Glide around the undeveloped eastern side of Cozumel on a half-day electric bike tour led by a knowledgeable guide. You'll ride on bike paths that run along 12 miles (19km) of the coast, which is lined with volcanic rock formations, white-sand beaches, and marine life. We are located in front of the Palmar Condominiums right next to the Eagle Rider Motorcycle Rental, just a few blocks north from the Grand Park Royal Resort. If you are traveling on a cruise and you are docking at the Punta Langosta Port, take a taxi south. Expected driving time: 5-7 mins.

Pedro our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area along with being very friendly and easy to ask questions. It was our first experience riding electric bikes and he was patient and helpful offered great advice. The lunch was extremely good and we would highly recommend this tour for anyone. It was a great way to see the island without all the noise of other tours and if you saw something interesting you could stop and take pictures without feeling like you were delaying anyone else. Well worth the small tour fee!

Great ride with a view

This was the second time we have done this tour. It’s a great way to ride on uncrowded roads with some amazing ocean views and visit a few places on the East side. Johny was great with taking care of the bikes and showing us the sights. Will definitely try another tour or rent some bikes here when we return.

The East side beach bike riding with Milton was the best excursion my wife and I have ever done! And we’ve been on over 30 cruises and done over 100 excursions. It was just gorgeous, scenic, beautiful, fun bike riding on great bikes. I wanted a nice workout and got it … and my wife just wanted to cruise and she could do that on the electric bike.

Our guide was Milton. He made our trip so enjoyable! He was kind positive, helpful, considerate. He showed us how to use the bikes, which we had never done before, and made it very safe and easy for us. We had a great paced trip up and back enjoying the outstanding scenery. Good lunch and a bit of shopping at the turn around point. Highly recommend this tour!

Fun trip

Good trip overall. Bikes worked well but poor to zero information from guide. They factor in a stop for souvenirs en route to restaurant so when we declined the stop the trip fell way short of expected time. Couldn’t believe we were at destination . Asked to ride back again rather than the guides plan to get truck and have us go back in that. He agreed. Unfortunately his bike lost power on way back so had that to deal with! Otherwise a nice quiet bike ride on a designated bike path. Wish there was more information given by guide. Bikes were easy to ride. My first time on electric bike and was a positive one!

We LOVED this tour. We booked this the day our cruise was in port and had no trouble catching a cab to the bike shop. The electric bikes were awesome and so easy to learn to use. The bike trail along the coast was beautiful and we had a wonderful experience. Our tour guide was very friendly.

Another awesome Viator excursion! Loved the smaller group with our guide, Melton! We had six in our group for the bike ride. Loved the east side of Cozumel. The ride was breath taking with the views. Lunch was great with our group. Our guide was knowledgable in the history and shared a lot of info with us. Just great weather, an amazing time and would love to go again when we cruise back to Cozumel. Well taken care of and watched over to make sure we didn't stray too far. ;)

Horrible. Got up early. Took a cab into town only for the tour guide to tell us the tour was cancelled due to not enough people. Expecting a full refund.

Customers are notified up to 2 days in advance if the tour will be canceled due to this reason. If we fail to inform the customer by this timeframe, we will gladly proceed to operate the tour regardless of the number of participants". In this case, since you booked at 3 AM the same day, we were not able to see this on time to inform you since we open our store at 8 AM. We reached out to your several times to inform you of the cancellation, however, we did not receive a response from you. Good handling when things go wrong

