What To Expect

This tour begins with pickup at your Saigon hotel, where you don a helmet and hop on a motorbike behind a driver/guide. Weave through the morning streets as Saigon wakes up: see street sweepers moving through the city, street vendors selling breakfast to locals, and motorbikes zipping through crowded roundabouts.

Stop at Saigon highlights including Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, the Saigon Central Post Office, and Independence Palace. Then visit the Nguyen Thien Thuat to see what life was like in the 1960s and today.

Continue to the biggest flower market in Saigon, where motorbikes squeeze through narrow alleys, and spot local landmarks along the way. Stop at an 80-year-old coffee shop to learn to make your own Saigonese coffee.

Then head to Binh Tay Market, in District 5, and see everything from street paintings, to book markets, and fashionable neighborhoods. See the stilt houses of the city's slums on your way to Ben Thanh Market.

This tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.

Scooter riding is seeing the real HCM City

Riding a scooter in Saigon is a challenging, even scary, proposition. My driver was excellent and I recommend it to anyone who wants to see the real city.

If you only have time for one tour...

If you only have time for one tour in Saigon take this one. Our guides Hanh, Huyen and Minh zipped us around on the back their motor bikes, allowing us to experience first hand the craziness that is life on the road in Saigon. Starting with the captivating surroundings of Bird coffee, we were taken around all the main sites in Saigon and a walking tour of a daily market before going for lunch at a local restaurant. It is not just the listed content of the tour that makes it enjoyable but also being able to see it with the enthusiasm and enjoyment that Hanh, Huyen and Minh provided. Without them the tour would have been well worthwhile, with their input and personalities it created an incredible memory of a vibrant city.

My partner and I loved this tour! It was our last day in Saigon but the two tour guides took us places we hadn't seen yet. Food on this tour was really good and plentiful. My advice...DO NOT EAT BREAKFAST BEFORE YOU GO! lol.... The two girls who took us on this tour were amazing! They one was Trang and unfortunately I didn't get the others name :- Both had very good English, were chatty and engaging. Great sense of humours and we all had many laughs as we were driven around. Thank you so much for making our last day in Vietnam so enjoyable!
