When your cruise ship docks at Civitavecchia, experience the ancient splendor of Rome on a full-day shore excursion. Depending on the length of lines, you may not be able to enter St. Peter's Basilica. If there is not enough time to clear security, you will be able to explore around the square
If the total Group has less than 9 participants you will have an English-speaking driver for the day. He will give commentaries while you're inside the vehicle. Drivers are not authorized to accompany you on foot .
This is a shared tour and you will be expected to maintain the pace of the group. If you have limited mobility we suggest booking a private tour for your best enjoyment.
Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after receiving your voucher if there are not enough participants. In this case, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
A moderate amount of walking is necessary during the tour. Buses have limited access to the city center sites. The streets of Rome can be crowded; it can be difficult to maneuvre with strollers.
We reserve the right to reverse the Itinerary at any given time starting at the Basilica of St Peter and ending at the Colosseum.
We are not responsible for admission tickets that you have booked on your own .
Being a shared tour, it's important to respect the time allotted at each stop by your driver. We kindly ask that you return to the vehicle at the appointed time so that we can stay on schedule.

Valentino made this excursion so full, fun and interesting! He has solid knowledge and is a superb driver! Very much enjoyed his commentary, choice of restaurants and skills navigating the city were commendable. Would love to be on another excursion with Valentino!

Perfect Rome in a day

Fabio was absolutely amazing! This tour was worth every Penny and more! Saw so much in a short amount of time. Would highly commend. The driver made sure we saw and did everything we wanted. A must stop is la Romana Gelateria this was the perfect ending.

I have mixed feelings about this tour. Our driver, Patricio was OUTSTANDING. He was waiting for us as per the instructions and was personable and very sweet. However, although my husband and I and another family were there on time at 8am per the instructions, Patricio was not allowed to leave by the office until much later because even though the office was made aware that we had tickets to go inside the colosseum at 9:30 am, they made us all wait for the couple that did not show up for a little over 30 minutes and I missed my appointment to go in. The other company accommodated us for a 2:30pm time and Patricio took us back but said he needed to return at 3:45pm. That was not enough time to do the complete tour and we had to stay and hire a taxi, who ended up charging us over $300 to return to the ship, even though the advertised fee on the door was $125. For this reason I am requesting a partial refund from the company.

Loved that the meeting place was clearly laid out and easy to find. Rome was amazing and our guide was very informative. Be prepared for a lot of walking, so I would not recommend for seniors.

This was very fast paste with little to no downtime or free time to explore. You are fighting public traffic on the streets of Rome to keep up with guide. This was hard with kids in strollers. The streets arent long and with a big group our guide would make a turn and we would lose her before we were caught up. We relied on part of our group staying in front to hear where the meeting points were to relay that to those of us in the back of the group and our own map of the area. It was super frustrating to get through as a complete tour with all the people blocking your way. This was not the fault of the guide per say but more consideration should be given to manage group size. Someone in out group fell and was limping and the pace was the same.

Ciao, Christina Thank you for your feedback. You are correct, the tour of Rome is go go go! Rome is big and there is a lot to see. It seems to me that your complaint is more for the situation than with us. As you saw, Rome is chaotic and guides have to make it all work in spite of difficult circumstances. You must understand that guides are under the gun to accomplish everything on the itinerary, which explains the pace. To go slower or add downtime would create another problem that would result in even more complaints (namely, not getting around to see everything). It's a fine line the guide has to ride. I regret that you felt the tour was a very fast pace but I must admit I'm a bit surprised that you expected it to be relaxed. Rome is a huge city like Paris or New York. The itinerary is stated in the description; you can see that it is jam-packed. I'll be in touch to get more details and discuss your ideas for making the service better. Miki was great and very knowledgeable! Long but worth it tour! Be prepared for all the walking. With this tour unfortunately you don’t get to go inside of Vatican and you have to pay 50 euros to get into the forum.

I highly recommend this tour if you have only one day in Rome (we were on a cruise). Lucio our tour guide was amazing. He was so friendly and passionate about his job and gave us an amazing tour of the entire city. We hit all the highlights including the 4 main cathedrals including St. Peters, the Colosseum, the Roman forum, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps. He knew all the good spots for great views of the City and dropped us at the perfect location for each of the sights. He then drove us right back to our cruise ship. I couldn’t think of a better way to do Rome in a day. Thank you Lucio!

Rome was absolutely beautiful. I was in awe at the shere magnitude of the remains of one of history's most powerful nations. Miki our tour guide was awesome. Tour guy was very knowledgeable but he was easily offended by people stupid questions. He waited till the last minute for a late couple. Regardless, we were able to cover some highlights of Rome. The tour was super fast so unfortunately we were not able to buy stuff.

This was my favorite tour of our entire trip. Our guide, Daniella was amazing. She was thorough and detailed and informative without being boring. Rome was amazing. We saw all the sites as promised. We did a lot of walking. Had plenty of time on our own for exploring and lunch. This was an excellent tour and worth the time and the money. Highly highly recommend this.

For a full day of site seeing you can't go wrong with this tour! Danielle was very informative and patient. We visited the colosseum, Trevi fountain and the vatican city to name a few. Worth every penny!!!

The trip was wonderful, the tour guide Danni was amazing and awesome. She prepared the tourist on the bus talking about the places we are going to visit and also showing/talking about the places the bus was traveling. The trip gave some time to roam around by ourselves. Glad we did this excursion with wonderful Tour guide Danni. We will recommend this trip to anyone with Danny as tour guide.
