What To Expect

After hotel pickup in Ho Chi Minh City, your guide accompanies your small group on a war-themed tour. See the Saigon Notre-Dame Cathedral and Saigon Opera House, then learn about the Vietnam War, aka American War, at the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum.

Explore some eight thematic exhibitions with artifacts, photographs, and other materials on display from the museum's research, collection, storage, and preservation of thousands of archival documents and film. You'll witness the consequences of war and learn from a different perspective about the invasion forces has caused damage to Vietnam.

After visiting the museum, continue on to the legendary Cu Chi tunnels, located about 37 miles (60 km) away. On arrival, head underground to explore some of the restored 125-mile (200-km) network built by the Viet Cong, which played a vital role in the war. The labyrinth once included numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers, kitchens, and more.

Learn about the fierce battles that took place and hear wartime stories. Note that decades after bombing and mines devastated the area, ducks and water buffalos once again co-exist in the rivers along the side of the road.

Following a stop for lunch, you'll return to your original departure location.

I came with my son to Vietnam to understand more about the Virnam war. During my youth I followed the war by the newspapers of that time . Peter , our guide explained to us events of the war, I recommend this tour to every one, war is always terrible but the history can teach us not to repeat wars in the future . Thanks again to Peter our guide

Best day ever. Possibly a slight exaggeration but this was a fantastic trip. If you are into the history of Vietnam and Ho Cho Minh City in particular don’t miss this. Take lots of water though it gets hot in the tunnels.

This was a great tour, the only issue I had was the time at the War Remnants Museum. I felt very rushed. I could easily spend 3-4 hours there and with the tour we only had about an hour. Other than that, it was great!

The sites were great - I really loved the Museum and the Cu Chi Tunnels - in fact I wish we got more time at the museum but that's ok, it's what you risk at these kind of things. I wasn't really that chuffed with our guide - he kept saying he couldn't speak great English, but actually his English was fine, I just found that he talked really fast and repeated himself, and didn't really tell stories that well. I felt like I couldn't understand him because he would talk too fast or repeat a point over and over until I zoned out. He also didn't walk around the Government Palace or the museum with us and explain what we were seeing which would've been great, especially at the Palace which had very little info anywhere so ultimately was a pretty boring portion of the trip, as it's just a really well decorated government building without any history info etc. I can't fault the planning of the trip however, food was great, the places we went were cool, and I'm still glad I went.

Very good tour. Learned so much about the Vietnam war. It was a very solemn day. Not only did we tour the Cu Chi Tunnels and War Remnants museum, but we saw Notre Dame, and the Post Office too. We were there in January and it was very hot. Be prepared with sun screen and bug repellent. Also, wear comfortable shoes sneakers as you will do a lot of walking

I thought this was a relatively good tour. The tour guide I think his name was MT had great English and was really funny. Personally, I think both of these spots are places people, especially Americans, should visit if in Ho Chi Minh City. The place we ate was delicious and we even stopped for some weasel coffee.

I had just one day in the city and the tour covered all. The tour guide Huay was well informed and kept us engaged through the tour. I wish they would give some more time for the War Remanant museum but then they had to manage everything in one day. The stop at the workshop for war rehabilitated was wonderful. Beautiful lacquer and mother of pearl artifacts.
Zeer slechte ervaring!!

We waren woest.
