It is recommended not to eat 2-3 hours before the safari trip to avoid any vomiting / sickness during the dune bashing, Please note that if your skin is sensitive to henna, then you are advised not to do it.
Drop off depends of the city traffic and the season sunset time.
OceanAir Travels shall not be responsible for any kind of loss, accident, sickness or injury. It is advisable that the traveler should avail a travel health insurance as there can be chances of potential risks and hazards. Also, make sure they are mentally and physically able to participate.
Entertainment activities:- During the holy month of Ramadan you can watch Tanoura and Fire shows only in our desert camps (Al Khayma) as there will be some restrictions for Ladies Khaliji Dance. Other religious holidays as per UAE law i.e. 3rd April, 10 & 31st Aug, 9th Nov etc there will not be any entertainment activities in the camps as its strictly not permitted by UAE law.

We recommend you have international travel insurance as self-driving activities are prone to risk, leading to serious injury & is covered only by your insurance companies.
Quad biking is a self-driving activity to be taken at your own risk and the company’s insurance does not cover it.
Long clothes and jackets are recommended during winter
Pick-up timing is subject to change due to the emerging summer heat: 1 hour earlier in the morning and 1 hour later in the afternoon. A notification shall be sent in advance in the case of any change.
By UAE law, pregnant ladies, anyone with back or neck pain, heart problems or other serious medical complaints and infants (under 3 years old) are not allowed during the dune bashing activity by car. (If this conditions are applicable to you, please contact our Consultant to customize your tour)

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Tourist trap!

Extremely inauthentic experience. During the dune bashing we literally rode in the track of the Jeep in front of us. Lots of people waiting at the sandboarding and all tours assemble at this meeting place that is extremely touristy (and ugly!) The company also picked us up 75 min before the chosen departure time and they harrass you through WhatsApp and phone the evening before and also call you an hour before the pick up time to make sure that you are awake, even when you have confirmed the pickup time the evening before. A very unpleasant way of dealing with guests who are on holiday!

We were three adults and three kids (age 5, 4, 1). Overall it was a really good experience. Many different acitvies and a great BBQ at the end. I would say if my kids were slightly older they probably would have gotten more out of it. They may have been a little too young to fully overcome the fatigue that comes with the desert heat and blowing sand. There was some crankiness but otherwise they also had a good time. My one year was carried throughout the whole experience as strollers don't work and he participated more and better than I expected. Good communication through WhatsApp to arrange and complete pickup. Our guide was Nasser. He was friendly, efficient and informative. He made an effort to ensure we were enjoying each part of the tour. After pickup, we were driven to an area where you could purchase time to drive an ATV or a dune buggy. You get 35 minutes and there is a guide you follow through the desert or a specific route. Throughout the route there are stops for drinks and photos. Some of the vehicle options were decently prices but others were very expensive. We saw it as a once in a lifetime thing so we decided to do a 4 person buggy so our kids could join. Afterwards, we were driven to a different location for the dune bashing. This is where your guide drives you through the desert in the 4x4 they picked you up in. They do some tricks and wild driving that was nore exciting and fun than I expected. Our guide did tame the experience since we had little kids. Afterwards, we parked in the desert for sand boarding and more photos. This was really fun and something for all ages. Kids can sit on the boards if they are too little to stand. I saw most adults give it a try. It was really a very serene and calming experience to be in the middle of the desert and to be exposed to such a different geological environment than the one we're used to in Canada. After this part, we were driven to the camp where we were offered a short camel ride, a chance to feed baby camels, henna, shisha, coffee, tea, appetizers and a BBQ dinner. It was really a nice setup. There were shaded open air rooms and dinner tables with poufs arranged in a circular pattern so that everyone could have a view of the stage where there was a Tanour and fire show performance. Both performances were very good and entertaining. The last part was a five minute rest and relaxation moment before we went back to the car. Our guide drove us back to our airbnb.

Overall the experience was good. I would suggest bringing warm clothes or a blank for the camp. It will be stated that blankets are included but there were only like 10 blankets total with beyond 10 guest there. The food was good, so that’s a plus.

The best tour ever!!!! Our tour guide Vacar was the best. Sand bashing Sand surfing camel ride. Holding Falcon up close , entertainments and food were super . I wish I had time to do it again!

Nice ATV activity pick up was prompt and on time, they communicate with you the night before to let you know what time they will be at your pick up location. It’s about a 45 minute drive from the city of Dubai to the location where you will ride the ATVs, we had a fair amount of time to ride the ATVs, and they also gave us a opportunity to upgrade to a buggy if you wanted to. There was also an opportunity to take pictures with a falcon, and to buy things out of their shop, such as head, scarves, souvenirs, etc. , I did not do the dune, bashing and sand surfing part of the activities due to motion sickness, so I cannot comment on that portion.

Well organized activity: pickup, drive, camel ride, dune bashing, sand boarding and photo ops along the way. Communication very professional and friendly. Would recommend the operator and the guide (his name is Khan). The car (Toyota Land Cruiser) was clean and well maintained.

Our drivers/guides were Mr Khan and Jasem - for 8 adults and 3 kids. Both Mr Khan and Jasem were great guides who ensured that our desert tour went smoothly. They drove skillfully and provided us with useful tips and advice throughout the tour. For the dune bashing, they both ensured that we were all comfortable and feeling fine. Oh yes, would like to commend Mr Khan for taking such beautiful photos of us against the sunset! [Just for sharing, for everyone's knowledge - while we took the all-inclusive package with quad bike, there was an additional AED400 charge to change to a 4-person buggy (in place of the quad bike) as my parents were not keen for the quad bike.]
