This desert dinner experience stands out by taking travelers to the luxury recreation of a *caravanserai*—historically a small settlement and rest stop for travelers passing along established trade routes. Take a scenic drive from your hotel directly to the camp and enjoy an evening of henna art, camel rides, palm readings, and more traditional activities. Then, enjoy a barbecue banquet accompanied by belly dancing, Tanura dancing, and fire shows.

    • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
    • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
    • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

    Touristy but great for kids

    The children loved it. I’ve been to others and this one felt short and quite rushed. Although a lot is free, there are still annoying sellers there trying to get you to buy stuff. Plus there are waiters for the tables trying to get you to buy alcohol. Ours asked us every 5 mins even though we didn’t want any, and at the end made a comment about us not getting drinks and him not getting a tip! But as I said, the children thought it was magical and that’s the most important thing. They rode the camels over and over again, got henna tattoos, helped make sand art, and danced away in the background when the show was on.

    An amazing sunset experience in the desert

    This was an amazing experience. We were picked up from our hotel on time by our driver, Khan l, who was very welcoming and friendly. We reached the camp early enough to enjoy and capture the warm sunset. As night came on the warm lights created a charming and cosy atmosphere. The food and entertainment was also lovely. My husband and I truly enjoyed this evening out. Thank you for this beautiful cultural experience.

    A magical time in the desert!

    The whole place was set up so beautifully and we felt like we entered a magical place. Food was great, so was service. Performances were great, especially the fire show. We all had a memorable ride on the camels and interacting with the beautiful falcon. A must do in Dubai!

    Everything was excellent. The entertainment, the staff, the organisation and the variety in the buffet. Ordered shisha (extra charge) and was AMAZING.

    Tourist trap

    This whole trip was a tourist trap. It was not in the desert but rather in an artificial built up location close the highway. They try to sell you stuff through dinner. Food is average. Not worth the money at all. Not authentic.

Our camp offers high-quality catering from a 5-star hotel and our live shows showcase the richness of Middle Eastern culture. We understand that everyone has their own preferences, and unfortunately, we cannot satisfy every guest.

    We honestly had an amazing experience. We were picked up from our home, driven out to the location, and received tea and dates on arrival. We were quite early which was a blessing because we got incredible photos of the sunset. My brothers took rides on the camels, we got to spend some time with Roxy, the 3 year old falcon, I got a stunning henna tattoo, there was great dancing, belly dancing and fire shows, and the food was delicious. The service was wonderful, we honestly had a great time and when we were done, we were dropped off at home. I read a lot of reviews beforehand, and people mentioned that you'll be harassed and pushed into buying things and that they found it unpleasant - I can say without a doubt that this is not the case. Yes, you are approached and have the option of buying perfumes, jewelry, etc, but if you kindly decline, your decision is respected. All in all, a great experience and I am so happy we decided to go.

    The experience was great. It’s only the traffic going to the venue. We drove for 2 hours just to get there. Maybe the operator might consider the traffic time in arranging earlier pick up. Otherwise, everything was fine. Food, entertainment was great. I will definitely recommend this.

    Food was good and venue was nice but from the moment you arrive you are being asked to buy upgrades, head scarves, photos, jewelry, etc. the fee paid included a camel ride and a henna application. The show was supposed to be representative of the caravans of the old spice/trade route days. 20 minutes of the same dancer spinning in circles but in two different acts. Then a fire act that was supposed to have been Mayan or Aztec in origin - unclear how Rothy’s was representative of the original caravans

    We were upgraded last minute from the camp dinner with the tents, to the fortress dinner. Overall it was a pleasant experience. We were expecting the tent dinner and this was quite different. It didn't bother us too much since the setting was beautiful, especially at sunset. Overall organization was great. Food was very good and had a great variety of middle eastern food which is what we wanted. The reason why I am not giving it a 5 star, is because the constant selling before, during and after the dinner, was slightly annoying. They would come up the whole time trying to sell pictures, perfumes etc. We understand it's part of it, but it truly dampens the atmosphere. It's obviously a bit of a tourist trap, but the people coming up at the table was definitely not fun. Would definitely recommend as a once off, if visiting Dubai for the first time, but expect it to be quite touristy.

    Fun and entertaining night in a Bedouin camp!!

    Picked up from our hotel on time. Driven out of Dubai towards the desert. Arrived at a Bedouin site for dinner and a show. Camel rides around a marked areas, henna painting, falcon interaction (which is photo which you have to pay extra for) the Shisha pipe is also extra. A Lot of food to choose from, Buffet style. Water, soft drink, tea & coffee is included alcohol is extra. The entertainment constituted of a traditional men’s Tanura (Spinning dance) fire show plus belly dancing. Staff are great, very friendly and helpful.