OK, so my half-day tour didn't go real well - but the handling of the situations by the staff was quite good. So to start with, they have some great bikes now - loved the fat tire Pedego bike I got. The check-in was quick and easy and the staff was friendly with great English skills. We were informed of a delay due to a late ship arrival but there was comfortable seating to wait. They helped hook me up to their internet but it didn't seem to actually be working that morning. Once we had everyone there, we had a large mini-van taxi with plenty of room that took us to the starting point where the bikes were already staged along with the truck & trailer that would shadow us on the ride. Here we ran into our second problem - 4 of our group weren't happy with the types of bikes. This caused some further delays but they figured out a way to get some of us going, transport a couple people to the food stop and go get new bikes to keep everyone happy. During the morning ride, the path was great but the weather was marginal with a lot of wind and rain (not much to do about that, of course). The food and service at the beach club was good. We had 2 small accidents/wipe outs where people were banged up. The guide had good first aid available and took care of the 3 people with cuts and scrapes. Of course, each of these added further delays. One person didn't feel good after the last incident and so a few of us jumped into the truck while the remainder of the group finished the ride. At the ending spot (Punta Sur), there's no cell coverage which makes things a little tricky. I wanted to grab my own cab back since I was running a little late - the guide tried hard to find one but none were available. The main minivan taxi "was coming" but we couldn't tell when and it wasn't getting there real quickly. Eventually, the manager offered to drive those of us with tight schedules back in the truck. When we got to the office, the staff had been informed to clear all our deposits so we could quickly move on with the day. Finally, as I was walking quickly back to my nearby hotel, a staff person showed up on a 2 person electric bike and offered me a ride to shave off another 5 minutes. So despite a challenging biking day, I'm calling this 4 out of 5 because of how the staff handled a number of difficult situations. As far as possible improvements for the future, I'd suggest asking what special type of bike you might require.

We had a great time on this tour! Carlos was very knowledgeable of the area. The views were fabulous and it was an easy ride with the motorized bicycle. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Beach Bum bikes was within walking distance of the port.

We had a great trip. The e-bikes were easy to use. They allow you to pedal or let the bike do the work. We rode along a beautiful shoreline on a designated bike lane. Fernando talked about the island, the beaches and the protected areas of the island. Our lunch stop was at a restaurant under a giant palapa looking at the water. The meal was good and we were not rushed. I highly recommend his excursion if you want some exercise and to see some beautiful sights away from the crowds.

This tour was excellent. Fernando is a great guide native to Cozumel. The sights were spectacular. Information about Cozumel and the landscape were from his own experience growing up. The Electric bicycles were very easy to use and made the tour easy without the effort to pedal. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to explore the natural habitat on the east side of Cozumel.

It was a little hard to find the Bike shop. We had to take a cab from our pier to the shop. People at the shop and Fernando our tour director were very nice. The bikes were fun and the scenery was great. We felt very safe since a truck that had brought us to the road followed in a parallel road in case there were any problems. There were several stops with walks to the shore line and to roadside stores that were interesting. Fernando even tried to teach us a little Spanish. We were glad we took this trip!

This was a nice ride along the water. This was our 1st time using an electric bike, they are a little different. Not hard to use. Makes going a distance a lot easier. A little different for pedaling, but you can rely on the electric to ride smoothly. We stopped at beautiful spots, had tequila samples and a nice local lunch. Gabriel was a great guide. Highly recommended if you want to do something different.

Beautiful scenery and fun bikes. They were several issues with this new tour though: We were 5 adults transported to the tour site in a car that seated 4 adults. When we arrived at the tour site we were not clearly told where we were stopping for the included lunch, so we did not get the lunch but were taken to another beach restaurant where we were told to sit and given a menu, after lunch we were handed the bill for the lunch. When we asked the tour guide why did we have to pay, he said in broken English that the included lunch was at the very start of the tour before we got on the bikes. It was 10:30am! The tour guides need to be very clear regarding where and when the included lunch takes place, also the batteries on the bikes had to be changed several times during the ride. I would have fully charged bikes to start and maybe swap them out once during trip , one for every bike. Then if 5 adults book this trip they need to have a vehicle large enough to transport everyone comfortably. With these changes this can be an awesome tour!!!!

Dont miss this! Highlight of my stay in Cozumel. Beautiful scenery, friendly and knowledgeable guides and fantastic lunch on a cliff overlooking the sea. Batteries never wore down and we barely peddled at all. I would do it again !
