I signed my seventeen year old son and I up for this tour, with no intention of taking part in it but didn’t think they would let my minor son do it if I didn’t do it. Our guide was Benji. He was very knowledgeable as well as extremely patient. He encouraged me to give glass blowing a try. If I made a mistake he showed me again and had me try it over, while being extremely patient and positive. My son asked him question after question and he answered each of the questions in detail and even showed us examples. I am so glad I participated and would highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Benji for making it an awesome experience for my son and I.

Fabulous! The best! Great instructor! Lots of actual hands-on practice. And we each got a piece that we made to go home with us! Again - our instructor was wonderful!

Amazing experience, highly recommend! Ana was fantastic, she gave a very informative tour to start the experience then did a wonderful job helping us make glass items of our own. It was a very hands on process, allowing us to make glass from beginning to end. Then you can either pick up your item the next day or ship it home. This was one of our favorite experiences so far in Italy.

It was really amazing!! The workshop is held inside the normal production, which really makes it feel, like you are in the middle of it all. The people there are very friendly and you can tell everybody loves their job! We also watched the regular glass production and our instructor explained all of the steps from start to the finished product, which was great. Wonderful experience! Just a tip, plan a few hours to spend in Murano, because the glass has to cool.

This was a great experience! It was amazing to watch glass artists to work, but a wonderful experience to try it out! Hillary, our guide, was knowledgeable and friendly. I definitely recommend as an uniquely Murano experience!

What an absolutely incredible experience! We loved every minute of this and can’t me more grateful. We were traveling with our 13 year old and we all got to make something different and really learned how to do it. This was 100% the highlight of our Venice trip. The area has a lot of great shops so leave time after. Fantastic restaurant nearby called Aquastanca. Truly delicious.

Hands down my favorite experience in Venice! The location is such a beautiful walk from either of the two Murano stops, and the historic facade of the building is beautiful. Overall, I love how kind everyone at Wave Murano was and how beautiful the pieces they create are. Benji, my instructor, and his peers were the best ambassadors and teachers possible because (1) they have a mastery of the technique, (2) they genuinely love what they do, and (3) they’re great at explaining things and creating a safe space to ask questions. I chose the shipping option for my creation and opening the box was like a Christmas present. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine and I can say I got to learn how it’s done! As a side note: (1) say hi to Nina the cat, she’s perfect. (2) take the time to arrive early and watch how they run things. For example, I took class at the same time they were all-hands on deck for a line of production they were doing for Cassino and it was amazing seeing master glass workers all work in tandem on such a large scale, (3) wear clothes you’re okay getting sweaty in because the forges are HOT! Have fun!

We really enjoyed our glass making experience with Anna. She was excellent at making us feel safe and made the experience the best it could be for us. We were shown around the factory watching the experts make glass was unbelievable, they are fantastic! We then got to practise with water before doing it ourselves. Anna helped and guided us the whole way through, she was so positive and really made it for us. Thank you Anna and everyone here.

This is a great experience that is well worth the price. We were extremely fortunate to have taken the class with Tam. She was kind, engaging, and always encouraging. She began with a little tour and history of the studio (don’t miss the arch as you walk in!) before moving smoothly into glass making. It was quickly apparent that we were in excellent hands. There are so many ways that glass blowing can be dangerous, but we never felt unsafe. In my opinion, Tam struck perfect balance between letting us handle the glass and making sure that the piece was actually successful (no easy feat I am sure). Not only was the class great, but the shipping could not have been easier. We were quoted a price before we started and the pieces arrived perfectly wrapped not even a week later. Even just taking a guided tour of this studio would be worth it, but I highly recommend the glass blowing experience if possible. It was certainly the highlight of our trip.

We arrived to Venice on our honeymoon and wanted an activity that was a little out of the box. We thought taking a glassblowing class would be just the thing and it turned out to be even better than expected. The teacher spoke perfect English and was so kind and helpful. We can’t wait to see what our glasses look like when they get shipped to our home in New York. After the experience you get to look around the show room. They aren’t pushy at all, in fact they didn’t even suggest that we buy anything. Then when we told them we would like to purchase a set of glasses they were extremely helpful. Each glass also has a lifetime guarantee so if anything happens to them they will be replaced. We couldn’t be happier with our experience. Highly recommend.

If I could give 20 stars, I would! This was a fabulous experience! Our instructor, Kim, was extremely knowledgeable, patient and informative. The entire experience was amazing and we can't wait to pick up our pieces. If you have the time, this experience is well worth it!! I would do it again.

This was so much fun. We first got an in depth behind the scenes tour of the glass factory. Our tour guide/instructor was an intern from Rhode Island USA (I forget her name sorry). After the tour she led us step by step through the process of making our own piece (vase, glass or ornament) she was very patient and knowledgeable and our pieces came out great. Could not recommend this tour enough.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Our class teacher was Cam and she was amazing!! She obviously had a lot of experience teaching and she enjoyed it. But let's start before that - the tour was VERY well thought out and organized. (We had never done glass blowing before.) First we toured the working factory. We saw the components they use to make the glass, the hot shop, the cold shop, and everything in between. Then we went over safety requirements. Next Cam had us practice with holding a blow rod, dipping it into water, turning and lifting it. Nothing difficult, right? Next we practice gathering glass from a small furnace. Our group of 4 were very comfortable because this class was not in the middle of the working factory, but off to the side so no need to feel nervous. Once everyone was comfortable with the steps, Cam helped us with all of the steps to make our product. Great teachers have a skill, and demonstrate confidence knowing they can help you out of any situation you get yourself into. She was so personable and helpful, and everyone had a wonderful time. We picked this tour over others because we didn't want to just make a bead like most glass blowing classes do. Two of us made drinking glasses and two made small vases. Nothing big and unmanageable, but definitely a more usable end product. Highly recommend this tour!!

Honestly such an incredible workshop, I’d highly recommend! Marco gave an excellent tour of the factory and was very happy to answer our questions. The tour is very much in the heart of the action. Then Ben gave an also excellent workshop. You do way more than I imagined, but very much guided by the professional glass blower so you never feel unsafe. Again he was extremely patient and was very generous with his time to explain each stage and the process. If you have any doubt on booking this, it’s worth every penny!
