If your hotel is located outside of the center of Cusco you must come to the meeting point, or contact us by whatsApp or call us directly to let us know the name of your hotel. We do not pick up from Airbnbs if you are in Airbnb Be in the middle of Plaza regocijos or ( Plaza el Regocijo ) By the small water Fountain between 4:00am to 4:10am

What To Expect

After pickup from your Cusco hotel, enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive to Mollepata village, where a quick breakfast prepares you for the upcoming hike. Then, travel to Soraypampa, the starting point of the trek.

Embark on a 1.5-hour steep ascent to the sacred Humantay Lake, or opt for a horse ride if needed. At the summit, absorb the significance of this sacred Inca site and its mythology while taking in the stunning high-alpine views.

Refuel with a delicious lunch in Mollepata and conclude the day with a return to Cusco.

The trip was amazing and our Guide Hilton was such a cool guy. He was all the time joking with me and i loved talking to this guy. It was really tough but everyone could go on his own pace. So that was a nice part about it. The guide explained also a lot about the mountain and gave us a lot of knowledge from the Inkas and their language Queja ( sry for misspelling). The view was not so good, but the group was amazing. We were like a little family 😁 Loved it

An amazing day from start to finish. GianCarlo our guide and Saul our driver were brilliant An adequate breakfast and lunch with spectacular scenery. The trek up to the Laguna is difficult but horses are on hand if required for 80 soles. The effort is well and truly worth it. A very long and tiring day but worth every penny!

Excellent all around tour. Great insight and knowledge provided by our guide. I suggest taking a few days to acclimate to the higher altitude of Cusco region before doing a tour to Humantay Lake.

Great tour the lake was beautiful and an amazing view!! Beware the hike isn’t easy there is an option to get a horse for S/80 but if you hike with elevation it is tough. Lake is worth the hike though!!

Okay trip but not a must

Not worth an effort unless your main objective is hiking. Horse back riding made it comfortable though. Didn't like packed in a van that was not so comfortable for a ride to over 3 hours each way. Lake has some good picture spot but its not that amazing worth for much an hike

We had a wonderful trip to Humantai Lake. Our guide was so kind and skillful. Nice and tasty breakfast and lunch were included. I took my daughters (9 and 7) and I thought it was a good decision to rent horses for them (only for climbing). It’s worth getting up very early and climbing on foot up to 4200m altitude to see so beautiful lagoon.

View is great, hike is challenging … company could improve!

No doubt, the view is amazing & worth it though a challenging and fun little hike. My comment are more about the company: - Minivan was in bad shape and dirty; - Food wasn’t great; - Tour is too long, people are too slow; Would usually go by myself, but was simpler this way.

Food was great, guide Amerigo I think his name was, was great, he was nice, informative and made sure no one everyone was good since the elevation makes it decently challenging, he even did an incan ceremony and offering, the struggle of the hike is well worth it for the view you get, and they have horse options, only complaint was the driver was WHIPPING around turns,I don't get motion sick but even I was getting a little nauseous on the ride up

Would have been a 5 if the included breakfast was hot and the lunch included a free beverage. Our guide Edgar had excellent English and explained every step of the way with great detail. Upon arrival we walked about 20-25 mins with a slight incline and purchased the one way horse ride up for S./80. After the horses about another 10 min hike up before leveling off to see the lake. The best photo opportunity is another 10 min hike up and Edgar, our guide, took great pics and a very fun video. I noticed that other vans looked newer and a bit nicer but what we had worked just fine for the price we paid.

Amazing tour and breathe taking view! The group contains 19 visitor with our tour guide Fredy. Pickup at our hotel on time, we had breakfast buffet and we used the horse both way to go up the mountain. Since we started early, we were able to enjoy the lake with no crowd. We hiked up to the top and enjoyed the most amazing view of the lake. Lunch was provided after the hike and drop of time back to our hotel was around 6PM. I couldn't ask for a more perfect experience, thank you team!

Disappointing

It was raining and 2 degrees Celsius, the tour realistically should have been cancelled due to the poor weather. Most people are not bringing winter coats with them on vacation. We were hoping the weather may clear or not be as bad at the lake but it was. We decided not to do the actual hike as the conditions were very muddy and cold. We understand this is not the tour companies fault but it was such horrible weather and foggy that the views of the lake and mountains were not great from the other travellers we were with. Breakfast and lunch was average. Worst part was at the end of a very long exhausting day, part of the town square was closed off so instead of taking a longer route to drop everyone off at their hotels, the van pulled over and made everyone get out. Our hotel was up the hill several kilometres alway. When we told the tour guide that I was feeling under the weather and that our hotel is still quite far away up a steep hill, he said he could get a cab for us.. so pick up and drop off from the hotel was truly not included. Disappointing trip.

Astonishing landscape and history

Humantay Lake is a beautiful place! The guide was a friendly person, providing meaningful information about the lake and the Inca culture surrounding it. I highly recommend to rent a horse (80 PEN) at least for the upward hike, as it allows you to save some time. I recommend this tour to anyone that looks forward to visit Humantay Lake.

From beginning to end, this tour was smooth and very enjoyable. Although it has a very early start time, it is worth every minute. Alejandro our tour guide was amazing! He had so many tips on how to have a great experience, was patient and very informative along the way. He gave us options on what time we wanted to return and took the most amazing pictures of my boyfriend and I. I would recommend to wait a couple of days once you arrive to Cusco to do this tour as the altitude and amount of exertion needed to get to the top could be a challenge for some. I personally ended up taking the horse while i was half way there. Should have taken it since the beginning. Overall the view and experience was amazing.

Lot of great things about the tour - Ran on time - Our guide was great- don't remember his name though - Pickup on time - informative and fun Cons- I think there's extra time given to lunch and breakfast that doesn't justify the 4am pickup at least for me The driver didn't turn on the ac even after saying it twice

Spectacular views

Although the hike is tough, the views of the lake and mountains are absolutely spectacular. I loved my group and our guide, and breakfast and lunch were good. Only two complaints: there is no beverage included in the lunch meal and I got some contradicting information/answers about return time from Kedi, who was not my guide. My guide and the views made up for that.
