あまり団体行動が得意ではないのと一人旅だったのとで、プライベートツアーにしました。私ともう一人、USAから一人できている女性と、そしてドライバー兼ガイドのレミさんと三人で一日、たくさんのスポットを回りました。 スケジュールに記載されていない通り道のスポットもたくさん立ち寄ってもらえましたし、眺めのいいところでは車を停めてくれたりもしました。トイレ休憩や食事なども自分たちのペースでストレスがありませんでした。 またこれだけのスポットを一人ではとうてい回れないですが、団体ならもう少し時間がかかったと思います。ペンギンコロニーの入場口はとても混んで列ができていたのを、「話をつけたからも、二人は先に入ってみておいて。列には私だけが並んだらいいから」と現地ガイドならではの柔軟性で対応もしてくれました。 レミさんは運転中もずっとガイドを続けてくれました。何より、喜望峰でUSA女性の帽子が風に飛ばされたのを、物凄い勢いで追いかけて取り戻してもくれました。すごいガイドです！ 若干、団体ツアーよりは高いけど、結果的にコストパフォーマンスがとても高い旅になりました。
