This was a really family friendly trip. They were very good at communicating (we had to delay twice due to weather) and also explaining about everything before we got on the boat.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because we were told not to take bags (small boat!) on the boat and so we got cold on our way back…

Sadly we didn't see the resident sea turtle but we did see plenty of other fish!
My partner isn't the strongest swimmer but he felt very well looked after by our guide, who's name I've totally forgot!
We did this back in May, admittedly it wasn't the warmest weather and the sea was quite chippy... wouldn't suggest doing this sort of activity in any of the earlier months of the year for this reason!

Will start off strong: the staff at the diving centre were amazing and very friendly. Really good English too. They had all of the right gear and it was all disinfected etc; snorkels, mask wetsuit, flippers. They also keep your bags with them behind the counter if you wish to keep them there, which is a nice touch.
The lows now…
I believe this excursion has been advertised extremely wrong. Firstly the title states that it is a ‘boat tour’ to which we boarded a speedboat, with no seats we were all sat on the edge worried that we may fall into the water at any point. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND BRINGING ANY VALUABLES OR YOUR PHONE ONTO THE BOAT!! The waves are so choppy the boat was literally flying in the air, no exaggeration there unfortunately. There was no ‘tour’ whatsoever, it took us to a tiny cove to which turtles could potentially be seen, let us snorkel for a while and then back again. No commentary of what we were going past, about the sea life in Tenerife. Nothing. The boat we were expecting to be an actual boat, so boarding the speed boat came as a huge shock. Once we got to the cove, we all struggled to get our flippers on due to the lack of space on the tiny speedboat. The waves were extremely choppy, water was going in our mouths and through our snorkels. The area of sea was not very clear either. The ‘tour guide’ was more interested in taking photos of everyone than actually touring us around and showing us different things. The photos when we got back to the diving centre were EXTORTIONATE to buy, and not even good quality as most were taken in a rush!!!!! We saw a couple of fish that was it, I am aware it is not guaranteed that you will see Turtles but you’d at least expect a bit more sea life than a few small fish. It also states you get ‘water and a snack’ water was provided however a snack was not. The waves were so rough that 3 out of the group of 8 we were in were all throwing up over the side of the boat, whilst waiting to go back to the base. I do not think it is a good area to snorkel in or to be in a speedboat. I personally feel it is badly advertised, if you are expecting a proper boat tour in a calm area of sea AVOID AT ALL COSTS. if you are happy with a tiny, cramped speedboat with no seats and no actual boat trip, then book away!!!

Hi and thank you so much for your opinion. We regret you weren´t able to see any turtles as you mentioned it is unfortunately a possibility with wild animals. We choose speedboats for our tours as do the vast majority of snorkel and dive tours in this area because they are far superior for shore navigation than the traditional rigid boat which moves a lot more, please do feel free to verify this information. As far as advertising it as a boat trip, this refers to the fact that we reach the snorkel area via boat and not via shore, which as you mentioned is true. We can understand if you expected a different boat however we do have photos posted in our website for anyone that would like to verify what kind of boat before arriving and are always happy to answer any questions from potential clients that reach out. Even in perfectly calm seas we have people feel sea sick and as much as we regret it, it is not always avoidable. We hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday and are able to encounter more wild life while here in Tenerife to better meet your expectations though unfortunately it is always impossible to guarantee sightings in the ocean. As far as the snack, we are unsure where you saw this published as we stopped offering this quite some time ago and have removed it from all of our publications. We will keep your feedback to continue bettering services. Thanks again.

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing this experience was, and that’s 100% down to the staff at the dive center. It’s clear that it’s like a little family and for the short time I got to spend with them I felt a part of the family too. They were caring, informative and funny and if it weren’t for the fact my holiday ended, I’d 100% have gone back.
I was very anxious to go out in to the sea and had a panic attack when I got off the boat, but the staff helped me through it and supported me so I could conquer my tears, get pictures, and even see stingrays! At no point did I feel a burden or like I was being judged and I actually really enjoyed myself despite the anxiety I had. Would 100% recommend to anyone, but especially those who are worried or anxious.

Let me start with something nice: this tour is very proper in a way that equipment is very well provided. They have nice fins, goggles and wetsuit.
Now the down side: this tour is about snorkelling in an attempt to find sea turtles. After getting dressed up, we boarded a powerboat, which isn’t very nice as there weren’t any seats, and we have to sit on the floatations on the sides of the boat. We arrived in a random place near the shore which we started snorkelling. The area of snorkelling which we are allowed is extremely small and limited. The waves are big in that area and there were no more than a couple of fish in the sea. For most of the time we were looking at rocks at the bottom of the sea. The tour guides seems weren’t surprised at all for not spotting any sea turtles. I feel like this tour is a complete scam and I am going to ask for a refund or dispute the charge of the tour when I’m home.

Hi, thanks for your opinion and we do regret you did not enjoy the experience. Unfortunately sometimes the animals do not come near us as they are wild and we do not manipulate their free will. We have done thousands of tours to the same area spotting the turtles and even more marine life but this is a part of ocean activities with wild animals which is why while we do advertise going to a turtle habitat we never guarantee what we can spot. We have hours of videos and photos with them which you are welcome to if youd like to confirm it is not a scam. The reason for the limited area is for your safety as this area is very popular due to the turtles and dolphins, it tends to have heavy boat traffic surrounding it, we as well as other companies respect those parameters to keep it safe. We hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Snorkeling was good. Good instructor and snacks and water for free on board. We stayed 1hour and 15min in the water snorkeling. Thumbs up!

The experience was exciting.
First comes the boat part where it is nice ride, you get to enjoy the waves and a nice view of the island. Then there is the snorkeling part. There were dolphins few meters away. Saw many kinds of fish.

I had never been on a speedboat before or worn a wet suit. It was nice seeing the coast from the sea. The organisation was great and guys were super friendly and helpful but no turtles well they can't guarantee wild animals but the snorkeling area had very few fish to see either.
