Justin was our guide and he was beyond knowledgeable about the island, its history and culture and we appreciated having him as tour guide. The tour itself was great given his knowledge of the stops and directions and we particularly loved seeing the island on the drive, learning about the differences in the beaches on the different sides of the island, the macadamia nut and coffee stop, the temple stop where we fed birds that landed on my daughter (so memorable) and the botanical garden. The owner was really attentive to anything we needed the entire trip and even came to add a seat to the van for passenger comfort.

Fun, Informative Experience

Justin was so knowledgeable about Hawaiian history and culture. We really enjoyed the hike to the waterfall. All the stops we made were good, well planned, and organized. We had a lot of fun, and the couple we met were friendly and nice.

I am not sure what happen with your particular booking and I as the owner send out a group text to every person whom has ever booked with this Company. I apologize again however I have No Knowledge of your Booking. I would of personally reached out and offered another day and checked your availability. I have not ever canceled any customer before speaking with them directly. We have had over thousands of bookings in the year 2023 from Viator with under 2% of Cancellations! Cancellations are handled by Email from Viator. Please Read any of our Reviews and you will not find 1 with lack of communication for 1 Epic Tour. I also have within the guidelines as you book for every customer to reach out directly to the company if you have not received a text on the day before just to make sure we do not overlook any customer.

Our driver was very knowledgeable about local history, where movies were filmed and where some of the celebrities live. He pointed out where President Obama grew up and surfed as a young boy and where he came to surf with the Secret Service in tow while in office. It was a very long day but time well spent. Most of the stops were on other tours so at times it was a bit crowded. We enjoyed it very much. Thank you Muasau.

Captain Vince was great!! My daughters and I truly enjoyed the tour. It was informative and fun. We had a small group and everyone just bonded together as a group. Captain Vince gave us so much information and had us all laughing. He even took us to a personal favorite restaurant of his, Nico’s on the Pier. Best part of our vacation!! This day was simply AMAZING! I very rarely give 5 stars but this was outstanding, every single one was earned! It took me a long time to book this because other services the reviews had us mostly in a bus with little time to actually interact and see the sites. Not this trip. First, ask for Justin. I promise you won’t regret it. Now there were only 3 of us on our trip, I traveled solo and was joined by a couple, by the end of the day we were friends. Thanks to Justin I learned a robust history of Hawaii, saw beautiful sights, including the temple, the beach, the garden, waterfall, the palace, etc. Since we were so small we also got to choose where we went instead of the regular tourist traps and had an amazing lunch in a local spot away from the crowds. Like I said, amazing. It is a LONG day but worth every single penny and second. Go, enjoy, you won’t regret it. Oh I forgot, Justin also takes killer pictures! Seriously he used to teach media so this gave me the best pictures of my trip. They look professional. What an amazing bonus!

Capt Vince was a great tour guide. Very friendly and personable. He pointed out so many interesting things. I was disappointed with the North Shore part of the trip did not see any turtles when snorkeling. The water was very murky. But overall we enjoyed the trip and do recommend Vince’s tour bus.

Nice bus tour!

I looked at many tour options and this was seemed to best fit our needs! Papa P was our guide and he was quite knowledgeable and nice! The communication with the owner was fantastic. We got reminder texts before our visit and a text the night before to confirm pick up time and place. All were on time! The tour was a bit long for us. It was a VERY long day. We did enjoy most of the stops. I don't know if this was the "norm" but our tour was combined with another tour that was going on a hike at Waimea Falls. IF we wanted to do this it was going to cost an extra $20 per person. We were a party of 4 and considering we had already paid over $400 for the tour, we didn't really want to pay out another $80, plus the $18 per person that we had to pay extra for the lunch stop. It's quite an expensive day. Since we opted out of the Waimea hike we had to just "kill time" for 1.5 hours while everyone else went on the hike. We often do bus tours in new cities to learn and see all the sites. This one was on par with other tours we have done. It was our first time on the island and we wanted to see all we could. For that, it checked all the boxes.

As first time visitors to O’ahu, we had no experience with tours of the island and wanted a great experience. My husband did some online research before our visit and because of great past reviews, we selected "The Awesome Circle Island Tour." (We booked through Viator). We were not disappointed!! Right from the start, our tour felt personal with a warm welcome and jovial conversation throughout. (It didn't hurt that our tour group only totaled 10 passengers). Our tour bus was clean and comfortable with big windows to allow maximum site lines. Our driver and guide, "Captain Vince," engaged with each member of the group - by name - and was especially inclusive of the kids on board. Vince is gregarious, personable, knowledgeable, and makes you feel at ease - all important characteristics of a great tour guide. By the end, he made us feel like a family! We saw great views from Diamond Head, Halona Blowhole, visits to cool stops like a macadamia nut farm, Waimea beach, Iolani Palace and Dole Plantation. We stopped for lunch at Fumi's Shrimp Shack ($ not included in the cost of the tour), which was excellent. We then stopped at a produce stand for a fried lumpia, something I'm sure I wouldn't have done without Vince's recommendation. I personally appreciated that Vince knew other tour guides and was friendly with all of them but wasn't shy about telling us he wanted to stay ahead of the other tour groups, lest we suffer bottle necking of large crowds (...and restrooms!) We learned a number of Hawaiian words and sayings, adding the all-important local flavor to our tour. By the end of the day, 9.5 hours had flown by, and I was a little sad to leave our makeshift tour group family. My husband and I both felt our time (and money) was well spent on "The Awesome Circle Island Tour." I'd highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to see the sites and become family with strangers... even for just one day.

Dirk was a fantastic tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He had lots of fun facts that were off script. He had a good mental map of the city knowing where hotels were without the GPS. We enjoyed all the stops on the tour. Epic 1 tours made accommodations for us when they realized we were coming from another part of island and would be late. They were great about directing us to pick new pickup point that was more convenient.
