Thank you for your review! What you mention above made us arrive at Vasa Museum about half an hour or 45 minutes later than planned, which never happened before, and we are very sorry for that. First of all, I agree with you; it is important not to be late to the tour's starting point. (We, the guides, are at the starting point ten minutes before the start time.) It is also a good idea to try to keep up with the group if you need to take phone calls during our walking tour. Not doing this causes inconvenience to the other participants, and since the guide has tickets for the museum for the whole group, leaving somebody behind is not a good alternative.
About the length of the tour, it starts at 10 am, and we usually arrive at the museum about 20 -30 minutes before 1 pm. Then the guide makes a short introduction to the museum, and the tour ends; there is a 15-minute film in English about the Vasa ship and the salvage that starts at 1 pm, which we recommend the tourists to watch. Most tourists then stay in the museum for one hour or more. The Vasa Museum is a great museum; the ship, the epoch (the seventeenth century) and the different personalities involved in the commissioning and building of the ship and the salvaging are highlighted from different angles. And there is a good restaurant at the museum :) So even though the guided tour as such is three hours, the whole adventure might end up to four or even five hours depending on your interest and the time at your disposal. This is even when everything works as well and smoothly as it almost always does!
Thank you so much for your patience when we had to look for late and lost participants, and we hope to see you again soon in beautiful Stockholm. /Bengt
