Please meet your tour representative 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time underneath the tent on the wooden dock that is on the water-side of the large red Mt Robert's Tramway building (building that houses the gondola that goes up the mountain) at the main Cruise Ship Terminal. The address is 490 S Franklin St, Juneau, AK 99801 and the pickup location is on the ocean-side of the building. Your Alaska Tales Tour Representative will be holding a sign that will read, "Alaska Tales". If you have any trouble finding this person, please call us.

Top notch. No need to book through the cruise line. Alaska Tails ships look brand new & clean. Transportation from the port to the pier was in a new bus, fast, and the driver was very informative. The onboard crew was amazing.

Would highly recommend this tour & company. Very well organised. Great bus driver to docks (Mitch) who gave interesting narrative to & from port. Boat clean & spacious. Crew & guides fabulous (Justin, Stacie & Steph). Knew where to take us & best positioning to view Orcas & humpbacks with multiple sightings. Worth every penny & the time. Go if you can…..

Lovely setting and team tried their best to find whales throughput trip which we got to see, I would say value for money vs whale watching trips I have done previously was pretty bad

Captain Kyle, Stephanie and Isobelle were great guides. Very knowledgeable. We found the ride peaceful and beautiful. Nice how the know the whales in the area.

We booked this tour when our previously booked cruise ship excursion was cancelled at the last minute. I'm so grateful that we did! Not only was this tour smaller, more intimate, and most importantly - less expensive - it was PHENOMENAL. We saw about 10 whales - included a mother and her young. The guides, were absolutely excellent. They were very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and they knew the whales individually and could provide a bit of backstory. Really enjoyable experience overall. I want to give a particular shout out to our tour bus driver - Benjamin. I really appreciate when people are passionate about their home and genuinely seem to enjoy sharing a little bit of their life and experiences with guests. He was so knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna, culture of the Juneau area, and the natural beauty of the area. His joy for living was infectious. Thank you!

Nice tour, however go in the summer

Pick up and drop off from the cruise terminal was seamless, our bus driver Julie was really funny. Taylor our Naturalist on the tour was very knowledgeable of whales, he was very enthusiastic and passionate it was a pleasure listening to him. We went toward the end of the season so we saw 3 whales spouting. Would do it again however earlier in the summer when there is much more whale activity.

The people running the tour were great. The problem was that it was raining all day and we were not able to stand out and see the whales. We were able to spot a few from inside but it wasn’t the same.
