One of the best tours I have been on!

It was one of the best tours I have been on. Only 8 passengers in a van driven by Urban, our guide, who was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of interesting information about each place we visited. We covered so many places, saw and learned so much in one day. It was a really worthwhile tour.
An excellent day trip with a gentleman tour guide.

A great day trip out learning about the Vikings and Sweden (past and present). Urban is an absolute gentleman. So friendly and one of the most knowledgeable people I’ve ever met. He is a fountain of knowledge and passes on the knowledge in a way that is engaging and educational. Urban went out of his way to show us as much as he could fit in on one day trip. If I come back to Stockholm I’d actually do the trip again. And finally, he took an interest in what country you were from. As we were Irish, and therefore have a Viking history, he was able to tailor the tour and include bits that would be of extra interest to us.

Booked this last minute (<6 hours) and it was no problem. The tour was fantastic- Urban is a very knowledgeable and extremely fun guide. The fika was great. Visits to Sigtuna and other places were extremely fun and informative. If you know your history/science, get ready to see some extremely important figures in world history.

It was such a great experience to learn the real cultural history of the Vikings in Sweden and also to learn about the changes in the Swedish monarchy. We got to go into the old church in Uppsala and it was unlike anything I’ve ever seen, it was absolutely beautiful. We also stopped for a fika break in the country side

The guide, Erwin (I may be spelling that wrong) was very knowledgeable of the area’s history and provided info not just on times past, but current times as well. A very informative tour. The van was comfortable, with enough stops to keep it interesting. The fika coffee break was a particularly nice touch.

Urban was easy to communicate with. Punctual pickup. He is a walking history book! My tour was a group of 5 in a very comfortable van. Viking history is fascinating. Fika was at a farm house with a very cute and friendly dog. We had lovely weather so it made the tour even more special. Thank you Urban

Amazing escape of the “city” with “Urban”

When we pulled up to the first stop and toured a “stone”, I was admittedly nervous how the day would go. Turned to my wife and said this may be a long day. It was a long and LOVELY day with Urban!!! I should have trusted the reviews and they were right. Urban sets you up softly with the history behind Rune Stones, and somehow brought the entire day full circle at the end with an amazing church lined with rune stones behind it. He’s an encyclopedia of knowledge about Sweden and Vikings. Fika break on the farm was the perfect break, the walk in town along the water was great, and we loved getting out of the city one day to see unique stops. Uppsala is a town you could spend hours in, and we probably never would have made it there without this tour! Thanks Urban for teaching us.

Absolutely loved this trip. Our guide, Urban, was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We had a lovely Fika break at one of the sites. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone curious about Viking or Swedish history!

I am sorry to disappoint you and I could see that I did have three critical reviews on this particular tour. That was my first negative reviews for over a year. Something must has gone wrong on the tour, please read the other reviews. As this review is not pointing on something special, I am not sure it has been placed on the right person/company. Viator, please check if this person was travelling with me. If not, please remove it. Is it any referensnummer to this comment?

UDUN was the most informative guide I have ever met. He knows his subject inside and out handmade the day very interesting!!!! We saw a lot and still had free time in Sigtuna which was wonderful to just wander around!!! Was a long day but very good!!! Aka and coffee was nice too but in my opinion it should be served with cream Ha ha

Our guide, Urban, was a wealth of knowledge on everything Viking. If you enjoy Viking history, this is the tour for you. The Fika Swedish Coffee break was at the most adorable place. The tour went by way too quickly, it was all day, but was so enjoyable that the day went by too quickly.
