den här bokningen med lunch inkluderad. Promenaden till Botin innehöll ett stopp vid en bar vilket verkligen var onödigt och mer tid i Prado hade varit uppskattat. Botin var 5 stjärnor som man kom ihåg, underbar upplevelse där.

Den värsta delen av turen var förmodligen att äta en överdådig måltid framför guiden som inte fick delta. Han sa: "Måltiden är till för kunderna inte för guiden. Prata med chefen." Prado-turnén var en besvikelse. Beskrivningen lovade en konsthistoriker men vi hade en mycket trevlig guide som bara hade gjort detta en eller två gånger tidigare. Inte värt priset.

Amazing Experience! Must book!

Sean was amazing! We were able to get into the museum before the crowds without waiting in any lines. The Prado had so much to see and Sean did not disappoint. He explained all the different eras and in language we could understand. We would have been lost if we went alone. We also got into the Restaurant before everyone else and got a little tour of the wine cellar and kitchen. Food was great and the cheesecake was delicious! Must book!

We had a blast! I highly recommend this tour. It is kind of a whirlwind tour thru the museum but Arantxa relayed so much knowledge about the history of Spain all while showing us the masterpieces in the museum. The walk thru the literary neighborhood was intriguing and lunch was out of this world.

Andrea is an awesome tour guide. She is friendly, passionate, and knowledgeable about arts and food. Learned history of Madrid from her thru the paintings. The vermouth at Casa Alberto was great, and a nice break on the way to Botin. The suckling pig and burnt cheesecake were so yummie !
