    North End Food and History Tour... I can't say enough good things about it! Paula is the tour guide... and this tour is PERSONAL to her. She takes you to some great spots at establishments that she has relationships with and shares a little insider gossip too! You try everything from pizza, pasta, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, pastries, cannoli, gelato AND wine! Highly recommend this tour!

    Paula gave a fantastic tour! We learned so much about the North End but even more about the roots of the neighborhood going back hundreds of years in Europe. This helped paint the picture of what makes the North End what it is today. The food was outstanding and the locations selected were terrific. She has so much knowledge and passion for the history, food and wine. It was money and time well spent.

    So enjoyed Paula’s intimate knowledge of the North end’s history and true Italian food choices. We learned a little about so many things. The food choices were varied and very delicious. Can’t stop talking about it, would highly recommend!!

    Paula’s tour was the highlight of our trip to Boston. Her passion for her neighborhood’s history, food, and culture makes for a top-notch experience. This was our first ever food tour and I’m afraid that Paula has set the bar so high that any other tours we take will be disappointing.

    Paula, of Off the Beaten Path Tours, packed a lot into her three hour tour. Historical tidbits and neighborhood culture and lore, delivered in Paula’s engaging style, made for a fabulous day for our family group! Then there’s the food!! Many stops for olive oil, cheese, pastries , pizza, pasta, wine, and more! We highly recommend this tour! Brava!

    This is one of the best tours that I have done. Paula showed us around the North End of Boston. She's a local so knows all the right places to visit. The hidden bakery, the wine tasting in a cellar, restaurants and deli's all with some history thrown in. I really recommend this tour.

    A friend and I arrived Saturday morning from HI and had just hours before our return to HI on Sunday. This tour educated us, fed us, and left us with great memories of our day in the North End. Paula knew this special place well. I could feel her love for the North End and for those who call it home. She has lived in the area for years and has been an active member of this thriving community. She shared history and fun to know facts that kept us engaged and entertained. The eateries, markets and wine cellars she chose were "real" community based businesses that gave us a true taste of Southern Italy. I would encourage everyone to take this walking tour when in the North End. Boston holds so much history on so many different levels and the North End is a great place to start. Learn, laugh, eat and sii sempre felice (be happy always).

    A must do tour! Paula will give you a cool history lesson and then take you to some hidden gems in Bostons north end. We really enjoyed this food tour and learned a lot about the history of the area.

    The passion the guide showed about the North End tour with the history and culture from Colonial times to the present. The stops for local food were memorable covering everything from bakery pastry to cannoli for desert . We enjoyed every minute of this extraordinary culinary experience The indoor sit down Lunch was special and delicious!

    If I could give more than 5 stars I would! This was an absolutely incredible experience. We had so much fun. Paula is lovely, so personable and her knowledge of the area and its history…as well as Italian and Art history is off the charts! The delicious Italian wine and the amount of amazing Italian food that is included here is astounding. I didn’t want the afternoon to end. We already plan on going back sometime in the near future! If you have the chance…go….you will not regret it!
