Our guide was funny and personable throughout the entire experience. He answered any questions we had throughout the tour. I would recommend this combination of trips to anyone interested in having fun on the water, as well as visiting a stunning mountain side temple. A great way to see two BEAUTIFUL sides of Bali!!

Amazing snorkeling experience!

Tour was well-coordinated with many beautiful tropical fish visible in the water. The driver, Adi, was on time and very attentive to the group’s needs. The snorkeling instructor went out of his way to create a great experience for everyone including one member of the group who was a bit uncomfortable in the water. Snorkeling in the Blue Lagoon was definitely a highlight of our trip to Bali. The waterfall was gorgeous, but a bit overrun by Instagrammers for our tastes.

My Bali highlight trip

Our day with Made was great! Pickup was punctual and we had good communications with our guide who spoke very good english. The snorkeling surpassed our expectations, there was a plethora of fish and other sea life (including turtles and rayfish), and the water was clear. After snorkeling, we were served lunch and our guide show us the tegenungan waterfall and Made took pictures and videos of us like a professional. The coffee plantation offered a surpsisingly large tasting platter of delicious teas and coffees, and a short but comprehensive tour of the plants involved in the making of the drinks. All in all a very recommandable tour, especially if you are lucky enough to get Made as your guide!

Mandatory shuttle to temple not included?

Amazing snorkeling experience! Be aware - LOTS of driving during the day. We started at 7am - snorkeling was 1.5hours from our hotel. Then another hour to the temple. Then 2 hours back to the hotel. We spent more time in the car than doing activities that day! 4 stars because when you arrive at the temple you have to take a shuttle bus up. There is no other way to the temple and you are required to take the shuttle. The price of the shuttle is not included in this tour? It was not listed on things that you had to pay for. We were not happy about this and thought it was not right of the tour. The price is 45000 per person to take the shuttle that was not told to us when booking. Make sure you are prepared with some extra cash that day.

We had Denia as our guide here in Bali and he was really great and insightful! He listened to our needs and we highly recommend doing a private tour for this trip as you’ll get more out of Bali because your guide will show you the hidden gems of Bali. Will definitely be back for sure!

I really enjoyed this day trip. Snorkeling in the morning was nice, and then we had lunch and headed up to the Gates of Heaven at Lempuyang Temple. This location seems to be pretty far from many other things, so be prepared to drive for a while. Also, when you get there - there is a wait. Both our driver and my husband were surprised I wanted to wait the 2-3 hours for photos, but I did — and it was well worth it. We explored other areas of the temple while we waited, and it made the time pass. We also got photos on the backside of the gate, which was neat too. The main positive is that the temple has a coordinated number system for tourists to take photos and they have a set photographer that will take photos with your phone. They also allow 4 poses each, which helps move it along. I would not recommend doing this with kids since there is such a long wait and minimal facilities. I am very glad we had a guide to walk us through the process and show us what to do. We would have never figured this out on our own. Fair warning - that is not water in front of the gates. It’s a mirror. Be sure to look it up ahead of time so that you aren’t disappointed. I do think it would be better to visit the temple first thing in the morning when there are smaller crowds, but our driver insisted that snorkeling was best in the morning. One con: there are not decent bathrooms near the temple. And you still have to pay a small fee to use them (which is very common in Bali).

Amazing snorkeling!

Amazing experience! Our drive Agus was on time, friendly, professional, and above all else a safe driver. He took us to the temple then to snorkel. He even stopped by an amazing place for coffee and tea that’s grown and made on site. Although the weather wasn’t the best which caused visibility to be poor- the snorkeling was some of the best I’ve ever experienced. I’ve only snorkeled in Hawaii and Mexico- but the reef here was unlike anything I’ve experienced. It was truly magical. The best tip I’d give is to so the snorkel before the temple. We did the temple first and by the time we went to snorkel we were really tired and did half the tour.

Our guide Agus was the complete highlight of the tour! He was incredibly nice from the moment he picked us up, to the moment he dropped us home. He showed us the most amazing scenery and answered all of our questions. Next time we come to Bali, we will be booking this tour again mainly because of him. The snorkeling was of course very fun as well. There was so much to see underwater!

Made is fantastic! Starting his own business, he is eager to please. His tour is completely customized. We went snorkeling, then to Lempuyang Temple and instead of the coffee plantation to a water purification temple of the Royal family. At each stop, we had our own private tour being one step ahead. We loved Made's commentary about life on Bali and the unique tour he offered us! We had such a great day- we asked to go to see a turtle sanctuary the next day- no problem and we added another temple in the South. Made is on time, on point and knowledgable- we highly recommend him when you travel to Bali. We are definitely going on more tours with Made!

Two friends and I had a great tour with our kind, friendly guide Made from Local Bali Host, who picked us up from two locations, and was ready when we were, and arranged the sequence to suit us. The snorkeling near Blue Lagoon was fantastic. We saw tons of fish, a jellyfishlike creature and a sea turtle. A simple lunch was provided in the cute seaside restaurant, where there are showers and a changing room. You can also buy beer, soft drinks, and desserts, or order other food. We then stopped to try local coffees and teas, and Made kindly arranged to get Dramamine for a less comfortable person. We then headed up to Lempuyang temple, where we tried Balinese fruit and enjoyed the view without waiting for the jump shot. Made took some pictures for us on the "side," instead. It was a wonderful day, and I would highly recommend Made and Local Bali Host for tours and transport!

Our tour guide Made was very helpful and informative and went out of his way to ensure we had an awesome day. The snorkelling was the highlight, it was crystal clear and full of sea life. Lunch was included and very tasty local fare. We also managed to make it to a waterfall which was also quite breathtaking and well worth the visit. 10/10 would do this tour again, thanks Made!
