Pickup details

We will pick you up on Monday morning at the location of your choice in Cape Town central (central business district, Camps Bay, Sea Point, Green Point, Observatory, Rondebosch), or at Cape Town International Airport. Please let us know your pickup address. If you are staying outside of our above pickup range, we ask that you meet up with the tour bus on Monday morning as follows: • Pickup at Bootlegger Coffee Company, 185 Bree St, Cape Town City Centre (closest meeting point for Bloubergstrand or Milnerton) • Pickup at Vida e Café, 41 Main Rd, Rondebosch (closest meeting point for Hout Bay, Muizenberg or Constantia) • Pickup at Woolworths Waterstone Village, Corner of R 44 &, Main Road, Somerset West (closest meeting point for Stellenbosch) Pick up time is generally between 6:00 – 7:30 am in Cape Town and around 8:00 am in Somerset West. We will confirm the specific time and address of your pickup, as well as your guide’s details the weekend before your tour departs.

Well worth the money!

We did this trip as a couple staying in backpacker 'dorm' rooms. Accomodation - The definition of dorm rooms was definitely underselling this! Out of 5 nights, only 2 were your standard backpacker dorms with strangers (both acceptable backpackers) - the other 3 nights were rooms with only those on the trip who also selected the dorm option and all had a unique feel to them. They were by all accounts far beyond our expectations. The guest houses that some of the others stayed in looked lovely, but it's worth noting they were usually 5/10 mins down the road so it may be difficult to be social in the evenings if you stay in a guest house. The trip itself - The trip varied slightly from what is listed but broadly covered the same activities in a different order. There's loads to do every day and plenty of time to relax in the evenings as well. Food at each stop was tasty and filling and our guide, Roy, was absolutely brilliant. Overall, highly recommend this trip down the garden route!

Well organized and complete trip along the Garden Route

Great tour along the Garden Route which we filled with memorable experiences from kayaking, bungee jump, tasting delicious south african meals and of course the Safari in Addo (which was my personal highlight). The whole trip was super well organized and even thought the days were packed with activities, we still had some time in between to enjoy the beautiful beaches along the coast. A big thanks to our amazing tour guide Gareth for many laughs along the road and a great job in sharing his own personal experience and knowledge of South Africa. Would definitly recommend this trip to everyone that is doing the Garden Route for the first time and to get as many impressions as possible in quite a short time.

Wendy was our tour guide and she made the experience extra special. I loved and enjoyed listening to the doses of the history of each place and we sure learnt so much about South Africa. It made me appreciate the places we visited. The magnificent views, the amazing locations and awesome activities were all my highlights. I would highly recommend the tour to both local and international travellers. If you can, I would also recommend that you take part in the optional activities on offer. Overall, it is a Well packaged tour.

This comprehensive tour covered an amazing amount in six days including ancient caves, safaris in wildlife parks, canoeing along a river through wonderful scenery, and coastal walks among much else. Our Guide Ferne was brilliant. She managed the tour and the 12 people on it who were aged from mid 20s to mid 60s and who all got on very well very efficiently, provided a wealth of information about the Country and the places we visited, drove the great distances involved very smoothly, and was a pleasure to meet and get to know. I have no hesitation in recommending this tour as a wonderful way to explore the Western and Eastern Cape.

Incredible tour of amazing landscapes and flora and fauna. Super excellent guide. Lovely fellow travelers, incredible price. Nice lodgings and food too. What more could you ask for? I couldn't recommend it more, and this was my first group tour and I was nervous about being stuck in a van with strangers for 6 days, but this was definitely a valuable, worthwhile, highly memorable trip. Each day has activities that are really nice, with optional trip activities you can buy. I added the whale watching which was excellent!

Great group to travel with and a great tour guide, Charlene. Sometimes I prefer chilling out a bit more but this is a whiz bang tour to see and do as much in 6 days as possible. Well organized and it covers a lot of beautiful South Africa in a relatively short time.

Wir haben unsere Tour sehr genossen und sie ist eine gute Option Südafrika zum ersten Mal zu erleben! Sie zeigt einem einige der Juwelen der südafrikanischen Küste und lässt einen wirklich in Kontakt mit der Natur, der Tierwelt, den Menschen und der lokalen Küche kommen. Unser Guide gab uns gute Einblicke und hielt die Stimmung immer hoch, auch wenn wir mal Pech mit dem Wetter hatten. Wir mochten jede Aktivität aber unsere persönlichen Highlights waren der Addo Elephant Park und die Bloukrans Bungee Bridge. Wir können diese Tour jedem empfehlen der aufgeschlossen ist, andere Kulturen kennenlernen möchte und sich nicht selbst um die Planung kümmern möchte. Das Earthstompers Team sorgt dafür, dass man eine schöne Unterkunft bekommt und dass sich um alles gekümmert wird. Wir haben uns auch innerhalb unserer Gruppe sehr gut verstanden und einige haben sogar neue Freunde gefunden. Man muss es selbst erleben ! :)
