After choosing your hiking route, begin your private tour with pickup from your Barcelona hotel. Bring a raincoat, and snacks and water to enjoy in addition to the provided refreshments.
Then, travel by private, air-conditioned minivan to the Pyrenees, the rugged mountains that form a natural border between Spain and France.
After roughly two hours, arrive at the start point, and meet your local hiking guide. Then, set off on your trek, absorbing the surrounding beauty of the pastures, woodlands, and picture-perfect Romanesque and medieval villages.
As you walk, discover the contrasts between Spanish and French life, customs, and architecture in places along the way, many of them starkly different yet located side by side. Drink in famous beauty spots, exploring ranges such as the Cadí mountains, and slopes of the Puig Carlit and Balandrau peaks.
On route, learn how the mountains represent Catalonia’s cultural heartland, and refuel with a snack provided by your guide, as well as any food you’ve brought. After your hike, end your trip with a minivan ride and hotel drop-off back in Barcelona.
