I went on this tour with my mom and husband and we all had a great time! Jesse was a fantastic tour guide and taught us a lot about Brooklyn. The food was also all excellent and we got to try a large variety of foods. Great for vegetarians as well. Highly recommend!
The best of all worlds - food, history, culture, and architecture.
Nancy_P, Mar 2024
Mickey was a great tour guide who really helped us learn about the history, culture, and architecture of Brooklyn. She's a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. It was fun to learn about some of the restaurants, bakeries, and other foodie spots that give Brooklyn its personality - make sure to not eat much before the tour as you will definitely eat along the way. It was a great first visit to Brooklyn.

A History, Gastronomy, 'n Colloquey of Breuckelen
Stanford_G, Mar 2024
Alex Papas's knowledge of NYC history as related to "mom 'n pop" enterprises and their struggles to survive. We signed on to be in a group tour that transformed into a private tour that became an exceptional running conversation with Alex!
Great food tour!

James was a great guide! We enjoyed learning about Brooklyn history in addition to all the delicious food.
Request Angelo!
Junko_B, Mar 2024
Great facts learned from Angelo. Very knowledgeable tour guide. He would take detours to take us to places with hidden history. Loved the Brooklyn Bridge and NY skyline art on the sidewalk, would’ve never known about it if he hadn’t pointed it out.
Excellent tour

Food tour of Brooklyn
Nicolas_D, Mar 2024
Our tour guide Brian was fantastic!! Knew the area, the locals and all the establishments that we went to on a personal basis, which shows how well he knew the area food and importantly the best places to visit on this tour! Highly recommend this tour and if possible ask for Brian!
Very enjoyable food tour
Jeffery_A, Mar 2024
Our tour guide Brian was very personable, knowledgeable, knew the business owners and able to engage them in conversation to give a history of the business, and we sampled great cookies, bread, pizza, spinach pie, smoked salmon bagels, chocolates. Also a good review of the neighborhood history and architecture.
We loved our tour. Angelo...

We loved our tour. Angelo gave us so much Brooklyn history and the food was amazing. He also helped us with other New York tips. Would highly recommend.
Jessie was a rockstar guide
Nicole_P, Feb 2024
We had our tour with Jesse who was an excellent guide. She was kind, energetic, and very knowledgeable! You can really tell she knew a lot about her community - I loved her little fun facts of the different residents of the streets we walked on. I truly thought that made the tour even more memorable apart from the delicious food! I love the variation of food we tried - sweet, savory, middle eastern, Italian etc. The best for me was meeting the chocolatier at the end who gave us an emotional story about the yahoo poster in the shop. Needless to say we truly got an essence of what Brooklyn is all about. Would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see what locals do or just anyone who is genuinely curious about the sections of Brooklyn we visited.
A Local Telling You About His Neighborhood - FANTASTIC!!!
David_B, Feb 2024
If you want a "local's" view of food, history and culture in Brooklyn, I highly recommend taking this tour. Brian is not a tour guide. He's a local who is taking you on a tour of "his" neighborhood and introducing you to "his" friends (the owners of the stores). Very informative, excellent pace and discussion. Had a great time.
Yes!

Brian was great! Very engaging with all of us too! The food was delicious and his stories of the area informative.
Entertaining, interesting and delicious tour of Brooklyn
Sandra_W, Feb 2024
An interesting and entertaining tour with Brian. You could tell that his heart beats for Brooklyn. We visited many small, family-run shops that would probably have been overlooked otherwise. Everywhere there was a tasty snack to try and the owners sometimes had time to talk to us. We had a lot of fun on the tour and learned a lot about Brooklyn, especially Cobble Hill. Brian also provided us with restaurant tips for our further trip. Thank you, Brian.
Amazing Tour! Incredible Experience!
Tom_M, Feb 2024
This was an experience that we will always remember! If you want to feel like a local, our tour guide, Angelo, will give you that experience. We met Angelo at the address provided and we immediately felt welcomed. We had a private tour. Angelo was extremely engaging and gave us detailed history of the area. We loved stopping in to the local businesses and speaking with the business owners. We learned about their history in the area. A big thank you to Angelo for this amazing tour! Angelo was very knowledgeable! We also made a stop at Trader Joes! It was well worth it! Highly recommend this tour when you are in New York!
Great combo of Brooklyn history & interesting bites!
Paula_J, Jan 2024
Good combo of history and eating - great pace and interesting selection. Angelo was both very conscientious to the group and knowledgeable about Brooklyn. A great way to spend the afternoon in NYC and you will not go hungry!
Best of Tours
Joel_R, Jan 2024
This tour of Brooklyn was, without a doubt, the most enjoyable outing of our recent trip to New York City. The tour guide, Angelo, was the reason. From the get-go, he set the stage for an experience that was a pleasure to take part in. We were indeed fortunate to be part of a small tour group (six plus Angelo.). The histories of the areas and places we visited during the tour were fascinating, and the foods we sampled were varied and delicious. Even a brief, cold, unexpected change in weather conditions couldn't dampen our enjoyment. But the main difference in this and other tours we have taken was our guide. Angelo went out of his way to make sure we all had a great time, and came away with full tummies and enlightened minds.
