What To Expect

Meet your teammates and host at the start line in Cozumel. Receive your first clue then propel yourself into the sights and spirit of the cultural competition and sightseeing scavenger hunt.

Employ your logic to solve your initial clue and progress to a splendid sightseeing location every time you crack a code or decipher a riddle. Ensure victory over other competitors by solving each clue quickly to make it across the finish line first. Race against time and absorb the fascinating history and culture of the island.

Conclude the chivalrous challenge at an ambient local restaurant and immerse yourself in the fun of the post-race awards ceremony. Receive prizes if you emerged supreme and purchase a discounted lunch and drinks (own expense) as you reminisce about the fun you had with other players. Make your own way back to your Cozumel hotel.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

A different but totally awesome excursion!

We absolutely loved this excursion! We had so much fun racing around cozumel together and saw so many different parts of the city that we would have never otherwise seen. My kids are huge fans of the show and this was such a great time for the whole family. My only complaint is that we arrived at the starting time and had to wait for more than 30 minutes to start because they were waiting for a bunch of people from a cruise ship to arrive. But other than that, it was one of our favorite excursions ever. The hosts were so fun and added to the experience and we loved the variety of challenges and places tonviist. We would recommend to anyone and would love to do this again in another city!

This was the highlight of my shore excursions. As fans of a similar television series, we enjoyed the several challenges placed before us. None were particularly difficult or annoying as those challenges can be, and the race allows you to take in the entirety of central Cozumel. They have worked out arrangements with local vendors, so I got a taste of local culture while racing. Despite my competitive nature, we finished next to last, but had fun throughout.

Our tickets said 9:30 am. It was difficult to find, so we decided not to stress ourselves and just not try to meet up with the guide. At 11:50, a guide from Viator called looking for us and said our race was at 11:30, not 9:30. Another aggravating moment. Viator should have had a representative at the cruise port with better instructions.

Amazing Excursion - HIGHLY recommend

We did Amazing Race St Martin and this one in Cozumel was equally as exceptional. Our family loves this excursion. Great for pre-teens, teenagers, and adults. Everyone had so much fun. Excellent way to see downtown (don’t forget to look up while you’re running from clue to clue). The staff were amazing!!!!! If you like puzzles (required) and running (not required) you will love this excursion. This is among our favorite excursions. We would without reservation highly recommend this to everyone. Thank you team Cozumel for contributing to some incredible family memories that we will never forget.

Amazing Race, Amazing Excursion

So much better then wandering through touristy kiosks in the shadow of the Cruise Ship. Puzzles were challenging and the race was fun. We got to see Cozumel in a different way and even trekked back to a local restaurant we discovered off the beaten path near the starting line. Terrific guides who put a lot of effort into the game and followed us and took about 150 great pictures for us. Would recommend!

What a spectacular time!!! We did this as an excursion off our cruise ship when porting in Cozumel, and we highly recommend it! If you are competitive and like challenges, this is for you! In addition to being big fun, you get to see the downtown area of Cozumel like no other. We feel like we know our way around the area now! The organizers Patti, Martin, and Ada were excellent! They keep you on track and on time. After completion, we had food and adult beverages, and an awards ceremony!! Fun for all!!

This is our first time to Cozumel and we had a blast. Our tour hosts, Patty and Martin were awesome and made us feel at ease. We grabbed a taxi and met at the designated area. The area where we started the race is a little hard to find and is not in a super touristy part of the downtown. Show up on time, because if you get there early there is nothing to do and there's not really anywhere to shop there. Patty and Martin explained exactly how the race would work, where we would need to go and they even give you a phone in case you get lost. However, this is just an added bonus because the entire area isn't super big and its fairly straightforward. Overall the race was super fun, we got to go to all kinds of different shops and the clues are super creative and interesting. My favorite part was getting to snorkel as a means to find a clue. The whole thing took a about 3-4 hours, we were back in plenty of time to get on the cruise boat. At the end they had a reward ceremony to you can get food at a the restaurant where the last clue is. The food is great! Again, super creative stuff and a lot of fun. My wife and I enjoyed this much more that shopping or just going on the typical excursion. Thanks amazing Cozumel race!!

We have cruised 8 different times to many different locations, and this excursion is by far and away the best we have had. As avid Amazing Race fans this local race was everything we thought it would be, and my wife and I came in second because of a blunder on our part. From start to finish well organized and very funny. You certainly get a workout if you are trying to be competitive. Good luck to all future racers!!!
