    We had a great experience cooking with Alberto! From start to finish it was amazing. We were educated on every ingredients, learnt how to make pesto and pasta and throughly enjoyed our own cooked meal at the end! We can’t thank you enough, and 100% recommend doing this activity if coming to Genoa.

    One of the things we wanted to do was learn how to make pesto while in Italy. We booked this event and would 10/10 recommend. It was so informative and Alberto explained everything so well. I am confident I can make it in the states when I get home. There are several flights of stairs to get to the apartment but the rooftop garden was beautiful.

    We have been living in Milan for a while hopping on train from time to time to go somewhere seeking to learn more about the Italian culture . We booked this pesto class in Genova and it was an amazingly delightful experience thank a to Alberto’s passion and willingness to truly teach us the art of pesto. We were together for over four hours and it felt like minutes. Thank you Alberto for gifting us with such a lovely experience.

    My wife and I loved this class held in Alberto’s home! Just as we learned in our class on making pesto and pasta the Genoese way—that the ingredients matter—this class had all the right ingredients—authenticity, a great host, and a genuine connection so otherwise hard to make in a new city and culture. Bravo! And the pesto we made was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend.

    Alberto was an absolute delight. He was helpful before we even got to his home, and then at the time of the class, he was a gracious host, patient teacher, and all around great cook. We loved learning about the food we were making and the story of each ingredient. He was great with our two small kids, too. This was easily one of the top highlights of our stay in Italy and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

    What an amazing activity for the whole family! We booked this class on Easter Sunday and were surprised it was available. Alberto admitted he forgot to close the date on the booking system. He could have canceled our class but instead welcomed us into his home and we are so glad he did! He provided detailed, hands on instructions for a fun afternoon making pasta and pesto, sharing stories and genuinely enjoying the time. As soon as we got home I bought a marble mortar and pestle (made in Italy of course) and finally made our own pesto at home. It came out perfect and just as we remember making with Alberto! Book this class and you will not regret it!!

    Amazing lesson! Alberto was an great teacher and gave very detailed explanations of each step, describing each process and ingredient making it very easy to follow along. We left the experience feeling very full and well looked after I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting the city well worth the money.

    If we could rate more than 5 stars we would! What an amazing experience - thank you Alberto! We also appreciate how accommodating he was with us needing to catch a train (we made it just in time). Alberto was great at explaining where each ingredient comes from, why it’s used, and how to make pasta and pesto properly. Everyone got to have a go with each step. The best part was eating it at the end! His home is so welcoming and comfortable. The whole evening was so enjoyable and definitely a highlight of our trip!

    This was the best cooking class I’ve ever attended. You can tell Alberto is passionate about food. Every detail was carefully considered making the experience from start to finish purely enjoyable. You arrive at his apartment which gives the experience an authentic feeling. He offered us focaccia and cappuccino as soon as he arrived. His kitchen was clean and organized with every ingredient intentional and thoughtfully sourced. He is a chef by trade and offers classes on the side which shows in his expertise. He was patient and kind while teaching us how to make the pasta and pesto. And he offered us wine while we waited for our pasta to cook. The end result was the best pasta I’ve ever eaten! He even had a typical “Nonna’s” dessert and an Italian liquor to end the meal. I would recommend this to anyone! If you’re on the fence, just book it! You won’t regret it.

    Attending the pesto and pasta making class in Genoa was a delightful experience. The teacher was exceptionally informative and kind, guiding us through the traditional pesto-making process. The highlight was crafting pasta with chestnut flour, adding a unique touch to the overall fantastic class. Additionally the class's stunning location—a rooftop apartment with a view of Genoa, enhancing the overall experience of learning to make pesto and pasta in a truly enchanting setting. Highly recommend for both novices and cooking enthusiasts!

    We had an absolutely fabulous time with Alberto!! He was so welcoming and kind. His rooftop terrace was beautiful and the perfect spot for this cooking class. He fed us many different native Genovese dishes and explained the importance of each ingredient. The food was all SOOOO good! Regular pesto will never compare to the AMAZING pesto he taught us to make. We are so glad we did this class with Alberto and cannot recommend this enough.

    The ultimate way to enjoy Italian cooking and culture. We were privileged to be guests at the house of a local chef who taught us both cooking and regional culture in the kitchen of his own home. We enjoyed learning the techniques, trying different focaccia breads and having Italian wine. We all pressed our own pesto sauce, rolled our own pasta and afterwards enjoyed our creation. highly recommend for a nice afternoon.

    Absolutely LOVED our time during this class. Chef Alberto made us feel so welcomed in his home. The terrace the class took place was absolutely breathtaking and gave each member of the family the feeling we were truly in Italy. Between the explanations of why specific ingredients were used to different techniques, we left with a new excitement and knowledge to help create these recipes forever. HIGHLY recommend!!

    Such a wonderful experience! Alberto is a great chef, instructor and person! I highly recommend this experience! First, we had transportation problems which Alberto was so helpful and accommodating in advising us. Then when we arrived and started the class, he made everyone feel at home. He brought out delicious snacks and wine while he taught us about the Ligurian cuisine. Making the pasta and the Pesto was a hands-on experience that was so easy to understand and resulted in a delicious dinner. We would definitely do this again when in Genoa!

    This is a not to be missed cooking class!!!’ Chef Alberto is wonderful! His rooftop patio is an oasis in Genoa. The pesto and pasta we made was the best our family had ever tasted. Highly recommend!
