Jag rekommenderar starkt att göra den lilla bussturen - inte bara är det MYCKET mer personligt (möjlighet att ställa frågor till guiden, personliga fotograferingar i princip), utan du har också möjlighet att bära en jumpsuit och stövlar från företaget. Detta var en livräddare på grund av det kalla vädret, och du får inte detta på den stora bussen. Det finns också en eld som guiden gör som också förbättrar upplevelsen + middagen. Jag rekommenderar starkt att betala lite mer för den lilla bussen - helt värt det.

Himlen var riktigt dålig, regn & tunga moln men vår guide och chaufför Jonas & Rashid hittade en bra plats för vår lägereld, vi väntade och bjöds på en fantastisk show. En lång natt men väl värt det!

Baserat på deras beskrivning av vad som ingick hade jag förväntat mig lite mer. I sin lista över vad som ingår nämner de varmt kaffe eller te, måltid och mellanmål. Vad vi fick var en liten kopp varm choklad och ett militärt frystorkat paket till en måltid. Norrskenet var precis så, så. Jag förstår att de har liten kontroll över norrskenet, men med så dålig visning skulle jag ha trott att de skulle packa ihop och prova en annan plats.

Vår guide David hade så vacker energi. Jag kände hans kärlek till norrskenet, och att han verkligen ville dela upplevelsen med oss. Det har varit min dröm hela mitt liv att se norrskenet. Det kändes som att David gjorde allt han kunde; trots allt kommer Moder Natur att göra vad hon vill, för att hitta dem. Och det gjorde han. Vi såg dem! Magin och fantastiskheten, i ordets sanna bemärkelse, kommer att vara med mig för alltid. Hur tackar man någon för detta! Vår förare Patrick var härlig; tålmodigt tar oss med på denna resa. Jag är evigt tacksam för att jag fick den här gåvan. TACK.

A true great experience and amazing time

Nelson is the great tour leader, able to really chase the northern light. He changed routing according to the situation and we were having 3-4 hours great experience of the beautiful green northern light. Pity that was his last chase, but we all had fun and enjoy his tour guide.

We can’t believe we saw THE lady aurora on our first and also the only tour we booked in Tromsø. I do believe that there are a lot of factors to consider (weather, forecasts, etc) but I guess the stars also aligned for us. The Lady Aurora did put on a show! It was so beautiful our guide, Meda said that it’s probably the most beautiful she’ve seen this season. Never in my wildest dream and I’m glad we did it with Chasing Lights. Our guide, Meda was superb! She made sure everything was in order. She also helped me set up my camera so I can take photos of the northern lights when it decides to come out. I also loved how she was able to memorize all our names. Even though we were 13 pax in this tour (not a private one), she made it feel so personalized. Our tour captain/driver, Egidijus should also be commended! We all felt safe and kudos to him for bringing all of us to the camping ground back to our hotel safely. He was also super nice! All in all, everyone in my group agreed that booking with Chasing Lights is definitely worth it. They are all so professional from the customer support service who replies so promptly to all my concerns and queries to Meda and Egidijus who gave us a night to remember. I’ll never recover from this night. Til we meet again Lady Aurora! Ofc i’ll be booking again with Chasing Lights when that day comes 🥰

An experience not to be missed!

Alex, aided by his driver Patryk, ensured we got to experience the Northern Lights, despite very challenging cloudy weather conditions. They drove us to the most appropriate location based on the weather forecast having stopped twice before and we were not disappointed. The stars soon appeared, accompanied by several shows of the Northern Lights. Photos, food and information were excellent. Thank you Alex and Patryk for an incredible evening!

Our guide Michel and Patryk were wonderful and kept us safe and warm, as well as informed and educated about the Northern Lights. The setting was spectacular. It was nearly a full moon, yet the lights gave us a show anyway. Truly memorable and an experience not to be missed!

