The whole experience was outstanding! My favorite part was swimming in the coral garden. The number of fish was in the thousands. They swam around me and with me. We had a perfect sunny day (don't forget your sun screen). My wife loves animals and couldn't wait to see the sharks. Turned out that was her favorite over the sting-rays and the puffer fish we saw. We ended our half day tour at a white sand beach with fruit and coconut bread. The water had to be near 80 degrees. We never went on land, we waded in the water about 30 feet from shore. We spent 80% if the tour in the water. But if you want to hang out on the boat and just watch, you can do that too.
Mike the tour captain also played some music for us on his ukulele.
100% recommended if you want to see and swim with the fish.

Wow!!! ❤️ We had the best time riding around the lagoon and outside the lagoon to see sharks. We saw coral garden fishes(fed them banana), sting rays, and sharks. Best tour service on the island.

We went with Captain Mike.
He is exceptional! He sang to us.
He gave us a lot of information about sea life. He got into the water with us, so we felt very safe.
He was very funny. We laughed a lot.

Even though it ended up being a rainy day which made moving from spot to spot on the boat a bit cold and uncomfortable we still had a good time. Tao, our guide, sang, told us a lot about the history of the formation of the island, served food (including explaining best way to open and portion out a coconut) and made sure there were plenty of photo and memory worthy moments while snorkeling in each of the three stop locations. As a bonus he also knew how to make water rings which always makes for a cool picture.
We had times where there were dozens of fish as well as black tip sharks and manta rays all in close proximity. Tao made sure we understood what to expect before each stop so that we wouldn't get into a situation where we didn't accidentally get hurt by (or hurt) a ray or shark. This included the opportunity to hold a manta ray, which were far more friendly than I expected.
A couple of the locations were in shallow enough water to stand (bring/wear water socks) for those who were not confident swimmers. For those needing to borrow equipment, we used the fins they had on board and were some of the best ones on our trip (open back, easily adjustable).
If possible it is certainly worth bringing an underwater camera for - there were never any boring moments in the water. The locations selected to dive were in fairly protected places where even with winds the waves were minor. Just be aware that if the weather does not cooperate the tour boat is open sided - even with the provided towels you will get soaked and the combination of cold rain and fast boat travel had several people trying to huddle up to stay warm and out of the spray.

Tau was excellent. His beautiful singing and skillful ukulele playing was delightful. He has a wonderful spirit. The snorkeling (particularly the second stop) was phenomenal. The bluest blue!

This was our second snorkeling tour with Lagoon Services and we were SOOO lucky to have Arii as our guide BOTH times. What are the chances! Arii is super personable, funny, kind and knowledgeable about the island of Bora Bora.
He took us to snorkel in 3 amazing places. Snorkeling with the sharks, the sting rays and the gorgeous coral garden. Our memories after the first tour were so unforgettable that we knew we would have to do the same tour if we ever returned to Bora Bora. For our first time, we did the whole day tour with lunch (highly recommend). The second time we did a half day tour. Both are great but if you are going to Bora Bora for the first time, I would recommend doing the tour with lunch on a private motu.
Māuruuru Arii and Lagoon Services. I am hoping to make it a three-peat and come back to Bora Bora again one day soon. And when I do, you know we will be signing up for another tour with Lagoon Services!

We did the half day tour with Lagoon Service and our guide was Arii! He was amazing! Super knowledgeable, helpful, and made the trip it’s amazing! He told us the story of how the Polynesian people came from Indonesia and the history of his people and islands, it was amazing! We swam for a half hour through the coral gardens, then got to swim with stingrays! He told us about their biology, their temperament and held his favorite stingray Juliette! Then we got to also hold or pet her as well! We then went to swim with the sharks and spotted a pod of spinner dolphins that he took us to see as well! Then we jumped in with the sharks! It was amazing swimming with these majestic creatures! On the way back, Arii brought out a massive plate of coconut bread, coconut and fruits which were all delicious! On the way back we were the last drop off and he played ukulele on the way back! One of the best people I met on this trip! If you have a chance, take it and go with Arii and Lagoon Service, you won’t be disappointed!

The tour was amazing from the pickup to the drop off. Our tour guide Maui made it so fun and enjoyable. We saw so much and we will have a lifetime of memories. If you only do one thing in Bora Bora - do THIS!
