  • We can NOT guarantee whale sharks sightings and swimming since they're in their natural habitat. In the unfortunate situation that we don't find whale sharks, this will not be cause of refund.
  • We recommend to bring: Swimsuit. Sunglasses, hat or cap. Biodegradable sunscreen. Long sleeved t-shirt. Take Motion sickness/dizziness relief at least 1 hour before. Dry clothes. Cash for personal expenses and souvenirs.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

  • For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

BIG MISTAKE TO BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY

DON'T EVEN THINK TO BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. My daughters dream was to swim with the Whale Sharks. We did this with this company and were assured there would NOT be a problem for us to get our pictures. I spend thousands of hard earned dollars to get my daughters to Cancun for this special dream of theirs to "Swim with the Whale Sharks." It has now been a month, I have given this company EVERY chance possible to provide me with the pictures of the Whale Shark swim of my daughters and me and they have failed to do so. I have had to call (spoke to a man), emailed numerous times and I they ALL assured me "Not to Worry," I will get my pictures, but I still have not received the pictures. This is the ONLY memory my daughters will have for the rest of their lives of their dream to swim with the Whale Sharks. This company has chosen NOT to provide the pictures, they promised which we agreed I would pay for them as soon as I got them; still NOTHING. it is clear they don't care about your customers and the memories of pictures people want and have come thousands of miles to have; to give the families that book with them the memories they deserve. They ASSURED me, "Not to Worry" I would get my pictures, we agreed I would pay for them after I got my pictures, still NO PICTURES. Their promises are worthless. I'm sorry I ever booked this trip through Viator, as this company has proven to be a company that does not keep their word and it is clear they care about their customers after they get your money for your excursion with them. I am beyond sad, as now my daughters and I will never have the pictures of their "Swim with the Whale Sharks." I am so sorry I ever booked this ever chose this trip with this company as they are not reputable.

The whale shark excursion was great. The guide stayed with you the whole time and the boat captain maneuvered the boat so getting out of the water was easy.

This was an awesome experience. I would say that if you only do one excursion while in Cancun, this is the one to do. All of the guides were awesome. The marine life was plentiful.
eigentlich zwei Trips, sehr gute Organisation vor Ort und mit Herztblut

Zuerst mal, es waren zwei touren, die zusammengepackt wurden und perfekt von den Leuten vor Ort organisiert wurden. Der Pickup im Hotel war auf die Sekunde pünktlich, der Guide der ersten Tour (Schnorcheln mit Schildkröten) spanisch und englischsprachig, die Einführung und Erklärung wirklich gut. Die Tour war schnell und erfolgreich, wir haben jede Menge gehen, auch Schildkröten, der Guide war unterhaltsam und übergab uns dann ziemlich punktgenau an die nächste Tour, die uns direkt dort abholte. Eisgekühlte Getränke an Bord, ein Kapitän, der erfahren und echt gut war, er positionierte die Schnorcheln perfekt zu den Walhaien und zog dann langsam einen Kreis, um den Walhai so lang wie möglich in der Nähe zu behalten. Es gab für jeden drei Tauchgänge und mindestens 2 davon waren so, dass man den Walhai fast hätte berühren können ( sollte man nicht). Es waren jeweils zwei Guests und ein Begleitschwimmer der Crew, der notfalls assistierte und das kommendo zum Zurück zum Schiff gab, meist, weil der Walhai langsam, aber immer noch zu schnell für Flossenschwimmer weitergeschwommen war).Es ist keine Private Tour, es waren ca. 30 Boote vor Ort, allerdings auch mindestens 40 Walhaie. Danach waren alle ausgepowert und interessant vielleicht: ab 14.00 müssen alle Boote die Walhaie in Ruhe lassen, da achtet auch Polizei akribisch drauf, Wenigstens etwas Schutz für die Tiere. Danach ging es nach Isla Mujeres zu einem Super Mittagessen, selbst gemacht an Bord, das flache Wasser war voll ankernder Boote , der Strand ist eben berühmt und die Bässe wummerten. Wer mag?Das Wasser war allerdings klar und türkis, ein Traum. Warum dann nur 4 Sterne? Die Beschreibung im Internet ist einfach falsch, es ist keine eine Tour, es passt aufgrund der tollen Organisation der Leute vor Ort zusammen, es gab kein Frühstück, (nur einen Müsliriegel und schwarzen Kaffee, oder einen Saft), wie beschrieben, unendlich Zeit gab es auch nicht beim Tauchen - wie auch? Eine Umkleidekabine an Bord gab es - für den Tauchbegleiter, eine toilette jedoch nicht! Das müßte überarbeitet werden, die beiden Touren vor Ort waren jedoch toll und mit Herzblut organisiert, es lohnt sich definitiv.
