Fantastic tour in Tuscany with Francesco

My wife and I had a wonderful time on this private Tuscan tour with our driver Francesco. Francesco was very warm and engaging and he did a great job driving in the comfortable minivan. He was knowledgeable on the area and history and never tired of answering my questions. The church in Siena was very beautiful and we enjoyed the large piazza. The lunch at the winery was great for both the food and the wine...we ended up purchasing wine from them. San Gimignano was very interesting and charming and the views over the Tuscan countryside were stunning. The drive back to Florence was also beautiful before we ended the day at Piazza Michelangelo with a great view over the city of Florence. This was an amazing day and we really appreciated seeing all the sights and enjoying our day with Francesco.

Nothing like personal service in Tuscany

We had the best time with Francesco. He was a wonderful tour guide and driver for us. It was a rainy day and he greeted us at our condo door with umbrella's to get us to the tour van. We super enjoyed Sienna, Tenuta Guardastelle winery and San Gimignano. Francesco told us the secrets of each place we went and the best things to do or to try. You will have the best time and make the best memories on this tour.

The driver was fantastic. The car was clean and felt safe. The wine tour and lunch was amazing. I felt like it was a little misleading that there was no tour for Siena. That was very disappointing.

Hey memorable day

Well it started with great communication with Gino. Very quick to respond. Gino picked us up not too far from our apartment and was greeted with a smile. He first took us to an overlook with an amazing view of Florence in the background. From there the journey began. We asked a lot of questions he gave us a lot of answers. And I think this is what makes it a memorable experience. Ask questions. !!! We did have a little bit of a delay on the main Highway. Turned out it was a fatality accident and we were stuck. We made the best of it and had good conversation. Once we got past that Gino was very motivated to get us to see as much as we possibly could. First stop was Sienna, the main Square is definitely a sight learning a little bit of history and about the annual horse race they have in the Square. That would be something to see. Next stop was San Gimignano, another great location with Incredible views . Walked to the top of the hill and enjoyed a nice glass of Chianti. Last was the winery. All were terrific. We did feel a little pressure at the winery because we got there so late. Again no fault of anybody and we were understanding of that. On the ride home with the evening glow of sunset, Gino put on screen an Andrea Bocelli video recorded in a Tuscan Hills Amphitheater. A great way to end the day. Day dreaming, looking out the window of all the wineries and Vineyards. Wow this is Italy.

The tour that was an expensive taxi ride

There was no tour. The driver played a Rick Steve's video about Siena on the way there. He dropped us off at both cities and told us what time he would be back. The tour was actually just a real expensive taxi ride!

What a fantastic day! Our driver Gino prepared us for every stop and the drive was lovely. The best part for us was the stop at the winery. We had the best food and wine we’ve eat in Italy and the family was very gracious and kind. Highly recommend Gino and this excursion!

Wonderful and relaxing way to see Tuscany

Really wonderful and relaxing way to see Tuscany. Francesco was our driver and was superb! He dropped us directly in the Siena plaza and accommodated us by picking us up directly at the Siena Duomo, which my grandmother appreciated. Everything was so well-taken care of for us that it was a very easygoing day and highly recommend doing a private tour and driver over a large tour bus.

Great day exploring and wine tasting

Gino was great!! He picked us up at our hotel and his van was a very comfortable way to spend the day driving through the Chianti region. Our first stop, after over an hours drive, was Siena which was well worth going to! Beautiful city and unique in many ways. Gino told Us a lot of the history and traditions of the town (and a video)and that added to our enjoyment of exploring it. It is very hilly so prepare for some steep but short street walking. We stayed here 2 hours. Our next stop (maybe 20 minutes away) was at a private farm/winery for an enjoyable wine tasting and lunch option - both with an additional cost. The owners were very involved and informative. We tried 4 different kinds of wine all made there on the property. It was a great experience with a beautiful view! We opted out of the lunch option, because we had all grabbed inexpensive paninis in Siena just before, but the wine tasting did include a charcuterie board. Just let Gino know what you want to do at the winery and he will arrange before you arrive there. We let him know that morning. Next we went to San Gimignano and loved it! Beautiful views of the region from up there and we’ll worth it. We stayed here 1 hour. Then back to our hotel (maybe an hour drive). I am so glad we did this tour and I would definitely book with Gino again for a different adventure! He was wonderful. I wish we had more time in each town but it was the only way to do all of that in one day. Gino knows about how much time to spend in each spot but he is also very flexible if you need a bit more time, and willing to adapt. Thanks, Gino, for an awesome day that we will always remember!!

I highly recommend hiring Luigi (Gino)! He was an excellent tour guide, super knowledgeable and kind and took us to some incredible spots. His van was very clean, spacious and comfortable and he made the trip easy and quick. He even had wifi available, which was super helpful! If you are looking to explore the country side outside of Florence, don’t look any further and hire Luigi immediately- you will not be disappointed!!
