Denna turné täcker ett allvarligt men viktigt ögonblick i historien. Vår reseguide Adnon var fantastisk och han var helt klart så passionerad och kunnig om att öka medvetenheten om denna historiska händelse. Vi lärde oss så mycket. Även om den här händelsen hände under vår livstid var vi för unga för att förstå nyheterna och den översågs i våra senare historielektioner. Adnan, fantastisk reseguide!

Adnan tog med mig på denna informativa och hjärtskärande turné. Jag kände till lite av historien om vad som hände vid Srebrenica, men jag var inte beredd på bakgrunden som Adnan gav mig och jag var inte beredd att se Srebrenica - Potocari Memorial och Cemetery. Adnan kände så mycket historia om Bosnien att jag blev mycket imponerad. Varje fråga jag ställde till honom kunde han svara på. Han talar fantastisk engelska och är en fanastisk förare! Jag kommer definitivt att söka upp honom när jag åker tillbaka till Sarajevo.

Besöket för Studieturen till Srebrenica leddes av Adnan, både förare och guide för dagen. Utanför Bosnien-Hercegovina vet vi en del av vad som hände via media, men med Adnans erfarenhet och kunskap fick vi mer insikt om hur händelserna byggdes upp runt juli 1995. Dagens första besök var på kyrkogården. En rörande upplevelse för alla. Härifrån gick vi till museet där fler av de rörande vittnesmålen visades inklusive en halvtimmes video. Ytterligare en gripande upplevelse. Den sista delen var Memorial, där man återigen sökte efter ytterligare gripande upplevelser. Efter en bilresa in till staden efteråt och en utsiktsplats med utsikt över staden, på en väg som är glad att Adnan hade kört oss också eftersom det var extremt högt upp tog vi oss sedan tillbaka till Sarajevo. Vi valde i bilen att inte stanna för en sen lunch på vägen tillbaka. Absolut inte en resa för barn, men för dem som har intressen i det forna Jugoslavien eller 1900-talets historia i allmänhet skulle jag föreslå som en lärorik erfarenhet för att bedöma en förståelse så är denna turné en att överväga. Life Changing + Informative

From start to finish it was brilliant. I was picked up from my address by Mirza in a timely manner despite it being morning rush hour. The journey to Srebrenica was smooth and scenic our driver Mirza was exceptional. Our tour guide Adna was brilliant, knew the history very well and explained it in great detail. She answer all questions we had. We met some locals where we were able to ask all our burning questions about life pre-war, during war and post-war. Overall an incredible experience that I have recommended to friends and family. I advise to bring your own lunch from home as their are not many restaurants available to eat.

Essential tour to understand and appreciate fully the “story”’of B/H and I was so fortunate to have Adnan as a guide

Traveling to B/H and not visiting Srebrenica is like going to Rwanda (where I worked for 5 years) and not going to the genocide museum there. Srebrenica is essential to understanding the country and the region’s past and its present. Facing the horrors of what happened there in July 1993 makes for a difficult day. However, our guide, Adnan, was brilliant, informative and sensitive, one of the best guides I’ve ever had in my 50+ years of travel to 60+ countries. I recommend this tour most highly.

A very worthwhile tour

This is not a typical tour - it is to the site of a genocide, the events of which are still well within living memory. On the way there, Adnan explained the context of the genocide, including the breakup of Yugoslavia and the war waged on Bosnia, the events and their aftermath. The two sites visted were the graveyard and the headquarter of the UN "peacekeepers". Adnan was a great guide and would absolutely recommend him
