We had this awesome experience with Dewa as our Driver and Agus as our guide on the mountain. Both are such a great guys. Our Driver Dewa answered all of our questions regarding Bali on the way to the mountain. Agus is a young guide who helped us to clip the mountain. He navigated us very good and he exactly knew where we might needed a helping hand. Also Agus was such a great photographer - you can’t believe that this guy doesn’t charge any money for his photos. I hope he can make more couples happy as he made us happy :) Thanks for everything guys - keep up the good work!

Great experience

We had a great experience at Mount Batur with our amazing guide Katut for the trek. and our driver Senegal who was very friendly and gave us great explanations about the history of Ubud !

Everything was perfectly organized, our driver picked us up right on time and was really kind. When we arrived a guide took us to the top of the vulcano, he was also really kind; took nice pictures for us and made sure we were okay the whole hike!

Once in a lifetime experience

It was an amazing experience. The trek was not easy but it is totally worth it. My guide was Senegall. He was very patient during the trek and also made sure that we reach the top before the sunrise. While returning we took another way which was altogether a different experience.

Great trip, be in good shape before

Great trip! I went solo and was joined by one other solo traveler and a guide. The hike is not easy, so do make sure you are in good physical shape. Wear good shoes and and be prepared for some looser gravel and climbing over some rocks. I brought a couple extra bottles of water and snacks in a small pack and was glad I did. I was surprised to see a ton of monkeys on the summit too! It was even better watching the monkeys here than the monkey forest in Ubud. The guides will likely want to go plow up the mountain fast, but feel free to tell them to slow down or you need a break. It was also cool to be able to check out the coffee plantation—they let us try a ton of different coffees and tea which hit the spot after the hike. And stopping by the rice terraces afterward was good, saves you an extra trip and you don’t need too much time there really.

Very well organised trip! Received an email the night before to confirm my pickup time. Our group was small (4 people), as a solo traveller it was good to have other people to experience the hike with. The hike itself was tough at times but we could always break when needed. Our guide Agus was fantastic, he kept a good pace and even pushed us to take the shorter but steep path up (About 1.5 hours) this meant we had plenty of time at the top to soak in the sunrise and get plenty of pictures! Agus even took photos for us! Would absolutely recommend doing this trip.

Pick up puntuale - siamo partiti dall’hotel tra nebbia, pioggia e nuvole Ci siamo fermati per un caffè dove siamo stati raggiunti da altre persone e poi spostati in auto verso il punto di partenza Lì ci ha accolto la nostra guida (gentilissima) che ci ha dato torce e acqua Salita abbastanza impegnativa, ma essendoci molta gente siamo saliti abbastanza piano Nonostante le nuvole é stato bellissimo vedere l’alba, uno spettacolo mozzafiato Dopo la discesa ci ha raggiunto il driver e ci ha portato alle Risaie di Tegalalang dove abbiamo fatto trekking per circa un paio d’ore Infine il driver ci ha riportato in hotel! Ottima organizzazione, bel trekking e tanti sorrisi!

2. Mal überlegen ob sich die Wanderung lohnt

Abholung im Hotel hat super geklappt, sowie die Fahrt dahin. Unser Guid hat aber verschlafen, somit kein Frühstück vor de Wanderung wie beschrieben. Für das schlechte Wetter konnte niemand was, jedoch sollte beschrieben werden, dass die Wanderung kein Spaziergang ist, bzw. Teilweise sehr streng. Auch für erfahrene Wanderer.

Die Fahrer waren ok, pünktlich, zuverlässig. Sehr langsam gefahren, zwischendurch mussten wir halten, uns wurde aber nicht gesagt warum genau und dann haben sie das Fahrzeug verlassen und die Fenster alle ein Stück geöffnet. Das trekking an sich super! Sehr steinig und staubig zum Teil, lohnt sich aber!! Und Guide war der Hammer! Viel über sich, seine Familie, Kultur und Religion erzählt.