If you want to chase the northern lights in Tromso, you HAVE to choose this tour. The chasing lights team will do everything in their power to help you see the aurora. My group drove into Finland and we saw the most mesmerizing display! Our guide Nelson was very knowledgeable, and took the best pictures. A big thank you to our driver Stan as well! It was worth every penny. If I visit Tromso, I wouldn’t think twice before booking with the Chasing Lights team again.

Jonas is an amazing guide with endless knowledge about the northern lights, astronomy, and the world. He knows where to go, when to stay, and the how to encourage perseverance in order to endure the wait until the lights show. He makes you know his thought process as the hunt is going so you are never left in the dark (literally and figuratively). He makes sure everyone is comfortable and safe on this once in a lifetime adventure. The entire experience amazingly memorable and it wouldn’t be possible without Jonas. The guide spoke excellent English and was very enthusiastic and informative about seeing the Northern Lights. We stopped along the roadside when he first spotted the Aurora but we later camped more permanently to watch for them. At the spot selected, the slope down was a bit steep and as a 62 yo woman, I struggled to get back up the snowy slope. The guide was helpful and accommodating in assisting me. Perhaps a better spot would’ve been more level? Insulated suits were available but seemed to be more of an afterthought, so I would suggest preparing for a night out in the cold on your own. I would consider my shoes as you may walk through deeper snow. Also, bathroom breaks are in Mother Nature, so be prepared to go outside if you need to. The guide took excellent photos and later shared these with the group. The photos I will treasure forever. We returned “early” at 01:30 to our hotel. We saw the lights rather early and clouds came in before midnight. All in all, it was a wonderful tour. I would just suggest a less steep slope for the older folks.

We went for northern lights chase with chasing lights by minivan and could see aurora with my own eyes 😍… while this a totally unpredictable natural phenomenon, guides have really little control.. but I want to mention that they really try hard to make this dream of yours come true… our guide Meda was such a knowledgeable person explained so many things about the night sky , aurora, stars and space… and of-course helped us to spot aurora…-and see the activity….she and her team also made sure that staying out in the cold gets little easier for people like us, who are not used to with this extremely cold weather… thank you and it was an experience for lifetime 😇☺️

Michiel was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, funny, accommodating, caring... We were lucky to observe the Northern Lights early in the night, if this would have been a long night it might be challenging to cope with the cold, but the team is well prepared with the warm clothing etc... Highly recommended...

Amazing tour and guide

It wasn't long into the trip before we saw the lights and they only got better. The coach was cosy, and the food/drink services were great. The tour guide (Michel/mikal) was great, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and entertaining. He took amazing photos from the evening to alleviate the burden of trying to do it yourself. The group is small-ish so it's more personable and good for those who are anxious around big groups or worried others may ruin their own experience. Would highly recommend!

Look you have to do this if you go, no ifs and buts about it. Our guide was amazing, but the groups we travelled with were not the friendliest bunch. Our guide Lucy was incredible though!

Tour was great - our guide was constantly on the look out for lights and adapted to the conditions to maximise our chances. Luckily we saw the lights which was great. The campfire, dinner and stories were also great. Size of the tour was small which was really nice.

It was a snow blizzard when we left Tromso and had to drive 100KM south where some clear sky was predicted. A small patch of sky was visible and we all got out of the minibus onto a frozen lake. The clear patch got bigger and bigger and we were rewarded with a beautiful light display. A magical trip and so worth the effort. Well done to the Team for excellent tracking. Later we enjoyed good food by the camp fire. A much welcome end too our evening.

Amazing experience - while the lights are always seen by chance, Chasing Lights does the most possible to make sure you get a glimpse. Guides are helpful and make sure the experience is wonderful even when waiting for them to make an appearance.

Sadly, due to weather conditions we didn't see any lights. However, it was a wonderful camping trip, got to see wild nature at night. Special kudos for the guide, very upbeat, friendly, knowledgeable and energetic.
