Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO delights!
Mary_S, Apr 2024
This walking food/history tour was a good value and a great way to experience two areas of Brooklyn. The tour was a good duration and booking was very easy. Our tour guide, Sam, was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and interesting. Sam clearly did his research and he had a great personality and ensured every member of the group was satisfied. I would definitely recommend to others.
A Must-Do Tour!
Rachel_R, Apr 2024
Eric was so knowledgeable and made the tour so much fun. We learned so much about the history of Brooklyn but also got to try awesome food. We were playing tourists in our own City and got to try essential New York staples and also New York staples with a twist. But it really wouldn't have been if we didn't have Eric as our guide. He really made the difference with curating the experience. He was so funny, personable, and knew so much about history and culture. Would definitely do another tour with him again!
Worth every penny

Sam wad an amazing guide and so knowledgeable about NYC and Brooklyn history. We had a wonderful time and wished the tour could have gone all day. Learned a lot, ate a lot…can’t recommend highly enough. Take this tour! Make sure you get Sam!
Amazing!! A must when in NYC!!
Rosie_G, Apr 2024
Our food tour was delicious and the info Alex shared with us was most historically informative! It made us appreciate both the culinary and historical traditions of this part of New York! WE LOVED IT!!! Thank you to Alex for answering all of our questions and sharing a wealth of knowledge. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Good if you are more interested in architectural history than food
Sharie_W, Apr 2024
Sam the guide is obviously very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. This was a very good architecture and history tour. It just kind of failed as a food tour. We covered a little too much walking distance just discussing architecture even walking to the middle of the Brooklyn bridge and back just discussing it's construction. Interesting but, again, not the FOOD tour we signed up for. Soo many great food options in a concentrated area that there was no reason for being that spread out. On other food tours we got to go inside the restaurant but on this one we had to huddle outside in 50 degree weather. It was just not great. There were four food stops. One of them was definitely cool, unique and something we would have otherwise never known about or tried. The others were just okay and pretty average.
Response from Host, Apr 2024
Thank you for taking the time to post your review. It's great to know Sam was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but disappointing to learn the experience failed as a food tour. We do try to be as transparent as we can with our itineraries and the idea of this tour is that its a walking tour which allows travellers to sample pizza, sweet pastries and national imports from local establishments, whilst exploring the rich history of the Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights Neighbourhoods and the stunning views and architecture of the bridge. We are sorry the tour was not as you had expected. We are always looking at ways to improve our customers experience and we would welcome the change to discuss this and any suggestions you may have that would better manage expectations for future travellers. Brooklyn food tour
Heather_S, Apr 2024
Despite rainy conditions, my family and I enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Alex, was knowledgeable and tailored the experience to what the group wanted and the weather allowed. The food at all five stops was delicious! This was my first trip to Brooklyn and a food tour was a great way to learn more about the area and sample food items from local small businesses.
Amazing tour

My husband and I were the only ones on the trip and had the pleasure of joining Alex’s tour. Alex was amazing and showed us areas of Brooklyn we hadn’t been to before as well as taking us to wonderful gems of restaurants. The food was delicious and the knowledge Alex shared with us whilst eating great food was impeccable. Recommend being really hungry when starting the tour.
Great history and food tour!

Two thumbs up!
Jennifer_I, Feb 2024
My friend & I had the BEST time exploring Brooklyn with Angelo! He was so engaging & patient with all the questions we had, while delivering so much history of this interesting burrough. I'm a film buff & seeing Moonstruck house was a particular delight. Angelo offered suggestions to maximize our day in Brooklyn, after our time with him expired, too.. Food yummy, never had a fried pickle as good, pace easily walkable, with pauses to explore local shops. My friend especially enjoyed the Wicked cocoa @ Jaques Torres. My 1st Viator experience, won't be the last. Thank you & thank you, Angelo!
A perfect tour

WOW!
Jenna_Q, Nov 2023
It's taken me months to get around to this (apologies!), but the tour was absolutely exceptional; our guide, Sam, went above and beyond the expected in showing us around Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO. Our group had preference for savoury foods, and he knew all the best spots, giving us background and history and pointing out interesting sights with loads of fun facts and interesting anecdotes along the way. He was enthusiastic, patient in answering questions, and it's clear that he loves the area and puts his all into his tours, smiling all the while. He knew the best photo opportunity spots, and offered his assistance to make sure that the moments were captured so nobody had to fiddle about trying to get good angles. Nothing was a problem to him the whole time. His positivity was infectious, the food was stand out and I left feeling full of knowledge and tasty treats. When the tour finished, he even made sure everyone knew how to get where they were going, walking people to the subway and the ferry and giving helpful advice. What a guy! For sure, I'd recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in the area and in good food (and I can guarantee if you get Sam showing you around, you're on to a winner!)
Very professional, very informative
