First dive in over 15 years!
Arvid_C, Apr 2024
I had not been scuba diving for over 15 years. Yet, the instructors made me feel very comfortable and made sure I could enjoy the beautiful underwater world of Bora Bora. They were also super flexible by accommodating a last minute change. I wasn’t feeling well the day of the dive, so they kindly let me reschedule to the following day. Highly recommended!
Wonderful.

Provided friendly greeting and the introduction lesson was excellent and very patient. Extremely helpful .
Great intro dive!

I’ve done several dives but my wife has never scuba dived before. She was pretty nervous prior. They made her feel very comfortable and walked her through the entire activity closely. She ended up loving it!
Dive into it

Truly a great experience. Our guide Dan, took the time to explain things prior to starting and made sure we were comfortable. Once we were in the water he really helped get us calm and used to the tank and the breather. We had such a great time exploring below. We saw such beautiful marine life and eels to boot! Dan, thanks for making the experience so enjoyable! This was truly a highlight of our trip!
Great introductory dive.

The most memorable parts of the introductory dive were the dive master and the fish. The dive master put my us at ease and treated us to a great experience.
Pretty nerve wrecking at some point.
Ernz_L, Aug 2023
I chose this experience because of 2 specific factors, first being that it’s an introductory dive as I don’t feel comfortable with diving, second being that it’s stated that it’s a maximum of 2 pax per diver. It’s a bit grey for my experience, so let me elaborate, my dive were 4 pax to a diver, it was a mum and her 2 kids and me with a diver (JP) assigned to us. I was the last into the water, the mum and the 2 kids went in and spent a long time to what felt like forever, I didn’t have my watch with me to really tell the time, but it definitely was somewhere between 20mins to 30mins, the mum had issue with equalising her ear pressure and it delayed them. Eventually they went on to dive, leaving none of them in my sight while I look down from the surface of the water, trying to enjoy whatever I could see under the water as I do not know if that was it for me, I wasn’t told what was the plan, since I am left alone, citing that I seemingly breathe really fast and heavy when I got into the water as I was very nervous, because I don’t feel safe and at ease, hence I went for this introductory dive with a max of 2 pax and a diver. At one point I struggled with my mask and some water came into my mouth, I pulled the rope to bring myself to the boat and tried to call out for the guy who’s on boat (the one who drive the boat) for assistance but he didn’t hear me, I eventually got to bring myself in with the rope so close to knock on the boat to get his attention, little did I know, my elbow were black as I rubbed against the bottom of the boat and rubbed off the special paint that prevent algae, I was told about the paint after the dive and was explained about this special paint by JP. After what felt like a forever wait, JP finally came back for me and signalled if I’m okay and I signalled back “ok”, and we went for a quick look around the corals and explore some marine life and got back to the boat. I’m just glad I got to see the deeper part of the marine life in Bora Bora as it’s my first time to Bora Bora and I’m not sure if I’ll ever be back, this is also my first experience with Viator, so overall it doesn’t match what’s portrayed for the services. I said this is a bit grey as I kind of have a 1-1 at the end when JP came back for me, but 80% of the time in the water before this, I was pretty much alone on the surface and at one point struggling to get any attention, which is quite an uneasy feeling. Being a first experience with Viator, this is a little disappointing.
First time scuba diving with teenager.

Great time and great Scuba instructors. Worth it for the first experience. Good site to go scuba and part snorkeling.
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Thank you very much Franck, we really appreciate your nice review. It is time to go for the scuba lessons for both of you now. Hope you will be back soon.
Five Stars! If you want to experience an exploration to scuba, this is the company to use!
Susie_S, Jun 2023
Bora Diving by Eleuthera is a professionally run company with great instructors and captains. We were picked up at our resort by boat and taken over to our dive boat. All equipment was ready for us and the instructors were helpful and explained every aspect of safety and how to enjoy the experience. David, our instructor was professional and patient and our captain, Snow was super friendly and professional. We had a blast!!!
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Thank you so much Susie. You are right safety is our priority and we always keep in mind that diving is Fun.
David is amazing! Wonderful guide
Kara_F, Jun 2023
I can’t say enough wonderful things about David. He helped my friend overcome his fear of scuba diving and made it a very enjoyable experience. At no point did we feel unsafe as beginner divers. I just wish I had enough forethought to bring a GoPro or if David had a GoPro so we could get pictures of my friend scuba diving so we could prove to his friends that he actually did it!
Response from Host, Jun 2023
Thanks Kara for your very nice review for David. You have souvenirs in your head but you can come back with a GoPro. All the best
Can not be in Bora Bora and not scuba!
Gaston_B, Mar 2023

