Spend some time on the water with this half-day sailing charter in Fort Lauderdale. When out to sea, sit back and relax on the boat or jump in for a swim or to snorkel. The boat is equipped with shaded seating areas, a Bluetooth speaker, a freshwater shower, and snorkeling and other water activity equipment. Plus, the captain can instruct you on how to sail yourself.

Amazing trip!! My boyfriend and I sailed the Daffy while visiting Fort Lauderdale and loved it! It’s a beautiful boat and such a fun way to experience the ocean and river. We were out for over four even and even got to try sailing it ourselves. Captain Charlie is a character!

Captain Charlie is a character. Lots of fun, info and verbal sparring. He provides a safe atmosphere in which having fun comes naturally. We will return to sail with him again. Great day on the water. Everyone that was interested also got a chance to sail the boat, learn how to read wind direction and steer to a course heading. Bring a sense of humor and thick skin. Charlie likes to joke around.

Loud and obnoxious experience

We booked this small group sailing to celebrate our god son's 12th bday. While the weather, water, and sailing itself were really spectacular, the Captain was not a match for us. He was so loud and obnoxious. He would have been perfectly suited for a party/drinking group. That was not us - we just wanted a nice family experience on the water. The Captain hooted and hollered throughout the 4-hour experience, really making it very uncomfortable. He had a complete inability to "read the room" and see that he was not coming off in the way he intended. If you want to get drunk and party on the water, this is the guy for you. If you want a relaxing time to enjoy one another on the water, choose something else...

We had great winds for sailing. The sea was a little rough at times but that is what it is like sailing and we wanted to experience the real thing Captain Charlie was an experienced captain and made it a good time.

Captain Charlie was a lot of fun (even though he will say he is "bombastic".) If you are sensitive to bold personalities -- pick someone else -- and I don't mean this in a negative way! Our captain didn't pull any punches which actually made me feel safer. I am afraid of boats and I conquered my fear in a big way. I did this excursion with my 21 year old daughter and not only did we have a great adventure we also learned a lot about the history of the area and sailing in general. She got to steer the boat and helped with the ropes. We were on the excursion with two other couples and it was even better with a group! All in all I would recommend this to anyone who is ready for an adventure on the sea.

We had a wonderful time on the trip , Captain Charlie was awesome and gave us a fantastic experience we will remember for a very long time. Captain Charlie is a great conversationalist, I’m not sure which one I enjoyed more the sailing or chatting with Charlie. Together it made for outstanding time. I highly recommend this excursion for anyone.

We had a great time. Captain/owner has an engaging personality and wit. We spent an hour each way motoring on the boat to the ocean and back but that was fine as we saw lots of high-end houses. Windy day for sailing but lots of fun. Would do it again.

We had a fun and memorable time sailing for the afternoon with Captain Charlie! Great communication regarding directions/instructions/what to pack, a lovely trip out to the ocean through the canals and intercoastal waters, and adventurous sailing on the Atlantic. Captain Charlie was interesting and entertaining. Would definitely recommend!

There were many memorable moments from this trip, from sailing on the ocean to navigating the river. Captain Charlie has a great sense of humor and was able to keep the trip lively at all times. He had many stories to tell, including tales from his own life to short histories on famous houses on the river while we were on our way out. The guests were also invited to take part in sailing the boat, which was the best part of the trip.
