It really is a must to do this with a guide so they can show you the highlights and explain the stories behind them.

Uffizi tour - worth every penny

Our guide was Ana and she was fabulous. Her enthusiasm was incredible and she was very passionate about the Uffizi. Really knew her stuff - made the tour so interesting. Not cheap but definitely worth paying the extra to have a small group.

Severely overpriced

Locating the meeting place was very poorly organised with no designated stand. The earpiece device was very poor and many in the group continually raised they could not hear over the static. The group was rushed through some arbitrary key points of a very busy museum squeezing through the throngs. In all a poor tour and had I simply bought jump the que tickets I could have managed better with the download app and at my own pace. Severely overpriced product to trap tourists.

Difficult to understand

Tour was interesting. The group size was good. Guide was difficult to understand, spoke rapidly. Did not really engage tour members. Exhausted after tour from trying to understand guide. What information we did get was very good. Focus on the transition period of the 15th century was good. So much to see in museum!

Alphonzo was great! I have always enjoyed art but he taught me so much! He has great intellect and humor. I only wish the statue David was at the museum as well. We were pressed for time and could only fit in one museum. maybe next trip.

This tour was OK but not as good as it could have been. I guess it is just another example of how overbooked the museum was in general. Our guide did a nice job of telling us about each piece she had on her list but virtually didn't say anything about the other things right there next to us - a quick, "by the way, that on is ..." would have been better than spending so much time per item that she did show. There should be better assurances that these venues wouldn't be so oversold - the crowds were near ridiculous.

The guide was so knowledgable. Highly impressed with his scope of knowledge and love of the art. There is so much to see in the Uffizi Gallery, it's a bit overwhelming. This tour helped you focus and guided you along. It was just enough art and history for us. If you want a more in-depth tour, there are those. But for us, this was just enough to hold our interest without being there all day.

Not worth the money. Had a very difficult time hearing the guide. Cheap one speaker headphone didn’t help. Parts of the gallery were closed off. Extremely crowded.

The guide was knowledgeable but going too fast through the galleries to appreciate the museum. The worst part was the radios that were distributed plus the single ear headphones. They were scratchy and extremely difficult to hear the guide. She tried to talk directly to us as most of the group had the same issue with the radios. I wouldn’t recommend this tour.

I booked a tour with Guide of the Uffizi Gallery for my family. We were running a little late but the agent was very accommodating, and we really appreciated it as it would have been a loss to not have this experience. I highly recommend setting up tours to main places in Florence as the knowledge shared by the guides are very important to understand the history and appreciate what you see during the tour.
