Memorable floating market trip.

Riding the bicycle's through the village and floating down the small rivers in canoes. Visiting the floating markets on the water, incredible experience. Our tour guide was also very passionate about his job.

Fantastic company, everything went as planned and we had a great time. The Mekong river is a wonderful place and we didn’t miss a spot with this tour. The hotel in Can Tho (Senior Hotel) was clean and in a strategic position, a few metres apart from the night market where we enjoyed a delicious street food dinner. Shoutout to Vinh for being the nicest guide!

The essence of Mekong Delta

Everything about the Mekong Delta is in the Cai Rang Floating Market - a life that revolves around the river, the fertile land it supports, the produce, and the commerce that tie it all together, now done more and more to cater to the multitude of tourists who come to see the action. It's a wholesale market but there are plenty of small retailer boats and vendors that effortlessly sidle at the tour boats offering various early morning treats - fresh fruits, fresh coconuts, freshly squeezed orange juice, soya milk, noodles, coffee... It's an experience not to be missed, bring cash. Another fascinating facet of it for me are those traditional wooden boats, the boat building skills behind it, and the design. On the way to the market, one can see many other industrial type boats loaded with silt, collected from the riverbed for use as garden soil and fertiliser. It's an industrial scale activity.

Lan Unicorn & Kiet were the best. Had a great tour! It's definitely touristy but not sure you can do much better. It was well-organized and the host and driver made sure we were comfortable and well-informed. Really enjoyed myself. If you're thinking about it - book!

excellent 2 day trip I would recommend this to anyone. also you do not need to upgrade your hotel as the three star is fine and in a good location to wander the street life at night

There is no floating market . Your marketing is old!!!! The guide also confirmed saying once the bridges were built, people started using other means of transportation to buy and sell their products.

An amazing and super packed tour! Beo was our awesome tour guide. We really appreciated him and his enthusiasm!! He was funny and informative and we felt like he really did everything he could to make sure we had a good time. Every moment of the tour was filled with something exciting, we did so many things in 2 days it was insane! We saw where he grew up and learned so much about life in the Mekong delta. It felt like a truly authentic experience!!! Thank you beo and Vietnam adventure tours!! We had such a wonderful time

Good potential but needs improvement

This tour has potential. The places visited were good, but it was let down by poor organisation and an inexperienced guide. Son was a nice your man who accommodate my recent injury but he gave minimal commentary and did not have the basic skills of a good tour guide. He didn’t give clear times and meeting points. His spoken English was good but he didn’t understand us at all. Fortunately we had a Vietnamese guest on the tour who happily intervened for us. Son needs a lot of training and an improvement in his English listening comprehension. The bed at the hotel was horrendous and wouldn’t satisfy any Westerners’ expectations. The cooking class was a waste of time as the instructor was poorly prepared. The early morning boat trip was late, negating the whole reason for staying overnight.

An ok fun tour - but +++ tips at each stop were expected!!

We were really looking forward to this tour and as much as we enjoyed it, a few things really let it down. Our tour guide was very friendly and informative but what we did not like was every single place he took us too he 'told' us how much we should be expected to tip. As Aussies we don't tip as a rule, but we are more than happy to tip for a great service so to be told how much and when did not go down well. The tour description said Tipping is optional! So we felt that this tour ended up being way overpriced as they did not pay for the little stops/tours on the way (we did as tips). We opted for the 5 start hotel upgrade, it was an ok hotel, clean and comfortable but definately not 5 star so really should not be sold as such. Overall, the tour was ok as the places we went were interesting but if you do go be prepared for all the ++++++++++++

Only big motorboots

The swimming market is not what the picture in the description made us expect. There are just some motorboots which don't sell fruits to tourist. The drive on the Mekong is also just a short drive on a motorboot to bring you to some islands where they sell you souvenirs and candy. 15 minutes of the tour where a drive in a longboot through a small canal which was nice. Our guide was very friendly but I wouldn't recommend the trip.

We had fantastic time , our guide blaire was great she was very knowledgeable with the local history & had a great sense of humour, we would recommend this tour to anyone the Mekong was amazing & the floating market was an eye opener with watch the daily life of the traders. Full experience of the Mekong Delta

The tour is a great choice if you want to discover the Mekong Delta region. It was well planned, ensuring that we stuck to the schedule without feeling rushed. The variety of activities (boat rides, bee farm, candy factory, pagoda, orchard, etc.) kept us engaged and there was never a dull moment. The beauty of the Mekong Delta was unexpected and every moment of the tour was accompanied by amazing views. We sampled a lot of local dishes, sweets and fruits. For the more adventurous, the tour even provided the chance to try Vietnamese delicacies such as coconut worms —an experience not for the faint-hearted. We also had the opportunity to cook part of our own lunch (Banh Xeo) on the second day. The small group we traveled with was friendly and pleasant and added to the overall enjoyment of the tour. Our guide, Harry, was cheerful, enthusiastic and had excellent English skills. He ensured that we felt well-informed and taken care of throughout the journey. His passion for the region was evident, as he was born and spent his childhood there and it was lovely to hear about the Mekong Delta from a local. While the tour had countless positive aspects, there was a minor setback. The ambiguity surrounding the choice of the 5-star hotel in Can Tho was a bit of a disappointment. However, with a quick inquiry to the tour operator via WhatsApp, we were able to switch to the Sheraton hotel, albeit at an additional cost. Advice: bring sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the sun, as the Mekong Delta can be quite hot. Managing expectations regarding the floating market is also crucial. If you imagine it to be like those in Thailand, you may be disappointed. However, it has its unique charm and distinctiveness. All in all, we highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a full experience of the Mekong Delta!
