Really worth the visit

It was just the 2 of us and Marco gave us a good run down on his organic philosophies, his modern winemaking equipment and processes compared with his grandfather’s. The range of food all produced by Marco and his family or locals with his wine was more than a light lunch, tasty and great range of produce and flavours

My husband, daughter and I had a wonderful visit with Marco and his family, who gave us a fascinating tour of their vineyards and farm, their wine-producing facility and how it has changed and matured over generations, and then a gracious tasting in their peaceful, beautiful environment. We highly recommend this visit as a must-do and most memorable way to spend an afternoon.

A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon learning about the production of organic wine from our charismatic host Marco. Lots to learn followed by a tasting of a range of superb wines served alongside truly delicious homecooked Apulian fare. A wonderful experience!

A great viticultural experience!

Wonderful! Due to it being the slow season we were the only guests on the tour with Marco. He led us through the vineyard, processing rooms, and to the tasting while explaining his philosophy and the technicalities of organic wine production. Very interesting! The wines were all enjoyed as well as the accompanying apperitivos!! Highly recommend!

A wonderful afternoon in Ostuni/Itria Valley

This was a lovely experience and such a great way to experience the beautiful Itrian Valley and enjoy wonderful wine from Puglia. We were able to arrange transportation to the winery from the train station is Ostuni, and our driver Davide was fantastic. The winery was beautiful and it was nice to hear from a winemaker whose family has been in the region for 5 generations. Marco was very kind and shared so much rich history of the winemaking traditions from the region and his family’s winery. The wine was delicious and the accompanying appertivo prepared by Marco’s wife was delicious. The meats and cheese were all sourced from local farms in the valley, too. My only criticism is that the wine pours could have been more generous. We sampled 3 styles, which were all very tasty. Would have loved an additional taste of one of the wines sampled. All in all, a great experience.

We had a wonderful experience with Marco! He's very charming and authentic. Much recommended for anyone who wants to have a great time and hear great stories about wine. Wine was great and the food made by his wife was absolutely delicious, with organic and very typical products.

Marco was a standout host who showed us around his family winery and then we sat down and enjoyed his delicious wines and amazing food cooked by his wife and brought out by his daughter. As a big group, we loved our long lunch which included traditional recipes and vegetables grown on the property. It was a fantastic experience.

We had great fun listening to Marco explain the history of his vineyard and learnt lots about winemaking! We visited the vineyards and were then shown around the wine cellar before enjoying lots of homegrown plates, accompanied by plenty of lovely wine. Marco’s a great host, Would definitely recommend!

Authentic, memorable experience.

We booked the 12:00pm tour which included a 4 course meal. The tour was great, really informative and never boring, Marco was great to listen to and kept you fully engaged. We toured the fields, cellar and machines that grow, ferment, filter and bottle the wine. Afterwards we had an amazing “four” course meal, it was more like 12 courses so make sure you come hungry. The food was amazing, cooked fresh by Marco’s wife with ingredients from his organically grown fields and local farms. There are three wines (white rose red) paired with the meal and we finished each bottle. You can buy additional bottles of wine from Marco to take home after the meal, they range between €10-17. The bottle we bought was fabulous, and we believe, hugely under priced compared to anything we have had - all round a great day out and we will 100% be ordering more wine to be delivered to the UK online and will visit again next time we are in Puglia.

Marco and his family were great. Food was spectacular and abundant. We had a wonderful time with our group (very small). We were not rushed and could have spent the entire day enjoying the company, delicious wine and food.

Marco was a fantastic host and the food his wife prepared was beautiful, each course accompanied by his superb wines, The overall tour and experience was excellent. The only thing which let Viator down was the transport which didn’t turn up until nearly an hour late - after numerous excuses and reasons which did not add up - which then made us very late for the tour and it was very stressful trying to sort this out for our party!!!

What an incredible experience. I couldn’t recommend this more to anyone looking to experience true and authentic Italian wine and cuisine. This was the perfect mix of informative without being boring and was genuinely interesting. The wines were some of the best we have tried in all of Italy and made entirely organically. The food was unbelievable. Every part of the four course meal far surpassed expectations. Do not eat before coming, this is a very substantial meal! What a beautiful experience and even better for helping local farmers who choose to cultivate food and create wine organically. Excellent!