Thank you very Gaston and the family for your nice review. We really hope you will be back soon to enjoy and discover more to Bora Bora underwater world.
Nice Quick Intro
Nicholas_S, Feb 2023
The dive was very quickly launched with a minimum of fanfare. We snorkeled for about 15 minutes and then started to prep for our dive. Unfortunately my wife had a panic attack during the trip (not the company’s fault) and they were amazingly nice in trying to help her still dive. I did finish and really enjoyed it. It’s not a long outing so if you’re expecting some kind of extensive training look elsewhere. But otherwise a great way to get a taste of scuba without needing a lot of time. Thank you!
Response from Host, Feb 2023
Thank you Nicholas for your review. We are happy you enjoyed your introductory dive with us. We hope your wife will try again. You are right the introductory dive is an initiation, to discover more and learn the newt step is the diving course or the discovery dives. Hope to see you again for the training. Sunny regards
Super awesome diving experience
Yingchao_W, Dec 2022
Highly recommended this dive tour. 💗💗 Coach Terry is experienced, patient, and clear about his instructions. He makes us feel super safe. The view is great - clear and abundant corals and fish. Also, the diving spot is just 10 mins away from our hotel, Conrad. The short transportation makes the tour super efficient. Definitely a great advantage compared to the diving tours elsewhere. If you don’t have a professional camera, please tell the team in advance. Therefore, they could bring a camera.
Response from Host, Dec 2022
A big thanks for your review ! We really hope to see you again to discover and enjoy more ;-)
Most amazing experience
HsinTsai_C, Nov 2022
I’m beyond impressed. My 12yr old son was freaking out at the beginning. The lady instructor was able to calm him down and helped him the entire time letting him hold her arm. Even saw a sea horse. Thank you. Such friendly staff.
Response from Host, Dec 2022
Scuba diving is easy and open to everyone ! We love to share our passion. Thanks for your message and hope to dive again with your son soon :-)
First time diving and I loved it!
tanishat, Apr 2022
This was my first time scuba diving and what an experience! Our guide was amazing! He was very patient and made sure we understood everything. He would tell me something and then have me do it so he knew I understood. I felt extremely safe with him. I was so nervous before but I loved it once I was in the water. I would definitely recommend doing this excursion!
Response from Host, Apr 2022
The first time is always a big experience ! We are happy you enjoy it with our Team :-) Hope to dive again together !
An ABSOLUTE Must-Do
eke2k6, Mar 2022
Having never dived before this excursion, I can’t help but imagine having Mount Otemanu as your backdrop while you descend is probably a top tier way to start off. Big props to Max for taking care of us noobs and being patient while we got adjusted to the feel of descending. The price is very reasonable, and I know for sure I’ll be back for many more dives.
Response from Host, Mar 2022
You are right ! A first dive in Bora Bora, the Pearl of the Pacific is a must :-) We hope to see you again and discover more together !
This was not for first...
Tina_W, Mar 2022
This was not for first time divers and the operator was not helpful. He didnt want to take any pictures so I wasted my miney and had to sit on the boat dor one hour and never experienced the dive this was the most humiliating experience of my trip! This is not for the unexperienced swimmers like they promised. I should be fully refunded!!!
I actually dived in Bora Bora!
Mark_S, Jan 2022
I can’t believe we got to dive in Bora Bora. The instructor was extremely friendly and made things very clear. Felt very safe in his presence. The best first dive experience I could ask for. Can’t recommend enough.
Response from Host, Jan 2022
Mauruuru roa Mark ! Safety, fun & pro are the most important for us :-) Do you plan to come back to visit us for new adventures !!! hope to dive again together, Jenny
A splendid experience.
Michael_U, Nov 2021
Exemplary experience from pick-up to drop off. Maxime was pleasant and very patient with four beginners. Highly recommended!
The best excursion you'll do on this trip!
Nghia_N, Nov 2021
Matt was our certified diver that took two noobs at a time. He was very thorough and detailed in his explanation. When it came time to dive, it was intimidating at first, but easily one of the best excursion I did in Tahiti. Highly recommend trying out diving as you won't get such a beautiful view. Matt is very fluent in French and English, so don't worry about the language barrier!
