Overview
Learn how to whip up authentic pasta and tiramisù like a real Italian “mamma” with this hands-on cooking class in a local home in Bari. Join your host in her kitchen to break the ice with a glass of Prosecco and snacks, then get to work rolling and shaping two types of pasta and assembling a perfect tiramisù. Sample your handiwork during a celebratory tasting to end the class.

- Please note that our Cesarine are ready and thrilled to host you in their homes! All Cesarine are always very careful and attentive of the important sanitary rules needed, even more now! The homes provide all the essential sanitary equipment for the guests (paper towels for washing hands, hand sanitizing gel and so on). Remember to always maintain 1 meter distance from each other and if not, wear masks and gloves.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

My host, Anna, showed how Tiramisu can be made from scratch and how to make some Pugliese pasta shapes, right from kneading the dough. She was very friendly and patient. She had also prepared a number of appetizers which were all delicious. We eventually also ate some pasta prepared with cime di rapa and the Tiramisu.
Anna was great company for the evening, at dinner she also shared a lot of tips about Bari and the local culture.

Christiania was so informative and so patient with us. Nona came to help out and she was such a treat! The hospitality was over the top. We were not rushed and just felt so at home the food was so delicious! Definitely would recommend!

Our wonderful host Juanita was very attentive & knowledgeable. She shared her families secrets to perfect pasta - we cooked both ravioli & orecchiette in a hands-on lesson. We also made a traditional tiramisu for dessert. We sat down at a beautifully set table to eat our home cooked pasta which was delicious!

We truly enjoyed the cooking class with our Cesarine Sara, it actually felt more as a family event than a class. We were welcomed by an Aperitivo with variety of dishes and after some food and chat we started cooking. Cooking was fun and Sara’s family participated in the process as well which gave us an impression of what cooking in a real Italian family feels like. Sara accommodated our dish wishes as we opted for vegetarian options and she chose some typical dishes from the Bari area that we weren’t familiar with. Communication was easy as Sara speaks some English and her children speak English really well. We definitely recommend cooking together with Sara and hope to cook with her one day again.
