The meeting point is in the Mercado Municipal Benito Juarez, where the big grouping of seats and tables are, right in the middle of the locations that sell cooked food. You will see the "Eating area" as your coming down the street of Aldolfo Rosado Salas between streets 20 Av. Sur and 25 Av. Sur.

Tania did a wonderful job of including us in the shopping and prepping of our meal, as well as checking for allergies and preferences. Everything was delicious and we were extremely well fed by the end. What a perfect opportunity to experience something different on our trip!

Tania made us numerous dishes that are simple to follow and make ourselves. She engaged each of us to assist numerous times. She met us at the Mercado where she took us through and explained what everything is. We had a great time. I definitely recommend mango margaritas.

A great time with our large family! The shopping, explanations, showing us how to make each item was fantastic. On top of learning the hows and whys of everything, the food was incredible and we are so happy to have the recipes to recreate them at our own homes. Thank you, thank you!

Yummy traditional Yucatán food,excellent guide (Tania)

Really good food made in a private home by Tania (we helped). Yucatán specialties made a little differently than I am used to. We went shopping at the Mercado municipal and used those fresh ingredients to make pico de gallo, guacamole, fried squash, grilled chicken, mango margaritas, etc. she also drove us back to the ship, which wasn’t in the contract

Tanya was amazing and took us through the market explaining different types of local fruits and veggies that we would use for our meal. You get to pick chicken or fish and some sides as well. She shared all of the recipes with us and is very talented! Best food we ate the entire trip.

Love market and shopping…fresh margaritas were awesome. Cooking good too, but not to much hands on because of such a large group. Would limit to 4 or 6 max.

This entire experience was incredible from start to finish. Experiencing the market and learning about the different goods along with the cooking and eating. Tania brought us home afterward which saved us a taxi fare too. I’m so thankful to have the recipes and am excited to try them at home!

Today was splendid! So many memorable parts. We especially loved touring the local fish and produce market with Tanya! She was a wonderful host and so accommodating. The food was AMAZING. The day just kept getting better. Tanya made the most amazing tequila cocktails for us and dessert which I asked for as it was my husband’s birthday. If you want authentic Mexican food and to learn about the local culture and markets this is a wonderful way to do so! We would do this again with a group. Such fun and full of thoughtfulness.

We met at the local market and gathered the food for our meal. We then drove to the house and prepared our meal with interesting conversations, good food and drink. Tanis then drove us to our resort. Great experience.

Met promptly at the Cozumel Mercado. Just the two of us seniors that day. Tania warmly greeted us and took us shopping to the produce and meat stands. Market clean with fresh goods. We had a choice of Chicken, pork or fish. We chose chicken. She drove us to the home where we prepared the many dishes in a nicely equipped kitchen. Tania explained each dish as we helped. Including two different types of margaritas. All easy to make and delicious. Non-alcoholic drinks available. Tania a lovely, friendly lady and patient. Had a fun time with great food and drink. She later drove us to our desired drop-off point. Later, she sent us all the recipes and pictures she had taken. Has been very responsive for questions we had after the class. We loved shopping in the market, asking questions about all kinds of stuff with Tanya. Then we went back to the house to cook up a wonderful lunch. Tanya made us the best Margaritas ever! We felt relaxed while cooking and talking with Tanya. Over all a FANTASTIC 5-Star Day! We would recommend to any couple wanting to learn and enjoy the food and drink of Cozumel. Had an absolutely amazing experience. We where met by Tanya who took us shopping and showed us the fresh ingredients. Then she took us to her home and we experienced authentic cooking in front of us. Made guacamole, red salsa, pork pibli and drank dragon fruit margaritas. Definately a must for anyone. Cpuldnt recommend highly enough

Joining with the guide at the market was fascinating with the variety of produce especially fruit which was new to us. We were so impressed by the variety of food prepared which was delicious, not to mention the margaritas. It was such an enjoyable experience with another compatible couple in a very relaxed environment in a private kitchen. It made us so appreciative of the best of Mexican cuisine. It was the highlight of our visit to Cozumel.

We had one of the best shore excursions experience. We went shopping with Tonya and Sergio in the local food market. We then we went to Kevin’s lovely home, where we helped Tonya prepare the food. The food was outstanding and the company was great. We had 11 in our group and it was fun to converse with the guests and our hosts. This is a must do experience, book it now.
