Gustavo was knowledgeable and articulate. He made the morning fly by with fascinating insights into the history of Guatemala City. We were able to visit many historic sights and he also gave us the reason for many of the religious practices during Holy Week.

This tour can be one star or five star depending on the guide ! Very luckily, we were alone in the afternoon tour an a fabulous guide, a young university student came to go with us. we have visited by car residential areas (14 , 16 zones), cafe and restaurants part of the city (zone 4) and thoroughly Avenida 7 and Avenida Reforma with all highlights. Then, we finished the program by nearly two hours walking around the old city visiting San Francisco Church, Post Office, the whole constitution Plaza and terminate at Central Market. It was full five hour fabulous program slightly modified by the guide. Strongly recommended with the guide Gustavo Grajeda.

Unfortunately I relied on the majority of the reviews saying they had a great time with an English speaking tour guide. Like the minority of reviews, I also was given a Spanish speaking tour guide. While he was extremely friendly, he did not speak English as I requested and I did not get to really experience the city as I had hoped. I would not recommend this tour unless they can guarantee that they will have an English guide if needed.

This was a great introduction to not just Guatemala City but Guatemala as a whole!
