Nice tour and informative about the history of the country and the historical sights. This day tour gave us an understanding of many lesser known facts about the country. Good for if you do not have much time and want to hit the highlights.

Our friendly guide Dori was very knowledgeable, gave us lots of information. Saw the highlights of Buda and Pest. Very enjoyable 3 hours in Budapest. Meeting point/ guide was easy to find, mini van was very comfortable.

Amazing sites throughout Budapest- a magical city, full of history. The tour guide Yolanda was adequate at best and more interested in upselling the current tour and selling future tours. Maybe Eurama instructed her to do so. She was switching between English and Spanish, but spent more time with a Spanish Couple than conducting the tour overall. Knowing what we know now, better to taxi around the city or take the very extensive transportation system in the city. The benefit will be greater.

Half-Day Sightseeing Tour Showing Some Budapest City Sites

The tour guide lady was friendly and considerate. She managed to ask a couple to swap seat with my 89-year-old mum, who prefers to sit on the second row to avoid car travel sickness (we need to thank that kind Indian couple, too). We missed a lot of tour commentaries while in the tour van, because the tour guide, who spoke both English and Spanish, 1) had to swap between the two languages, 2) her English wasn't that clear and 3) she didn't use a loud speaker while we were in the van with the background noise. During this 3-hour tour, we only had 15 minutes free time at the Heroes' Square, 30 minutes at Matthias Church & Fisherman's Bastion, and 30 minutes at St Stephen's Basilica, which was somehow included instead of Gellert Hill. We didn't hear or know much about the three pass-by sites.

I can recommend this half day tour. I was pressed on time so I could only take a short tour. The guide was knowlegable and approachable.

Very light excursion

We spent about 2.5 hours on the bus and walking around. However, the excursion itself while the guide was talking is no more than 20 minutes. Additionally, they put 2 groups English and Spanish speakers on the same bus, so we were listening on both languages which was a little annoying.

Hard to understand, couldn’t see as much as promised.

Very poor tour guide who was hard to understand given her speaking very broken English. Also, very limited information shared between stops. Hard to hear your guide outside over background noise. Parked far from two stops. One was a long, uphill walk which was very difficult for senior citizens or anyone with knee problems. Some of the ‘pass-bys’ were a block way, or we couldn’t see as the bus passed it too fast or the Guide didn’t point out where it was when we passed it.

It was rushed. Hardly 10 minutes were given at the lake Zürich while we spent walking into town and looking at a church. it was also rushed on top of the hill, overlooking Zürich, where we didn’t get time to sit and enjoy the view or order from the café

Tour was very informative, but on a very hot day the air conditioning in the van didn’t work very well. Learned a lot of history about Budapest. So it was a good start to a few days here.

This tour was a great value. Our tour included a German family of 4 and my husband and I. The guide was fluent in both languages and took us to alot of great sites. It was nice to be in an air conditioned van as well.

Not worth it

We were really disappointed with this tour. The lady’s Spanish was not very clear and she basically repeated a script without much more while we drove around the city. We did come out of van for a couple of times but there whole experience was not really what we expected for the price. So much so that no one in the tour finish it and we went on our own before the last stop.

Shame that a very average guide spoiled this experience. We know that it could’ve been done much better.

Not a happy experience. I clearly booked English tour. When we started tour, guide Jolanda told us that it was English/German tour. There were 4 German speaking people (all speaking very well English, I spoke in English with 3 of those 4 people) and more than a dozen English speaking people. Jolanda is much more proficient in German than in English and spent much more time talking in German. 8 years ago my wife and I had the same tour, this time we went with our daughter hoping to have the same experience. It was like comparing choke and cheese. 8 years ago, guide was exceptional, spent so much time explaining everything about the points we passed, at the locations we stopped he spoke with a great knowledge and passion about them. It was completely opposite with Jolanda. It looked as she was just waiting to take us to the souvenir shop next to the St Stephen basilica, when we spent a half hour of the three hours tour. 8 years ago, there was no stoppages at the souvenir shops, entire time was spent on locations stated in the itinerary. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone this tour. It was not worth a cent of our money.

The tour was extremely rushed. The group had a wide variety of attendees, from toddlers to elderly people. Though this configuration makes things challenging for the tour guide, but he/she is expected to know better. Our tour guide was walking way too fast. Started talking before everyone assembled. Made the group stand in sun while shade was available 5 feet away. And, did not care about acoustics, nearby noise and if everyone could hear her or not. It appeared she just wanted the job to be done and be over with it.
