Excellent tour

The tour company was one of the best ones I have worked with. My husband and I were taking cruise in Japan. We signed up with this company on a half day Nara trip. The company offered to pick us up in Osaka even though they start the trip from Kyoto. The tour guy provided lots of information about the temple and Japanese culture. We enjoyed the trip every much.

Lack of communication between Viator and the tour operator.

We missed the bus. Because Viator sent us the confirmation 2 days before tour departure remind us that the departure time is 8:45 am, but the tour actually start 7:45am. Although the tour operator send us a email said 7:45am. But we took the last reminder from Viator reminder

Our guides led us around areas filled with deers and history that was so enjoyable. They were sweet and kind and helped us get back on track when we got a bit lost. You will see history and deer that will stay with you.

We had a wonderful experience with our Viator half-day tour. Our guide Yoko enhanced our understanding of Japanese history and culture. She was extremely personable and we enjoyed her presentations. The tour had a bit more walking than we expected and the timing was somewhat tight but Yoko managed the group well. We might do the exact same tour again if/when we return to Kyoto.
Too rushed to enjoy

Way too rushed. We were late leaving and hit traffic so we had very little time at each site. The guide was lovely but wasn't a confident English speaker. It is mostly just transport to the sights. No time to even feed the deer.
Niet te doen voor mensen met beperkte loop mogelijkheden

Omdat volgorde van bezoek werd omgedraaid betekende dit dat er eerst wat klimmerk nodig was en daarna veel lopen. Partner heeft beperking mbt lopen en dit was voor haar niet te doen. Belangrijkste attractie heeft zij dus niet kunnen zien. Grote Boeddha beeld dus. Zij heeft dus anderhalf uur in de bus moeten wachten. Er was geen alternatief beschikbaar
