Great tour with an amazing tour guide
Mark_G, May 2024
Had a fantastic time in Ho Chi Minh City on this tour. We got to see all the major sights including the War Remnants Museum which was amazing. Our tour was made extra special by our very pleasant and accommodating tour guide Anna. She was amazing. She spoke good English, she introduced us to the Vietnamese most popular meals and allowed us to customize our tour to our specific interests. She also arranged and paid for a taxi to take us to massage appointments the next day. She ensured that we got pick up and brought back safely to our ship as if she was with us. Very nice of her! I would highly recommend the tour and Anna as your tour guide.
Thoroughly enjoyed our day with Anna

Anna was a terrific guide and very informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with her and she was very accommodating our or wishes and limitations. She took us for an authentic Pho lunch that was some of the best we have ever had. Great way to see Ho Chi Min City
Great time in Ho Chi Minh City
Denise_B, Apr 2024
Communication prior to the tour was very good and our tour guide Lawrence (Luat) sent me a photo of himself and the sign with my name on it so we could find him when getting off the ship. We didn’t have a lot of time due to needing to be back to the ship for an early departure but Lawrence and the driver made sure we saw all the places that were on our list. Lawrence was very knowledgeable on the area and answered all our questions. Since we were short on time, Lawrence suggested we have Banh Mi for lunch to save time and they were delicious. I would highly recommend this tour!
Anna made this Cruise Excursion THE BEST!!
Kim_L, Apr 2024
Anna, Anna, Anna!! What an amazing tour guide! AND together with the best driver ever ... This cruise excursion was perfect. Our ship docked in Phu My, which is at least a 1.5 hour drive into Ho Chi Mihn City BUT with Anna 'on top of things', we were able to see ALL the sights, without feeling rushed and still had time to enjoy a delicious lunch. The tour guide operator was always prompt with communication but the day before we arrived, Anna contacted us as our tour guide ... and made sure we had ALL our questions answered. Anna's knowledge of the sites and history is top-notch. Her English is fluent. She was flexible and accommodating with our requests and made us feel comfortable and welcome in this beautiful city. We had a group of 10 and the LARGE minibus was super-clean and easy to get in and out. While there were many highlights, our lunch at a small local restaurant was the best. Time to rest and talk about all the sites we'd seen. And finally, Anna made sure to time things perfectly so we arrived back at our ship well before 'all aboard'. Anna, thank you! We will remember you for your kindness and compassion ... and highly recommend others book this tour!
Outstanding and Very Memorable

We have been to Vietnam before but Tom made our experience outstanding. From the amazing coffee to the incredible lunch, plus several of the sites we had never seen before. We highly recommend.

Anna was an amazing tour guide!
patrickbrys, Apr 2024
Our tour guide Anna went out of her way to make sure we saw and did everything we wanted. She took us to amazing antique shops per our request and also to one of the tallest buildings so we could see the entire city below. She was a true delight, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. And it was her birthday that day! I highly recommend Anna as she represents the best of Viator!
Perfect day in Saigon

Thank you so much for the perfect day in Saigon. We really enjoyed it with Dorothy. Her english is excellent and she knows her town very well. It was a pleasure to see all the nice places and the driver brought us carefully through the traffic.
Family Trip

Informative guide and managed tour as we expected lunch was an authentic experience. However, traffic is very heavy so be prepared.
Best way to see Ho Chi Minh City
Timothy_C, Mar 2024
If you want to see the city with limited time this is the way to go especially on a cruise ship with large bus tours. Our guide Kay was great. Very informative , personable and took us to a great Pho restaurant for lunch. It was just my wife and myself Very relaxing in a very crowded and hectic city
Fabulous Tour

