Guide was excellent. Great knowledge. We enjoyed everything except the Penguin tour which was a rip off.
Excellent guide!
kikhan, Nov 2019
Given that this was a private tour, we had the flexibility to spend as much time (or as little time) as we wanted at each location. The penguins at Boulders Beach and other wildlife sightings (e.g. eland and ostrich family near Cape of Good Hope) were the highlights of the tour. Of course, the views at Cape Point were absolutely spectacular; but then this is Cape Town, and spectacular views abound everywhere you look. Uriel, a native Capetonian, is a fantastic guide. It felt as though we were with a friend who was showing us around his beautiful hometown.

Thanks for trusting us with your holiday. Happy to hear it was a 5-star day tailored exactly to your needs. We have passed on your review to your local guide, Uriel too. Wishing you many happy years of travel ahead. Keep'on adventuring - from Ferdi & team Hotspots2c
Excellent private tour experience!

We booked this tour as our first full day in Cape Town and couldn't have been more satisfied. Our tour guide, Liezel, picked us up right from our Airbnb right at the scheduled time. It was me, my husband, and our 1.5 year old son. She was very patient with us throughout the day as the baby controlled a little of what we did. She pointed out interesting sites and facts as we departed Cape Town. Our first stop was the optional boat cruise to seal island. Liezel wasted no time jumping in to help with our son, playing with him and holding him while we got cash from the ATM. After the tour, we had a sit down breakfast and she ran around and played with him to allow us a few minutes to eat. If you have a young child, you know how VALUABLE that is. She even got him a toy rubber ball from a nearby machine... which he proceeded to play with the entire rest of the day. After breakfast, we continued our journey. Along the way we saw baboons along the road and she stopped to allow us to take photos and take in their cute behaviors. We made a quick stop for snacks at a cute farm house which was delightful. We continued to Cape Point. Upon arrival our son had fallen asleep, and Liezel generously offered to stay in the bus with him while we took the funicular up the point. He woke up shortly after and she ran him right up to us in the nik of time! The point was absolutely stunning and the funicular was well worth the extra ZAR. We then took a short drive down to Cape of Good Hope for the famous photo in front of the sign signifying the most SW tip of the African continent. Next stop was the penguins, and Liezel escorted us through the boardwalk. When we found a cute restaurant with a great balcony that we wanted to stop and grab a drink at, she offered to bring the bus around so we didn't have to walk back. Seeing the penguins was a highlight of the day, especially seeing our son react to them. The entire coast and drive was absolutely stunning. Liezel was a very safe driver and made sure we kept on schedule but flexible enough to not feel rushed at all. Throughout the day we had excellent conversation and learned a lot about the culture. We had an absolutely wonderful time on this day trip and can't speak enough praises for Liezel. We had an important errand to run at the end of the day, and she offered to drop one of us off so we could make it in time, and then returned me and the baby right back to our apartment. She even helped us get baby back to our door. A+++

Thanks for much for this exceptional 5star review. Liezel is a special human indeed! We love all our guides and our selection and training process are very thorough to ensure we only get the best of the best to help guests to explore our beautiful country. Families with small children can always do with more freedom, privacy and flexibility on any road trip, ensuring you don't get held back by the exact timelines of a standard group tour. Our private tours offer exactly that = freedom and peace-of-mind. We made sure to get your message to Liezel, the superguide too. She loved the day with you and hope to see you again when you come back to see more of South Africa. Thanks again for taking the time to leave this review and recommending our trips. Always keep'on adventuring, from Ferdi & team Hotspots2c

We had the most incredible time on this tour. We were picked up at our private residence right on time. Kevin was so knowledgeable about the area and knew the best places to eat. Even recommended a breakfast place for the next day after our hike up Lion's Head. If you have the chance to request a tour guide, ask for Kevin!!
