Fantastic Day

We have had a wonderful day with Pache (sorry if misspelt) and her driver. A very long hot day (12 hours) but very interesting and definitely worthwhile, we loved learning about the history of this trip but also seeing the countryside once out of Bangkok. Pache was very attentive to our needs all day, even stopping for Starbucks breakfast :) pick up was prompt, nice clean cool vehicle, lots of water provided , and safe driving . Pache secured a train seat with the perfect view for us and the lunch provided was really lovely. We have really enjoyed today and thank our guide and driver for this. This private guided trip is a must do !

Fabulous private tour

Our guide was Tanya, all I can say is wow, she was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, we laughed from when she picked us up at 7am until we got back to the hotel at 6.30pm, it was a hot long day but it was an incredible day, the tour is def one you need to do, we did the private tour and it was the best way to do this as we could take our time or skip hits if we wanted to, highly recommend this tour group and if you can elect a tour guide please ask for Tanya

Great highlight tour of the Thai Burma railway experience espec for those interested in WW2 (Australian & Allies). The Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre & the walk to the memorial via the cutting provide excellent info (don't forget to take the audio info pack as this really contributes to the experience).

This is a worthwhile trip to take though whether you feel it is worth the money will depend on the guide you get. I choose this trip based on a blog of someone who had a fantastic guide, named Prim. Our guide was not so good and should probably find a different line of work. He made no effort to connect with us. When we arrived at Kanchanaburi where you board the train, he dropped us at a coffee shop and said he was going to get breakfast. He didn’t bring water for us as stated in the description and blamed it on the van driver, we pushed him to buy us some. He didn’t really guide, basically bought us a ticket and pointed us in the direction of the attraction. Even though we had a terrible guide, it is a worthwhile trip, but know the history before you go. The buffet lunch was so-so. ( the experience of the blogger was totally different, nice touches like the guide took them to the train stop before the town so they could board and get better seats, they had a served lunch, their guide took them back to the bridge to experience the sunset). I had requested their guide but the request was not accommodated

The tour was fantastic, everything ran reasonably smoothly despite a torrential downpour in the morning which caused some traffic delays. The lunch was good and our guide was attentive. It was a long day which was to be expected, make sure you take that into account when booking.

Too much packed into one 14 hour day. We skipped the waterfall & still did Not enough time to see the graveyard & Hellfire pass thoroughly. Should leave Bangkok at 6am. Mae did the best she could.

Fully packed day of history and local culture

My guide Tanya was great along with my driver. She was super knowledgeable not only about the tour items but filled with local knowledge and interesting culture along the way. I learned a lot and had a great time. They put in a solid 12.5 hour day with all the traffic in and out of Bangkok. This is a very lengthy day tour. If you’re a history buff this is a must do. You’ll also see a good chunk of the beautiful countryside. Hellfire pass has a pretty sharp drop in elevation and hike back up so be advised wear good shoes and be prepared for a bit of a workout.

A must tour while in Bangkok!

An amazing day walking through Hellfire Pass, down the same path of those WW2 POWs and later the train ride over the River Kwai bridge. Afterwards, the cemetery and museum with photos of their ordeal was unforgettable and their story very moving. Had a great guide-Pete who made the day so memorable, and his driver who got us through the Bangkok traffic without incident. Very highly recommended to anyone with a interest in this period of history.

From the moment we were picked up we felt that the guide was interactive and provided us with lots of information . Jill was fantastic updated us through out the tour . We felt that she gave us enough time at the cemetery to pay respect, but also kept us on track with the itinerary. Her knowledge was very good . We felt looked after all the tour . Could not recommend enough . This was one of the reasons I chose Thailand to visit and I am so glad I booked this tour to do it with . A must do when travelling to Bangkok

A very humbling experience. Hellfire pass and the train was very moving. We had fabulous seats on the train and a great view for lunch. Our tour guide Kent was very knowledgeable. Overall very memorable day.
