What To Expect
Begin your day with an early morning pickup from your hotel. Drive through Peru’s rugged mountain landscape until reaching the town of Quessiuno, to eat breakfast before starting your hike.
Trek uphill, taking in the colorful views of the Rainbow Mountains. Learn about the local flora and fauna from your guide as you go.
Once reaching the peak of the mountain, take time to enjoy the view of the mountain and the snow-capped Ausangate beyond. Then, make your way downhill and eat a leisurely lunch back in town.
Return to Cusco where you get dropped off at the Regocijo Square, one block from Cusco’s central plaza.
Please note: This tour is recommended for those in strong physical shape who have acclimated to the altitude. It is also possible to rent a horse (own expense) if you don’t wish to hike.

The overall experience was good. Rainbow mountain was magnificent. But the ride from and back to cusco was very bumpy. In future I suggest no passenger should be placed at the back of the van. Caused me a terrible headache.
Both the tour guides were great and helpful.

This was so fun! Nobody talks about how beautiful the drive to rainbow mountain is. So breathtaking. Also we made a few stops along the way for food and taking pics of views. I got to hold a baby alpaca at this alpaca farm. It was so fun! The tour guides were funny and knowledgeable made the journey go by faster. Not to mention one of the guides was an amazing videographer/photographer uped my insta game right there.

Anibal and the crew were amazing, truly one of the best experiences I had while in Peru. Friendly, knowledgable and genuinely concerned about our experience being positive. If you don't book this trip, you are missing out. IF you can hike up the mountain do it. Our incredible guide Anibal had a great personality, discussing his journey's up the mountain and when I climbed it in 45 min, gave me the biggest pump up for the time. I cannot say enough good things about this experience!

I loved the beautiful views of this tour. We got to see lots of beautiful mountains prior to our trip to Rainbow mountain. The food was delicious and gave us good energy to hike. The guides were very friendly and gave great info!

You will need strength, patience and at least 12 hours time.
You start on a drive, then breakfast half way before heading up a steep one lane mountain. One you are there it’s a one hour hike up. You can go slow and the views are amazing.
The staff was very friendly and understanding, I was personally very slow. Take cash to tip the people with the llamas for pictures. I recommend but it will be a long day.

Beautiful drive out. Maybe a few hrs too long, but no easy way out there and back. It’s unfortunate how poor the conditions of the roads were. Great guides, very informative and they were great with the photos.

An excellent day on Rainbow Mountain. Our tour guide Amibal and our driver Mr Abel were great. Pick up was on time and we were given plenty of time for walking the mountain and for lunch. The sights were incredible and we would definitely recommend this trip.
