Great tour guide

Our tour guide from the JW Marriott Marquis hotel at 9:30am pickup on Oct 20, 2023 was excellent! He offered us water the moment we sat on the bus and several times throughout the tour. He took pictures at every stop and told us the best places to stand to get a memorable picture. Our lunch tasted good, and several people were happy with their authentic rug purchases.

Horrible Tour

This only got one star because I had to do a rating, otherwise it would have been given a ZERO! I really looked forward to this tour however the sites visited were a total waste and you were never given enough time. The guides took you to places where they had direct relationships with businesses (normal) however I hate being scammed! Was “allegedly” taken to a museum where they have nothing but items from the royal family however I was confused when they wanted to “sell” some one of a kind pieces (rugs) made specifically for the royal family to us for hundreds of dollars. Just to get to the mall and they had the same exact rugs for half the cost! They also tell you that they will provide an Abaya if you do not have one to wear to the mosque but what they really mean is that they will take you to a store in the mall where you have no choice but to buy an Abaya. Of course since this is at the end of the tour, you have no choice but to buy because the mosque was the main attraction. Thankfully I had my own Abaya but I watched a lady in tears because she had paid for the tour with the impression that they were going to actually provide one for her however they were forcing her to buy and she had no money. The tour guide was didn’t give us a meeting point and everyone felt rushed! They tell you that you get a tour of rhe Royal palace but what they really mean is “we are going to drive by the palace at 35 mph and never slow down so good luck getting a pic!

Hi Detra, Thank you for your feedback. Let me clarify one thing that guest are i8nformed to wear appropriate clothing to enter the mosque otherwise you won't be able to enter. If I were at the girl's position I would be more appreciative that the guide assisted me to find a w way to get an abaya. Wouldn't you? It's not the guide's fault that he is kind enough to offer an alternative which you can decline ( since you are more affected than the lady ) Royal Palace requires entry ticket to enter - so if you did not purchase ticket, how would you expect to get in? It's a drive-through which is clearly mention in the inclusions. I assume you are a first time traveler? Everywhere in the world when you visit to places there are shops who sells items and memorabilia. Were you forced to buy? I believe no. What if there are other guest who were interested in buying? Moreover, you have visited the places which was in the itinerary. I know we can not please everyone. Maybe you expectations is not based on the tour we have presented. But rest assured that everything is put into consideration. Thanks again

Grand Mosque/Emirates Palace tour

I had the opportunity to take the Grand Mosque and Emirates Palace tour. The tour guide, Jameel Ahmed, was arrived on time and was extremely knowledgeable of the places and sights that were visited. I enjoyed my time and would recommend this tour for a family and/or individual looking for something to do while visiting the UAE.

Worth Going

A very fun experience! Small group tour going to Abu Dhabi. The van picked us up and dropped us off at out hotel so it is really hassle-free. Jameel our tour guide and driver are very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Grand mosque was worth going, would have been better if more time was allocated as queuing takes time and it was super crowded. Overall the tour is a must try while you are in UAE.

One of the most beautiful buildings, I'll ever saw. Abu Dhabi is amazing. Make sure you have a Covid Test when visiting the Mosque 🕌. Have good walking Shoes. You need to walk a bit.
