What To Expect

Jimmy Buffett spent a lot of time in Key West. Learn about his time in the area and visit the places that had a big impact on his life and career on this walking tour around Old Key West. Hear stories and see places you're unlikely to discover on your own, with a small group of just 15 people.

Make your way to the Margaritaville Restaurant on Duval Street to meet your guide. Over the course of 1.5 hours, discover where Jimmy Buffett played his first and other gigs, his recording studio, locations that provided inspiration for his songs, as well as his favorite restaurants and watering holes.

Afterwards, stop for a slice of Key Lime Pie, and visit Mallory Square, the location of the first Margaritaville, before ending the tour at Capt. Tony’s Saloon with an alcoholic drink.

The tour guide’s knowledge about Jimmy Buffett was limited to what he learned from internet searches over the past two years. He had no stories based on local knowledge or local folklore.

While the tour was informative and well done by our guide, the tour information on this site is misleading. The only alcohol included was a warm, premade small bottle of margarita. For the price, I believe, it should have been at least a drink we could enjoy right then.

Having a little tour of bars and restaurants. We were hoping to end at Captain Tony's and go inside and have a drink. Are tour guide Jessica is very knowledgeable and the key lime pie was delicious. I think I was hoping for more Jimmy Buffett information, memorabilia and such

It was just ok. For the price of the tour expected more. Guide was friendly but had a canned speech and didn’t know much above that. Also needs to slow down her walking speed with older adults.

Caleb is a very lively guide and knowledgeable about Jimmy Buffet. The tour was very interesting. You walked back following his footsteps when he spent time in Key West. The only think I would change is the visit to a local Key Lime pie store. The slice was too big and we could not finish it! What a waste! Instead of having a pie right before lunch time, can we have something such as mango smoothie to quench the thirst?