Jason was a knowledgeable, kind and fantastic guide. He tweaked the schedule to accommodate our interests which included a spectacular pho lunch and egg coffee.
Ho Chi Minh
Susie_O, Mar 2024
We had Bao as our tour guide on a Private tour and he was a very nice guide. Having said that, his accent was fairly heavy and it wasn’t very easy to understand. Also for a Private tour, I didn’t feel like we would have had that much flexibility as we weren’t asked what we wanted to do. I especially felt that way about the food that was served for lunch. Bao did everything that was on their “schedule” but if I tried to veer it differently, I don’t think he would have understood my request. For example, at lunch, none of the dishes were explained as to what we were eating :-) and frankly for the same price (I assume or lower), I would have preferred to pick my own items that I wanted to try but he didn’t understand that concept of “changing”/ customization of the “plan”. It was fine but it is the reason I chose a Private Tour was to be able to customize it a bit as I did in other ports we stopped from the cruise.
Excellent way to see Ho Chi Minh the way you want to
Joseph_C, Mar 2024
Thu Ho, our Guide for the day met at the street outside the Port. He hired a car for the day to drive us into Ho Chi Minh City. He spoke good English and was very nice. He stayed with us most of the day and took us to a nice authentic lunch at the end of the day. As he lived in Ho Chi Minh City, we dropped him off and our driver returned us to the cruise ship. I would definitely recommend doing this tour vs. the cruise ship tour as you can make it your own. One thing, I would not recommend going shopping in Chinatown. It's not worth your time, spend it at Ben Thanh Market instead and be ready to barter big time. We had a great time, I just wish we had spent some more time at the Market.
Wonderful Tour with Dorothy!
Robert_S, Mar 2024
Dorothy (our tour guide) made our day memorable. She was personable, informative, flexible, funny and caring. Dorothy provided us with the right level on information on the Temple, Chinatown, Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, etc. We enjoyed shopping at the market and the wood lacquer shop. She provided us with sufficient time for shopping and guidance on our price negotiations to make sure we had good deals. Dorothy ensured that we saw all the major city highlights (e.g. Opera House & Independence Palace) and focused on the key areas in the War Museum. A wonderful tour and day with Dorothy. The tour is worth it and having Dorothy as our tour guide made it extra special.
Best tour of Ho Chi Minh city
Kevin_B, Mar 2024
Our tour guide, Evelyn, and our driver Mr. T, were absolutely amazing! She has a wealth of knowledge about the history and culture of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City. Our Driver, Mr. T, was able to safely navigate us through the heavy traffic of speeding cars and motor scooters. The highlight for me was definitely the War Remembrance museum. Was fascinating and eye-opening to hear and see the perspective of what we call the Vietnam war, and what they call the American war. Was never taught both perspectives together in school. Would highly recommend this tour!
Dorothy and our driver...

Dorothy and our driver were super friendly and awesome tour guides! Took us all around the city to see things we never knew existed 💕
Great tour of Saigon
Carol_C, Mar 2024
Our tour guide, Helen , was great. In addition to the main attractions that everyone visits, she took us to a couple of lesser known sites/experiences. She really made the tour fantastic. Great English and easy to understand!

A New Vietnam
Ross_D, Feb 2024
Guide today is" "Dorothy". Another gem. Excellent English speaking skills and was a bonus for Sandra. Visited a Taoist Temple. Very interesting. Taoism is growing in Vietnamese culture. Since 1963 and especially after the amalgamation of North and South Vietnam in 1976.  War Remnants Museum. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. A very different story from what we have heard from the “other” (USA) side. It would seem that the American involvement in South East Asia was far more than just the Vietnam War. 9 years with France, 16 years with interim South Vietnam government , 17 years Vietnam war ... with the Korean War in the middle. Visited a lacquer ware shop.  Very informative. I came across some lacquer objects that I just had to have. Roundabouts everywhere, hold overs from the French influence. Finished the night on the rooftop of the Rex hotel.  During the Vietnam war the American Information Service made its base at the hotel which soon became the favorite haunt of U.S. officers and the scene of daily press briefings to foreign correspondents, or “five o'clock follies”, as they were called. This is where the Vietnamese government under Nguyen Van Thieu signed the documents that turned South Vietnam over to the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Vietnam, 2 July 1976. The Lunar Festival events that were going on the main walking street in the area around the Rex Hotel were incredible. People everywhere.  Dancing, singing, music, street performers - no police or military evident anywhere. Looked more like a Canadian China town event in Vancouver or Toronto. Evidently, Dorothy, guide, had never been up to the roof of the Rex - just not proper. When we invited her she was first confused and then when she understood we wanted her there as our guest, she was very excited. She spent time calling her friends (in the square below) telling them where she was. She looked like she belonged as Sandra sat with her and had Koolong Tea. - very average tea
A great day with Vincent
David_M, Feb 2024
Our guide Vincent was very sensitive to our needs during the day. I particularly liked his showing us how to eat Banh Xeo, a Vietnamese dish.
