      Tikal in a hurry
      Cynthia_F, Mar 2024
I am sharing this picture of our guide as he was FANTASTIC. Very knowledgeable about everything from the ruins to the wildlife we saw - 2 kinds of monkeys lots of birds which he identified and also spotted visually or hearing their calls. Great experience even though our flight was delayed by 3 hours. I did not get our guide's name so can't give a personal review though wish I could give him 10 stars
      Perfect tour

This is a long day for sure, but worth it if you want a day trip from Guatemala. Early morning pick-up at my hotel was on-time and I had plenty of time to check-in and get to my flight. When we landed in Flores, we had about an hour before departing so there was time for breakfast and coffee in the airport cafe. Luis was a great tour guide who was very knowledgeable about Tikal. I liked that he gave us optional time to climb to the top of the temples, allowing time for others to rest at the bottom. I climbed every time and it was wonderful. The lunch was great and I made it back to the Flores airport on-time for my flight back to Guatemala City. When I arrived, someone met me with my name on a sign.
I have read about it & now I have experienced it

It was a great experience from the hole of the howler Monkees to the magnificence of the Mayan temples rising out of the jungle

Our guide, Luiz, was knowledgeable, friendly, and charismatic. The whole experience was great for us staying in Guatemala City, as it allowed us to "do" Tikal in a single day without procuring additional accommodation. Tikal itself is quite incredible too.
Perfect blend of history and nature

Yes, you will spend time waiting around at the airport and it is a long day… but it is worth it! We had Erdozain as our guide and I cannot recommend him more highly. His love for the history and nature of Tikal came out in each stop and we saw more birds and monkeys than we could have imagined. Cannot imagine the tour having gone any better.
      Good experience

Good experience if you are short on time otherwise don't book. You get about 4-5 hours at the park which is good enough to see and climb most of the Pyramids. Our guide Wendy was great, she was very knowledgeable and nice. There is a lot of waiting time at the Flores airport which is not ideal.

Tikal is a must-do if you are in Guatemala! This day trip from Guatemala City was ideal if you don't want to drive all the way there. It is well organized end to end, we were picked up from our hotel and dropped back off there. The guide on-site is very knowledgeable, walk with you in Tikal and provide the necessary cultural and historical explanation. The lunch is included in the restaurant within the park as well. I did this with my 2 kids (5 and 9) and the 3 hour walk including climbing up 3 pyramids was fine.
Good, but could have been tighter.

Tikal and the actual. park was amazing. There was just lots of waiting around— for pickup, for the tour to start, for the plane at the end of the day, for the pickup back to our hotel. If I had to do it again, I would have just booked my own rides and plane, then rented a car to get to the park. Our guide— Noah was very nice.
      Increíble!!! Incredible!!!

This was an amazing trip. Viator was awesome in taking care of all of the details. Not an easy place to access on your worn. Tour guide was wonderful. Highly recommend. Worth every penny!!
A Must See on the bucket list.

The magnificence and beauty of the park. The extraordinary achievement of the Mayans. The guide was well informed and very patient. The temples are wonderful and you can climb three of them by a wooden structure. The lunch was good. The whole experience is well worth it.
      Excellent Day Trip to Tikal
      Monica_A, Apr 2023
We were very happy with this day tour. I chose the option of having transportation to the airport. The person who picked us up was very punctual and informative on the directions for our flight to Flores airport. When we arrived we were able to grab a bite to eat at the airport and the shuttle that drove us to Tikal was excellent, especially the air conditioning. Our tour guide was Mr. Lopez who explained everything in English, was very knowledgeable of the Mayan culture, shared fun and interesting stories and guided us with many stops to show us about the flora and fauna of the area. We were able to go up some of the ruins and the tour of the park ended in the most breathtaking pyramids and Mayan residential area. Lunch was excellent, very tasty. For the return to the airport the air conditioning in the shuttle was great! This part of the country is very warm year round. At the airport, Mr. Lopez was very kind and accompanied us to the airline counter for our flight back to Guatemala City. This day tour to Tikal is an excellent option during your visit to Guatemala. Would definitely recommend it!
      Great day trip!

Long day but well worth it. Our guide was excellent, spoke English well and provided lots of history. We were at Tikal for about 5 hours including a delicious lunch on site.

Delightful very busy, full day. Great managers, drivers and guide. Lots of walking! Climb pyramids. Recommend walking and getting conditioned if you are out of shape. Lunch great!

      Trip to Tikal
      Kevin_P, Feb 2023
Had a great tour of Tikal with Mr. Lopez despite flight arriving 3 hours late. Learned a lot, but our return flight was changed until 7:30 without communication. We were dropped off at airport at 4:30. We had to wait 3 hours in a lobby. We were frustrated because the guide had told us the return flight was at 635. We believe the guide had the correct departure (730), but did not want to tell us otherwise he would have gotten an earful from the group. Still, Tikal was excellent despite the deceiveful guide.
      My personal experience!
      Basil_P, Feb 2023
The trip with my host and how informative he was with very good attention to details. I knew about the Mayan Empire from historical studies but getting first hand information with the added availability of the amazing surroundings was simply priceless and something that I can never forget.
      Great day @ TIKAL! :)
      Amber_E, Feb 2023
It was a LONG day, but it was a GREAT day. This company will take care of you from start to finish. I highly recommend doing this day tour as it's one of the best ruins I've seen yet.

Amazing tour for those who like ancient culture this is mandatory. I had lucky for doing this in the dry season where you can see most of the city...during the summer (june to sep) you will see only the main plaza
